Keep in absolute mind that when she mentions 1917 being the year of the first Palestinian passport (05:37), what she means (but perhaps forgot to mention) is that it was the first _British_ Palestinian passport. Palestine at that time was just the name for the area, and so when the Brits got mandate for the area as part of the League of Nations, they named it.... British Mandate for Palestine. The official languages were English (new kid on the block thinking he's hot stuff), Hebrew (the.. frozen sperm-bank baby-son of Biblical Hebrew?), and Arabic (specifically Levantine Arabic).
The British also had currency while they were in control, which had the letters for Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel) on them, and the West Bank under the British Mandate was called by it's Jewish historical name: Judea and Samaria.

He had to flee Tunisia and move to France when the Arabs revolted and attacked the Jewish and French living there. They left behind a very prosperous Jewelry business as well as their home which the Arabs took over illegally. They never got a cent back from Tunisia since that time. So as you can see, there were far more Jewish refugees than Palestinian ones since 1948 but with one big difference: Jews worked hard and prospered wherever they went while Palestinians still claim their refugee status and ask for hand outs from world governments.

Because there was no such desire from the start. Arab leaders wanted to divide the land between 4 countries. Lebanon and Syria get the North, Jordan gets the center, Egypt gets the south. When they lost the war, Lebanon and Syria left with nothing basically, Jordan had West Bank, Egypt took Gaza. They were so humiliated by the defeat that the only thing they wanted was a revenge, so they just started to use those territories as bases for pressure on Israel. Jordan also expelled all the Jews living in West Bank, more than 100,000 if I'm not mistaken. They held Palestinians in deliberately bad conditions to influence the West, and boy, they succeeded in this. In 1964 in the first version of PLO charter it said that Palestine should be completely free and then united with Jordan. They changed it after 1967, probably because Jordan lost West Bank in the war and the agenda had to be changed.

I am impressed. Not because she is muslim or Iranian. But because she got so many things right at such a young age. I am 58 living in Western Europe - and people here who are at her age following the conflict have NO idea what the facts are, and they are way too lazy to find out. The young lady is mostly correct. A couple of things though. In 1947 The United Nations partitioned Palestine into 55% a State called Israel for the Jewish Peoples, and 45% of the land for the indigenous Palestinians, when the population split was actually about 80% Indigenous Palestinian, and 20% Jewish. Hardline Jewish Militias then said that was fantastic, and started forcing up to 750,000 Palestinians off land they’d occupied for generations. This is what they call the Nakba. If they forced 750,000 to move the population must have been over a million at that point. It started as, and was briefly, a Civil War, then all the surrounding Arab Nations sent their Armies to take control, and it became the First Arab-Israeli War, which - while Israel is regarded as winning, - it is notable that Jordan ignored the UN borders afterwards, and retained occupation of the area known now as the West Bank. So Israeli occupation is not the only occupation those in the West Bank have known. Then in 1967 another War broke out between Israel and its neighbours, the Six Day War. At the end of that War, Israel had pushed Syria from the Golon Heights, Egypt from the Sinai, and Jordan out of the West Bank, increasing its size by a factor of 4. Israel then occupied these lands until the 1993 Oslo Accords. 12 years after Oslo, in 2005, Israel withdrew its Settlers from Gaza. In 2006, Hamas was voted in to power in Gaza. Hamas’ major opposition was Fatah, (the Palestinian Authority), who were widely seen as corrupt and West Bank focussed, by the Gazan population. There were other Parties, so Hamas won power with 46% of the Vote giving them 65% of the Seats in Parliament. Both Parties in this conflict have been poorly treated, and both sides have extremists. This young lady is very correct, and I don’t know the solution either. But, somehow, 9 million Israelis have to learn to share the land with 6 million Palestinians. The hatred for one another has got to go. And, after Ukraine, and learning what a HIMARS can do, it makes the area too small for two separate Countries. Maybe multiple, viable, ethnic States within one Country?

In 79 A.D., the Jewish people living in the area were kicked out again by either fear of persecution or they were forced into the Christian faith to survive. We were scattered throughout the world, and dispersed even more because of the events of WWII. Long before the nation of Israel existed, the people had a longing to return to our ancestral homeland. This is what’s known as “The Jewish Diaspora.” So, once we had a place to call our own, one where we are safe to exist and govern, the people rejoiced. That day in 1948, there were celebrations, dancing in the streets. As it was, we were essentially finally free from thousands of years. Going to the name of Palestine, the land was originally called Canaan by the people, or Judea by the Romans and Greeks. When Emperor Hadrian came to power, he renamed the land to “Philistia.” The Phillistine people were an ancient peoples that were known to be the enemies to the Indigenous people of Canaan, (Israelites). Naturally, the Israelites feared the Phillistines. And Hadrian knew this. So when he named the land “Philistia” it was a sign of power to rule over the Israelites. It was a fear tactic, and a big middle finger to the people. As language goes, the name was evolved to the name of “Palestine.” Sorry this is a lot. I believe the state of Israel has the inherent right to exist. And I also believe the innocent people of Gaza need to be freed from their government. Realistically, I don’t believe there can be a two state solution. It has been attempted for decades after “the war of independence.” But the surrounding countries of the region cannot stand the idea of a “Jewish State.” So, at the end of the day, it boils down to people still having a problem for the Jewish people. There are people all around the world that care about Israeli. The only concern is the settlements in Cisjordan, as Palestinians need a place to live too. In Europe, and in the West in general, we consider that Israel should be given back to Jews, and the Arabs that colonized Israel should return to Arabic countries, like Jews returned to Israel. Africa and Asia are so huge, that they don’t need to sit on the head of small Israel. Yes, I noticed. I saw some youtube videos where both Palestinians and Israelis were asked questions (sent by viewers). These videos are even a few years old. Palestinians, young or older, made clear that THIS IS OUR LAND AND THEY STOLE IT FROM US, ISRAEL NEEDS TO GO. What would happen to the Israelis? Well, the answers were different here - some would send them back to the USA and Europe, because they believe they are from there. Some would be willing to live with them, but in a country called Palestine ruled by Palestinians according to their rules. One can imagine. They say, they used to live in peace during the Ottoman empire like this but they forget to mention what was the position of the Jewish communities there. To be fair, Israeli settlers in the West Bank do not see themselves leaving if it is the Palestinian state in the future and some were ready to fight. Well, that is the result of all those wars and pain.

Very good video! One correction though - saying that the first time someone held a palestinian passport was in 1917 is completely missleading, because that refers to the passport issueed by the british mandate, not a passport indicating a Palestinian state. Even the Palestinians themselves didn't began referring to themselves as "Palestinians" until the 1960s. Up until the 60s they referred to themselves as trans-egyptians, trans jordanians, etc. (the countries they immigrated from.)
Another way to put it is that between 1917 and 1948 both Jews and Arabs had a Palestinian passport. The conflict is originally Jewish Arab (mostly Muslim arabs) conflict, but in 1964 the Arabs starting calling themselves Palestinians (which never existing before as a country).

Keep in absolute mind that when she mentions 1917 being the year of the first Palestinian passport (05:37), what she means (but perhaps forgot to mention) is that it was the first _British_ Palestinian passport. Palestine at that time was just the name for the area, and so when the Brits got mandate for the area as part of the League of Nations, they named it.... British Mandate for Palestine. The official languages were English (new kid on the block thinking he's hot stuff), Hebrew (the.. frozen sperm-bank baby-son of Biblical Hebrew?), and Arabic (specifically Levantine Arabic).
The British also had currency while they were in control, which had the letters for Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel) on them, and the West Bank under the British Mandate was called by it's Jewish historical name: Judea and Samaria.

Because there was no such desire from the start. Arab leaders wanted to divide the land between 4 countries. Lebanon and Syria get the North, Jordan gets the center, Egypt gets the south. When they lost the war, Lebanon and Syria left with nothing basically, Jordan had West Bank, Egypt took Gaza. They were so humiliated by the defeat that the only thing they wanted was a revenge, so they just started to use those territories as bases for pressure on Israel. Jordan also expelled all the Jews living in West Bank, more than 100,000 if I'm not mistaken. They held Palestinians in deliberately bad conditions to influence the West, and boy, they succeeded in this. In 1964 in the first version of PLO charter it said that Palestine should be completely free and then united with Jordan. They changed it after 1967, probably because Jordan lost West Bank in the war and the agenda had to be changed.

The young lady is mostly correct. A couple of things though. In 1947 The United Nations partitioned Palestine into 55% a State called Israel for the Jewish Peoples, and 45% of the land for the indigenous Palestinians, when the population split was actually about 80% Indigenous Palestinian, and 20% Jewish. Hardline Jewish Militias then said that was fantastic, and started forcing up to 750,000 Palestinians off land they’d occupied for generations. This is what they call the Nakba. If they forced 750,000 to move the population must have been over a million at that point. It started as, and was briefly, a Civil War, then all the surrounding Arab Nations sent their Armies to take control, and it became the First Arab-Israeli War, which - while Israel is regarded as winning, - it is notable that Jordan ignored the UN borders afterwards, and retained occupation of the area known now as the West Bank. So Israeli occupation is not the only occupation those in the West Bank have known.
Then in 1967 another War broke out between Israel and its neighbours, the Six Day War. At the end of that War, Israel had pushed Syria from the Golon Heights, Egypt from the Sinai, and Jordan out of the West Bank, increasing its size by a factor of 4. Israel then occupied these lands until the 1993 Oslo Accords.
12 years after Oslo, in 2005, Israel withdrew its Settlers from Gaza. In 2006, Hamas was voted in to power in Gaza. Hamas’ major opposition was Fatah, (the Palestinian Authority), who were widely seen as corrupt and West Bank focussed, by the Gazan population. There were other Parties, so Hamas won power with 46% of the Vote giving them 65% of the Seats in Parliament.
Both Parties in this conflict have been poorly treated, and both sides have extremists. This young lady is very correct, and I don’t know the solution either.
But, somehow, 9 million Israelis have to learn to share the land with 6 million Palestinians. The hatred for one another has got to go. And, after Ukraine, and learning what a HIMARS can do, it makes the area too small for two separate Countries. Maybe multiple, viable, ethnic States within one Country?

It was a fear tactic, and a big middle finger to the people. As language goes, the name was evolved to the name of “Palestine.”
Sorry this is a lot. I believe the state of Israel has the inherent right to exist. And I also believe the innocent people of Gaza need to be freed from their government.
Realistically, I don’t believe there can be a two state solution. It has been attempted for decades after “the war of independence.” But the surrounding countries of the region cannot stand the idea of a “Jewish State.” So, at the end of the day, it boils down to people still having a problem for the Jewish people.

There are people all around the world that care about Israeli. The only concern is the settlements in Cisjordan, as Palestinians need a place to live too. Yes, I noticed. I saw some youtube videos where both Palestinians and Israelis were asked questions (sent by viewers). These videos are even a few years old. Palestinians, young or older, made clear that THIS IS OUR LAND AND THEY STOLE IT FROM US, ISRAEL NEEDS TO GO. What would happen to the Israelis? Well, the answers were different here - some would send them back to the USA and Europe, because they believe they are from there. Some would be willing to live with them, but in a country called Palestine ruled by Palestinians according to their rules. One can imagine. They say, they used to live in peace during the Ottoman empire like this but they forget to mention what was the position of the Jewish communities there. To be fair, Israeli settlers in the West Bank do not see themselves leaving if it is the Palestinian state in the future and some were ready to fight. One correction though - saying that the first time someone held a palestinian passport was in 1917 is completely missleading, because that refers to the passport issueed by the british mandate, not a passport indicating a Palestinian state. Even the Palestinians themselves didn't began referring to themselves as "Palestinians" until the 1960s. Up until the 60s they referred to themselves as trans-egyptians, trans jordanians, etc. (the countries they immigrated from.)

If she were actually a critical thinker, she would question why it is that anyone in Palestine is expected to give up land when Europeans own more than 50% of the planet's green land despite making up only 13% of the population.
