You are deceived. This was false teaching from a man who does not understand the Bible. Anyone keeping a weekly sabbath is an enemy of God. There is no longer a weekly sabbath. Read the book of Galatians very carefully and stop listening to the false teachers of the church, or the jews.
My friend. Galatians has nothing to do with keeping the sabbath but only how one is saved. It has nothing to do with Christian living at all. The evidence is strongly in favor of the sabbath being for today and has never been repealed, which is why no one that disagrees has ever won a debate on this subject and the majority of scholars in Christianity admit that the sabbath is in fact on Saturday and was changed by the Roman church.

I am so glad I watched your video on the Sabbath. I have struggled with this since I became a Christian. I went to Liberty University for six years, earned my Masters in ministry and church leadership and this question was never answered. I never accepted the Sunday worship because of Genesis. God sanctified Saturday, made the day holy way before there ever was Judaism. I did learn that Emperor Constantine changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday and this bothered me too! It has always bothered me and I had this gut feeling that I was wrong about Sunday worship. The point you brought up really struck me is the fact that there was no New Testament during those times. I have a church, it is closed currently because of we lost our boiler and it was too expensive to fix. I plan on opening again when it warms up and should have the furnace problem rectified by next winter. I will open the church for Sabbath day worship for sure. I am convinced now, because of Genesis alone and the points you brought up about Paul writing about the special days concerning fasting, not Sabbath day worship. Another thought is the ten commandments, why would God put in to honor the Sabbath and keep it holy? We can read all the other nine commandments but for some reason ignore the Sabbath commandment. The Sabbath is reinstated in NT. Luke 23:56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment. Should Christians celebrate Christmas, sunday is not the worship day nor Christmas is the festival of God, then what about circumcision, if circumcision is God's covenant then why baptism, where did baptism come from it not found in the listed commandments nor any of the 613 commandments. Jesus kept sabbath and was circumcised then why shouldn't Christians be circumcised, circumcision is God's covenant and God is not man to change his covenant, God's covenant is everlasting means cannot be changed, if it is then that makes no sense.

Correct, there is no weekly sabbath. The few who Jesus came to save are all resting in Jesus (the sabbath). It is only those who Jesus did not come to save they keep a weekly sabbath.

I never knew as a christian about sabbath. I did not know about a lot of things! I was raised in a catholic home. As soon as I got out on my own I no longer was a part of catholic faith. I knew as a child it was not in the teachings of the bible. I still didnt know. In meeting someone that I worked for. Was changing to jewish faith. When I asked some questions about sabbath, I was told it was just for the jews. Just recently I read in the bible that all of us need to honor the sabbath. I no longer eat pork . By choice. I obey the 10 comandments.
The Sabbath has nothing to do with eating meat. The Bible says many scriptures that God gave us meat to eat as well as the greens. The not eating of pork was only for the Israelites who were in the desert for 40 years. They had very strict different laws from God because He rescued them and they are His chosen people. You. Dont eat pork in vain because I can assure you that I had a demon attacking me for almost 20 years when I was disobeying God and Father Jehovah Himself spoke to me from Heaven and told me 2 things! He said, "You must humble yourself" Then He spoke to me again and said, If you obey no harm will come to you" I have seen harm when I disobeyed and if I do anything I'm not supposed to the devil will pay me a visit! And Father has spoken to me quite a few times in the past to let me know what I'm supposed to be doing. You go ahead and not eat pork, but not me! There's not much to enjoy anymore in these end days when you are a born again Christian with no husband and no family or friends.
I actually do follow the land law also. I didn’t put my goats on pasture this year. I feed hay all year and stored grain. It's more costly, but I trust It will be made up for. I also didn’t eat from my fruit trees this year either.

Thanks for this brother! I recently changed my schedule and will be starting to observe the Sabbath Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset. I will still, however, go to church on Sundays and worship with my congregation, as we can worship on any other day of the week that we appoint as important and the Lord accepts this (Romans 14).

Excellent message and case🙏🏾 regarding Acts 15, I always thought the four commandments were starting routes in a way for Gentile converts so as to not overwhelm them at first. I could be wrong, Shalom and God bless🙏🏾
One problem is that in Acts 15 and in Acts 21, (when Paul is in Jerusalem) is like 10 years apart according to Biblehub timeline. There James uses the exact same letter that was written 10 years earlier in Acts 15, with the same four things. So this cant be true that the four things is like a starter pack/route.

@@cmmn_crdnl I think the Gentiles already was taught by Paul and his people - The Gospel and living worthy of the Gospel. That is they were taught the Law of Christ and moral things in and around that, plus doctrines about things like Baptism, Communion etc we see in the Letters and so on. So they had information before hearing these 4 things in Acts 15, and Paul was always hard on fornication in his letters. So it is not like they only kept these 4 things plus believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. There are more to it, but not the Law as in Circumcision, diet, feasts, clothing etc, things that where given to the children of Israel for a time. I think Peter understood what Paul did, that there was a progressive revelation that certain laws were for a time, and that's why we see Peter in Gal 2 be like he is. He was free with the Gentiles. He got more free after the vision in Acts 10. His boat was rocked, and started to understand the freedom in Christ. So it was progressive. But for Paul, he was taught straightly from Jesus according to himself. So he saw this more clear.

There is no weekly sabbath, and anyone keeping a weekly sabbath is Gods enemy and is outside the kingdom of God. A weekly sabbath was the old testament that has passed away, and it was for the jews. The new testament/covenant sabbath is the entire new testament age, from when Jesus went back to heaven, until his return on judgement day when he is going to cast all weekly sabbath keepers into the lake of fire for working on the sabbath (the new testament age). The few actual Christians that exist are resting in Jesus, the sabbath. They are not working for their salvation as are all weekly sabbath keepers. All sabbath keepers are putting the new wine of the new covenant into the old bottles of the old covenant that has passed away. When Jesus returns they are going to find that they have nothing but broken empty bottles.

Then it will make sense why you think the remember to keep the sabbath Holy is done away with. Jim Statley, can you explain why the Lord Jesus Christ avoided meeting on the Sabbath day with the Disciples and met with them on the First day of the week instead? In (St. John 20:19,26) notice that the Lord did not come back to meet with His Disciples on the Sabbath, He allowed the Sabbath to passed and then came back to meet with them on the eight day (St. John 20:26) this is why the Apostles take the Lord Supper (Acts 20:7) this is why the Apostle Paul commanded that collections should be taken up on the First Day of the week (1 Cor.161-2) if every one was keeping the Sabbath why would Paul commanded that collections must be taken up on the First Day of the week instead of the Sabbath?
Good informative teaching . Would lightly disagree with you on 1 point , that is breaking of bread on first day of week point . You went to some lengths to explain that but the much simpler and more accurate reason for breaking of bread on first day of week is “ breaking of bread “in Jewish terms means having a meal so what was happening on first day of week was a group of believers were having a meal together and were fellowshipping and praying together which can happen any day of week . This was not the Passover meal nor was it a weekly sabbath service just a meal “ breaking of bread “ context .

Jim, I am a long time Sabbath Keeper. From age 12, I'm 71 now, I have asked about why people did not keep GODS Sabbath and instead kept one HE did not Command. At age 12 I had a personal crisis with my family and wanted to live anywhere else but with them and I was praying for a way out. My prayers also included understanding of the Sabbath and the working of the gifts. I wanted a personal experience with GOD. I have been justified in my faith with Jesus (meaning I was made right) and am in the process of sanctification, (learning my way to prepare for HIS Heavenly Kingdom). I thought it might be of interest to you and your listeners and readers to have a few points to anchor your belief in our Savior/Redeemers teachings. First, I will remind us all, GOD says in HIS words "I am the same today, tomorrow and forever, I change not.".Hold fast to this statement by GOD. When we as the children of GOD do not love/Agapi GOD while knowing HIS law, intentionally, knowingly and willfully violate HIS commandments we commit sin. Once we know GOD and HIS instructions and we willfully sin there is no more sacrifice for our sins. Jesus died once for all. There is no more sacrifice. The temple curtain was rent/torn signifying the end to ordinances. Now, under the new covenant we have an advocate with the Father. We must come to understand our need, we must recognize our sin and confess that sin with a contrite spirit and a broken heart. It is written in HIS words that Jesus is just and will forgive us our sins. No more sacrifice but there is forgiveness. The second item I'd strongly recommend your readers and listeners to consider prayerfully is the GOD stated principal, when we violate one commandment we violate all. This includes the 4th Commandment. When we violate one commandment we in effect reject GOD. The 4th Commandment identifies GOD as the creator, it identifies HIS authority and the creation He created. So, I submit for prayerful consideration that GOD HIMSELF has made it clear this is a salvation issue when HE tells us "If you love ME keep MY Commandments" and "Those who will be saved will keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus". Remember, HE does not change? A third item with which I will press forward is a more deeply considered thought of the Sabbath. Did I mention GOD said "I am the same today tomorrow and forever, I change not". May I also mention the Catholic Church has taken full responsibility for the change of the observance of GODS Hallowed Sabbath. Their change was in Observance. They have claimed that since the Protestants didn't resist them that shows their authority over GODS words and is their Mark on their believers. For casual readers this IS the Mark of the Beast as it is mentally assented too and labor is not done on their traditional day of worship but is authorized on GODS hallowed 7th Day Sabbath. The day is fast coming when Rome will enforce through civil laws the punishment of 7th Day Sabbath keepers and those who work on their day of traditional rest, Sunday. Recall if you will that the Mark of the beast is in the forehead and hand. Mental assent, representing the cognitive mind and work represented by the hand. Jim first and foremost thank you for this teaching. In this teaching you mentioned that Yeshua rose on the Gregorian Day of Sunday, I personally believe He rose after sundown on the seventh day (Saturday evening and the end of the weekly Sabbath) or what the Jewish people considered the start of the first day of the week. As I am sure you are aware their day actually started at sundown. By using scripture Yeshua died around 3pm and I believe that day was actually a Wednesday (Passover). At sundown a new day would start which would be the first NIGHT that Yeshua was in His tomb. I also believe this was a High Sabbath (Feast of Unleavened Bread). With that being said Wednesday night would be 1st night, Thursday night would be the 2nd night and Friday night would be the 3rd night. As for the three days they would be: Thursday day would be the 1st day, Friday day would be the 2nd day and Saturday day would be the 3rd day. This would satisfy Yeshua's 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb and would give a reason why Mary and the apostles were unable to return to the tomb due to two Sabbaths (High Sabbath and weekly Sabbath) happening in the same timeframe. Mary waited until day break on the first day of the week to return to the tomb although in my opinion Yeshua had risen (The First Fruits) at or around sundown 12 hours earlier (Saturday evening). I don't believe Yeshua lied when He said that he would be in His tomb for 3 days and 3 nights just as Jonah was in the belly of a big fish. For most so called Christians claiming that Yeshua rose on Sunday I ask that they provide scripture that validates that. Yeshua also told us in John 11:9 that there are 12 hours in the day. People have tried to wiggle the 3 days and 3 nights around for years, but I believe Yeshua literally meant 3 days and 3 nights. They had to get Him into His tomb before sundown on Wednesday due to a High Sabbath. From there the clock starts ticking.
I used to also believe that, until I understood the Greek and Matthew 16:9. In that verse, it says that Christ rose early on the first day of the week. It would be very tempting to say that the days begin at sundown and so he rose from the dead Saturday night. That would fit the narrative of the Messianic movement of having such a strong focus on the sabbath. The problem is the Greek word that’s used for the word “early“ is “proi” which literally is the word for the fourth watch of the night, which is between 3 and 6 AM. So, in the academic world there is really no debate on the fact that he was early Sunday morning right before the sun came up.

I assume He wasn’t talking about His earthly body, but rather His soul left His physical body at his death on the cross at 3 in the afternoon and went to Sheol immediately. So by doing the math it would seem logical that it would not matter about sundown to sundown, but rather a 36 hour time period, which actually would still be a total of 3 days and 3 nights.

Here is a fellow who served time in jail for breaking the 7th Commandment and you're taking his word about the Sabbath? Are you a Sabbath Keeper or Sabbath Breaker? The Torah, and the Torah only, defines what it means to keep or break the Sabbath. Here's what it teaches. My friend, I am a TRUE Christian in the sense of the word. The word simply means in the original Greek and Latin “little Christ” or imitator of Christ. And that is what I intend to do. This is why the early disciples were called Christians. It was originally a derogatory term given to them because they were trying to imitate Christ. I am so glad I watched your video on the Sabbath. I have struggled with this since I became a Christian. I went to Liberty University for six years, earned my Masters in ministry and church leadership and this question was never answered. I never accepted the Sunday worship because of Genesis. God sanctified Saturday, made the day holy way before there ever was Judaism. I did learn that Emperor Constantine changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday and this bothered me too! It has always bothered me and I had this gut feeling that I was wrong about Sunday worship. The point you brought up really struck me is the fact that there was no New Testament during those times. I have a church, it is closed currently because of we lost our boiler and it was too expensive to fix. I plan on opening again when it warms up and should have the furnace problem rectified by next winter. I will open the church for Sabbath day worship for sure. I am convinced now, because of Genesis alone and the points you brought up about Paul writing about the special days concerning fasting, not Sabbath day worship. Another thought is the ten commandments, why would God put in to honor the Sabbath and keep it holy? We can read all the other nine commandments but for some reason ignore the Sabbath commandment. Should Christians celebrate Christmas, sunday is not the worship day nor Christmas is the festival of God, then what about circumcision, if circumcision is God's covenant then why baptism, where did baptism come from it not found in the listed commandments nor any of the 613 commandments. Jesus kept sabbath and was circumcised then why shouldn't Christians be circumcised, circumcision is God's covenant and God is not man to change his covenant, God's covenant is everlasting means cannot be changed, if it is then that makes no sense.

I never knew as a christian about sabbath. I did not know about a lot of things! I was raised in a catholic home. As soon as I got out on my own I no longer was a part of catholic faith. I knew as a child it was not in the teachings of the bible. I still didnt know. In meeting someone that I worked for. Was changing to jewish faith. When I asked some questions about sabbath, I was told it was just for the jews. Just recently I read in the bible that all of us need to honor the sabbath. I no longer eat pork . By choice. The not eating of pork was only for the Israelites who were in the desert for 40 years. They had very strict different laws from God because He rescued them and they are His chosen people. You. Dont eat pork in vain because I can assure you that I had a demon attacking me for almost 20 years when I was disobeying God and Father Jehovah Himself spoke to me from Heaven and told me 2 things! He said, "You must humble yourself" Then He spoke to me again and said, If you obey no harm will come to you" I have seen harm when I disobeyed and if I do anything I'm not supposed to the devil will pay me a visit! And Father has spoken to me quite a few times in the past to let me know what I'm supposed to be doing. You go ahead and not eat pork, but not me! There's not much to enjoy anymore in these end days when you are a born again Christian with no husband and no family or friends.
I actually do follow the land law also. I didn’t put my goats on pasture this year. I feed hay all year and stored grain. It's more costly, but I trust It will be made up for. I also didn’t eat from my fruit trees this year either.

Thanks for this brother! I recently changed my schedule and will be starting to observe the Sabbath Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset. I will still, however, go to church on Sundays and worship with my congregation, as we can worship on any other day of the week that we appoint as important and the Lord accepts this (Romans 14).

I am a member of Living Church of God and we celebrate Saturday Sabbath,we do not celebrate pagan holidays,only Holy Days etc. Thank God for the truth !!!!

Shalom! I came to this conclusion as well. As we grow close to Abba Yah we naturally desire to keep all his commandments.
They were. Sins can be forgiven in a moment but repentance is a way of life.
One problem is that in Acts 15 and in Acts 21, (when Paul is in Jerusalem) is like 10 years apart according to Biblehub timeline. There James uses the exact same letter that was written 10 years earlier in Acts 15, with the same four things. So this cant be true that the four things is like a starter pack/route.

@@cmmn_crdnl I think the Gentiles already was taught by Paul and his people - The Gospel and living worthy of the Gospel. That is they were taught the Law of Christ and moral things in and around that, plus doctrines about things like Baptism, Communion etc we see in the Letters and so on. So they had information before hearing these 4 things in Acts 15, and Paul was always hard on fornication in his letters. So it is not like they only kept these 4 things plus believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. There are more to it, but not the Law as in Circumcision, diet, feasts, clothing etc, things that where given to the children of Israel for a time.
I think Peter understood what Paul did, that there was a progressive revelation that certain laws were for a time, and that's why we see Peter in Gal 2 be like he is. He was free with the Gentiles. He got more free after the vision in Acts 10. His boat was rocked, and started to understand the freedom in Christ. So it was progressive. But for Paul, he was taught straightly from Jesus according to himself. So he saw this more clear.

@@myspoonky ,...I am saying that this was not great teaching, it is false teaching. This guy does not understand the Bible nor the sabbath. There is no weekly sabbath, and anyone keeping a weekly sabbath is Gods enemy and is outside the kingdom of God.
A weekly sabbath was the old testament that has passed away, and it was for the jews. The new testament/covenant sabbath is the entire new testament age, from when Jesus went back to heaven, until his return on judgement day when he is going to cast all weekly sabbath keepers into the lake of fire for working on the sabbath (the new testament age).
The few actual Christians that exist are resting in Jesus, the sabbath. They are not working for their salvation as are all weekly sabbath keepers. All sabbath keepers are putting the new wine of the new covenant into the old bottles of the old covenant that has passed away. When Jesus returns they are going to find that they have nothing but broken empty bottles.

Yeshuah kept all the commandments and that means also the sabbath day. I rest in Yeshuah and that means I give all my burdens to him but I don’t disobey him by polluting the 7th day and work. I was once there but The Holy Spirit showed me in scriptures that sabbath was made since creation and it was for men so is not only for Jews as you mention.
Keeping or not keeping the sabbath is not an issue of salvation at all , yet is it an issue of whether you love GOD and keep his commandments or be rebellious and make any day a sabbath and think is ok.

In Luke Ch. 16 you are shown that there is a barrier (a gulf) in between the spiritually alive and the spiritually dead. In (St. John 20:19,26) notice that the Lord did not come back to meet with His Disciples on the Sabbath, He allowed the Sabbath to passed and then came back to meet with them on the eight day (St. John 20:26) this is why the Apostles take the Lord Supper (Acts 20:7) this is why the Apostle Paul commanded that collections should be taken up on the First Day of the week (1 Cor.161-2) if every one was keeping the Sabbath why would Paul commanded that collections must be taken up on the First Day of the week instead of the Sabbath?

Good informative teaching . Would lightly disagree with you on 1 point , that is breaking of bread on first day of week point . You went to some lengths to explain that but the much simpler and more accurate reason for breaking of bread on first day of week is “ breaking of bread “in Jewish terms means having a meal so what was happening on first day of week was a group of believers were having a meal together and were fellowshipping and praying together which can happen any day of week . This was not the Passover meal nor was it a weekly sabbath service just a meal “ breaking of bread “ context .

I am a long time Sabbath Keeper. From age 12, I'm 71 now, I have asked about why people did not keep GODS Sabbath and instead kept one HE did not Command. At age 12 I had a personal crisis with my family and wanted to live anywhere else but with them and I was praying for a way out. My prayers also included understanding of the Sabbath and the working of the gifts. I wanted a personal experience with GOD. I have been justified in my faith with Jesus (meaning I was made right) and am in the process of sanctification, (learning my way to prepare for HIS Heavenly Kingdom).
I thought it might be of interest to you and your listeners and readers to have a few points to anchor your belief in our Savior/Redeemers teachings. First, I will remind us all, GOD says in HIS words "I am the same today, tomorrow and forever, I change not.".Hold fast to this statement by GOD.
When we as the children of GOD do not love/Agapi GOD while knowing HIS law, intentionally, knowingly and willfully violate HIS commandments we commit sin. Once we know GOD and HIS instructions and we willfully sin there is no more sacrifice for our sins. Jesus died once for all. There is no more sacrifice. The temple curtain was rent/torn signifying the end to ordinances. Now, under the new covenant we have an advocate with the Father. We must come to understand our need, we must recognize our sin and confess that sin with a contrite spirit and a broken heart. It is written in HIS words that Jesus is just and will forgive us our sins. No more sacrifice but there is forgiveness.
The second item I'd strongly recommend your readers and listeners to consider prayerfully is the GOD stated principal, when we violate one commandment we violate all. This includes the 4th Commandment. When we violate one commandment we in effect reject GOD. The 4th Commandment identifies GOD as the creator, it identifies HIS authority and the creation He created. So, I submit for prayerful consideration that GOD HIMSELF has made it clear this is a salvation issue when HE tells us "If you love ME keep MY Commandments" and "Those who will be saved will keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus". Remember, HE does not change?
A third item with which I will press forward is a more deeply considered thought of the Sabbath. Did I mention GOD said "I am the same today tomorrow and forever, I change not". May I also mention the Catholic Church has taken full responsibility for the change of the observance of GODS Hallowed Sabbath. Their change was in Observance. They have claimed that since the Protestants didn't resist them that shows their authority over GODS words and is their Mark on their believers. For casual readers this IS the Mark of the Beast as it is mentally assented too and labor is not done on their traditional day of worship but is authorized on GODS hallowed 7th Day Sabbath. The day is fast coming when Rome will enforce through civil laws the punishment of 7th Day Sabbath keepers and those who work on their day of traditional rest, Sunday. Recall if you will that the Mark of the beast is in the forehead and hand. Mental assent, representing the cognitive mind and work represented by the hand.
GOD listed HIS commandments in two places in the old testament. These two witnesses will stand for and against us in the Judgement. 1. Exodus 20 and 2. Deuteronomy 5.
I have identified the Sabbath as GODS Mark on HIS Children/believers and Sunday as Romes mark. Please see Exodus 31:13. Please also read verse 16. Note (the) Sabbath is a perpetual covenant thru out the generations of Israel. That will include "spiritual Israel. "I change not".

We do not live in their culture time or circumstances. Their civil laws would not work for us anymore than they did for the Jews in their day.
We have civil laws and we have GODs Royal Laws in the 10. As long as the civil laws do not conflict with GODS Laws we are to obey both civil and Gods.

Jim first and foremost thank you for this teaching. In this teaching you mentioned that Yeshua rose on the Gregorian Day of Sunday, I personally believe He rose after sundown on the seventh day (Saturday evening and the end of the weekly Sabbath) or what the Jewish people considered the start of the first day of the week. As I am sure you are aware their day actually started at sundown. By using scripture Yeshua died around 3pm and I believe that day was actually a Wednesday (Passover). At sundown a new day would start which would be the first NIGHT that Yeshua was in His tomb. I also believe this was a High Sabbath (Feast of Unleavened Bread). With that being said Wednesday night would be 1st night, Thursday night would be the 2nd night and Friday night would be the 3rd night. As for the three days they would be: Thursday day would be the 1st day, Friday day would be the 2nd day and Saturday day would be the 3rd day. This would satisfy Yeshua's 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb and would give a reason why Mary and the apostles were unable to return to the tomb due to two Sabbaths (High Sabbath and weekly Sabbath) happening in the same timeframe. Mary waited until day break on the first day of the week to return to the tomb although in my opinion Yeshua had risen (The First Fruits) at or around sundown 12 hours earlier (Saturday evening). I don't believe Yeshua lied when He said that he would be in His tomb for 3 days and 3 nights just as Jonah was in the belly of a big fish. For most so called Christians claiming that Yeshua rose on Sunday I ask that they provide scripture that validates that. Yeshua also told us in John 11:9 that there are 12 hours in the day. People have tried to wiggle the 3 days and 3 nights around for years, but I believe Yeshua literally meant 3 days and 3 nights. They had to get Him into His tomb before sundown on Wednesday due to a High Sabbath. From there the clock starts ticking.
I used to also believe that, until I understood the Greek and Matthew 16:9. In that verse, it says that Christ rose early on the first day of the week. It would be very tempting to say that the days begin at sundown and so he rose from the dead Saturday night. That would fit the narrative of the Messianic movement of having such a strong focus on the sabbath. The problem is the Greek word that’s used for the word “early“ is “proi” which literally is the word for the fourth watch of the night, which is between 3 and 6 AM. So, in the academic world there is really no debate on the fact that he was early Sunday morning right before the sun came up.

Agreed on acts 15:20 jim, but a note on "things strangled and from blood". When an animal is strangled the blood isn't evacuated, thus it is not rendered clean for eating. The blood must be returned to the earth, as i am certain you know

People are contending that the Sabbath has nothing to do with God's actual character, its just a memorial but is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil an actual component of His character or is it a test of where one's loyalty lies?
