Last film I watched at the cinema with my father before he passed....he commented about this tune and Jamie's voice..... endearing and will live with me forever. Love you dad x
TheGooners11 i think that is just his very own style of singing, which in my opinion is quite signature... at least i really enjoy it (and many others do) :)
This beautiful song sadly takes me back to a truly terrible period of my life. I have known abject despair and utter hopelessness and the line, 'beats a lonely rhythm all night long' breaks my heart every time. Thankfully, things are much, much better for me now and I would like to say to anybody struggling out there, please don't give up. You will smile again.
Jamie is a very under-rated musician, imho. He's a genre-busting genius, taking songs from different decades and creating more romantic covers. His music appeals to all ages, the sign of really good talent. He strikes me as a very warm and genuine man. I hope that his star continues to shine and grow, endlessly. Bet his family are very proud of him!
I think I understand your comment,Maria, and I agree with you fully. I too, think this piece is"one of the most beautiful songs ever written". It is not as if you had written that it was one of the best ten ever written,or something specific like that . Anyway, I sure do love what this music does to me,....and for me. Have a beautiful day,Maria.
Realign all the stars Above my head Warning signs Travel far I drink instead On my own Oh,how I've known The battle scars And worn out beds Gentle now A tender breeze blows Whispers through a Gran Torino Whistling another tired song Engines humm and bitter dreams grow Heart locked in a Gran Torino It beats A lonely rhythm all night long These streets are old They shine with the things I've known And breaks through the trees Their sparkling Your world Is nothing more Than all The tiny things You've left behind So tenderly Your story is Nothing more Than what you see Or What you've done Or will become Standing strong Do you belong In your skin Just wondering Gentle now a tender breeze blows Whispers through the Gran Torino Whistling another tired song Engines humm and bitter dreams grow A heart locked in a Gran Torino It beats A lonely rhythm All night long May I be so bold and stay I need someone to hold That shudders my skin Their sparkling Your world Is nothing more Than all The tiny things You've left Behind So realign All the stars Above my head Warning signs Travel far I drink instead On my own Oh How i've known The battle scars And worn out beds Gentle now a tender breeze blows Whispers through the Gran Torino Whistling another tired song Engines humm and better dreams grow Heart locked in a Gran Torino It beats a lonely rhythm All night long It beats a lonely rhythm All night long It beats a lonely rhythm All night long
Our friend's husband took his life a few days ago. Still in shock. This song is helping me to deal with this tragedy. The lyrics are beautiful and touch my soul. I can't get this song out of my head. We miss you Michael! RIP my brother.
Ojalá mi papá me viva muchos años.
The people who dislike this song are fools, this will indeed be his best musical work, this world will loose and amazing actor and director, wish I could have the chance to meet him.
The most beautiful soul, this man proves that the very best things come in small packages. Genius, heartfelt and dripping in talent. Timeless. Enjoy....
I watched this film with my son recently - it left a lasting impression thanks to this wonderful music. Hopefully, this memory will last with him long after i have gone?
Jamie Cullum - Gran Torino ... "So tenderly your story is nothing more than what you see or what you've done or will become standing strong do you belong in your skin; just wondering.."
I just discovered this tune today while walking my dog and I can say as a working musician this is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. Just incredible. It takes a lot for a piece of music to stay on repeat this long...just brilliant writing and emotion behind this one. Had it been produced 20 or 30 years ago by a well known artist it would be a staple and classic right now.
I love Jamie cullum so god damn much. He's so under appreciated and a can't think of anything he's bad at. This songs constantly on repeat for me... it could be my favioute ☺️🤓
He is the most amazing talented individual. I saw him live back in the day at the House of Blues in California. I’m in Florida now. I just want to see him again
He has done well working with Clint Eastwood on this song. It brings tears to my eyes every time I watch Gran Torino, My father it somehow reminds me of him next im going to post The amazing Clint Eastwood singing it.
This always happens to me. I see a movie, let the credits pass at the end and miss some of the best music I have ever heard in my life. This guy isn't Michael Buble or Harry Connick Jr. two fellows I have tremendous respect for, but Jamie Cullum is a great flavor added into the world of music. Yes, spending a little more money than you would like on something is not wrong....unless you don't share it. Thank God for talent like this that moves the soul.
Never heard of Jamie Cullum before this, but now because of this song and particularly this performance, I am a fan. Definitely among the most beautiful songs ever written! Major kudos!!
Thank you for sharing this! What a voice Jamie has. "Gran Torino" is an amazing song. Reminds me of the years of my youth building fast cars and now growing too old and reminiscing.
Same here mate, but don't be to down about being old. A lot of people just don't get their. They are struck down while young for any number of reasons. I often think about my life and have I done anything worthwhile, then I think of my wife and 6 kids and that answers my question.
Last film I watched at the cinema with my father before he passed....he commented about this tune and Jamie's voice..... endearing and will live with me forever. Love you dad x
How sweet. A memory that last a lifetime
🙏❤🚩
What a beautiful memory you have of your dad. You are a lucky man.
love you too son
Absolutely beautiful. Movie and song and thought. Thank you for sharing.
I think Jamie Cullum is one of the most under appreciated musicians of his time.

agreed
yep
Every non-musician says that about every musician. Shut up already!
This is pure talent I studied most of life this is remarkable
This song and the movie associated with it, are grossly under appreciated.
"Gran Torino" had a message, and the movie delivered that message powerfully and eloquently.
. . the world is nothing more than all the tiny things that you left behind. .
May be one of the greatest lyrics written by anyone
+Mikee22ification
it is so profound and simple. All the things, we think we are BIG, and Very Important..
You should listen to The doors
Its up there with the Beatle's quote "The love you take, is equal to the love you make," in terms of profound lyrics...
Usually, it brings tears to my eyes when I think about the line or hear the song...
The best line ever!
This beautiful song sadly takes me back to a truly terrible period of my life. Kelvin O' Hare Me, too. Divorce sucks.
so true xxx
im on empty
I'm so glad you made it through to the happiness you enjoy now,Kelvin.
I’m in that place right now...
This will be played sadly at the Passing of one of our greatest Actors and Directors of the 20 century :(
Not looking forward to that. His passing will mirror the feeling I got when Robin Williams died.
I can't imagine anyone else singing that song. His voice is intoxicating
Matt Monro walk away
This is something cosmic with this song, my Father was a Korean War Veteran who was wounded in combat and had a 1974 Gran Torino.
Jamie's voice here is intoxicating.
This song is unfairly under appreciated
Jamie is a very under-rated musician, imho. He's a genre-busting genius, taking songs from different decades and creating more romantic covers. One of the most beautiful songs ever written ... and performed! Love it!
Maria Heather Agreed...100%!!
I'm sure you aren't much more broad in your tastes.
I think I understand your comment,Maria, and I agree with you fully. I too, think this piece is"one of the most beautiful songs ever written".

❤
What a beautiful voice singing a beautiful song. Thank you.
Jamies tone is perfect for this beautiful song I cry every time.
Realign all the stars
Above my head
Warning signs
Travel far
I drink instead
On my own
Oh,how I've known
The battle scars
And worn out beds
Gentle now
A tender breeze blows
Whispers through a Gran Torino
Whistling another tired song
Engines humm and bitter dreams grow
Heart locked in a Gran Torino
It beats A lonely rhythm all night long
These streets are old
They shine with the things I've known
And breaks through the trees
Their sparkling
Your world
Is nothing more
Than all
The tiny things
You've left behind
So tenderly
Your story is
Nothing more
Than what you see
Or
What you've done
Or will become
Standing strong
Do you belong
In your skin
Just wondering
Gentle now a tender breeze blows
Whispers through the Gran Torino
Whistling another tired song
Engines humm and bitter dreams grow
A heart locked in a Gran Torino
It beats A lonely rhythm
All night long
May I be so bold and stay
I need someone to hold
That shudders my skin
Their sparkling
Your world
Is nothing more
Than all
The tiny things
You've left
Behind
So realign
All the stars
Above my head
Warning signs
Travel far
I drink instead
On my own
Oh
How i've known
The battle scars
And worn out beds
Gentle now a tender breeze blows
Whispers through the Gran Torino
Whistling another tired song
Engines humm and better dreams grow
Heart locked in a Gran Torino
It beats a lonely rhythm
All night long
It beats a lonely rhythm
All night long
It beats a lonely rhythm
All night long

This song deserves so much more credit, literally is what hooked millions to the Movie Gran Torino. Jamie Cullum, king of the music world in my eyes!
So underrated. This should go down as one of the greatest songs ever
Great movie, great theme song.
He does have a beautiful voice! Love this song and love it with Clint Eastwood singing it too.. for some reason it makes me a little melancholy.
Es inexplicable lo que me hace sentir esta canción
Just watched the movie, really good but sad ending. Such a great song, Jamie's voice is amazing.
One of my favourite songs of all time. Emotional and moving.
Makes me think of how long clint will be with us , seeing him in the film of the same title ! :-(
He's immortal bro
Forever, mate! You bet it.
Just watched Gran Torino again and thought the same...
I'm still dumbfounded that this song wasn't nominated for the Oscar, this and the song from "The Wrestler".
man this song is deep and sad but not deeply saddening
The people who dislike this song are fools, this will indeed be his best musical work, this world will loose and amazing actor and director, wish I could have the chance to meet him.

The world is nothing more than the tiny things you left behind......I’m 74 and this phrase so resonates with me!
Absolutely amazing version with the orchestra. When it starts at 1.48, it becomes warmer and heavenly. pure bliss.
Loved the movie, love the song even more.
The most beautiful soul, this man proves that the very best things come in small packages. Genius, heartfelt and dripping in talent. Timeless. Enjoy....
a pure artist captures a movie in the song....
How is it possible to dislike this. Do these 56 people have a heartbeat?
Love this song at the end of the movie with the car going up and down next to the water . It’s so peaceful
I often come here to listen to this song 🎵. It's so beautiful.
This guy stands out because he’s so real , he is himself, pure fantastic musician 😃😃
This is sooooo good (how can 8 people hate it?) the mans a genius.
Thank you Carlos for not supporting propoganda marketing ads and voting for just a video of good music!
Thanks, Carlos...you're the one

The emotion of such a young man. Its takes a life to feel this way. Thank you
Amazing love the film, then found that Clint had asked Jamie to do the lyrics and music. Currently watching the film weekly and the music daily.
What a talent! I love the way he goes out into the audience and applauds the orchestra. That is a humble and appreciative individual. Beautiful!
How beautiful is that seriously!!!
I just love this song. Magic Film and sure is a classic sound track.
I love the rendition very much... have a blessed life Mr. Cullum...
I watched this film with my son recently - it left a lasting impression thanks to this wonderful music. Hopefully, this memory will last with him long after i have gone?
Lost for words every time,a blink n a tear! Magical.
A voice for the ages......this song will be played, I hope, by some gathering of musicians 10,000 years into the future....
