Totally invested in these ponds and vids. Maybe have another camera set up to capture you from a distance to go along with the planting. It kind of got repetitive but if we could see more of the area when planting it woulda been cool. Thanks for the vids
Looks like the soil is soft and he doesn't have to go very deep, it's probably actually easier for him to use his hand. Now, the soil in my garden is so rocky that I gave up on trowels and bought myself a miniature mattock to plant with, so he's lucky.
@@cheesejam1373 the typical pond or creek turtle can at least for a few days if it needs to search for a new home. Happens a good bit in the texas country side. If more so that we are getting our spring showers.
While the pond has that awesome tropical blue colour I think some underwater shots of the Minnows would be awesome, like throw some food in like bread and they’ll swarm it.

Be neat if you planted some elephant ears and bananas. They grow fast, love water and make for very fast shade. Maybe some willow too. If I can grow bananas in Tennessee I know you can there.

@@bryancurdi451 a pond has to be considered an oversized fish tank. Both require an adequate filtration system, can be aquascaped, and can nurture and maintain a population of fish. So technically it's a fish tank 😎

While you're buying plants you should buy some native to your area seed bombs. Throw them around the outside of the ponds. I'd be lovely walking through native flowers to get to the pond.

Those are highly invasive, though. They are able to spread real quick and cover entire lakes hurting the environment, it takes too much of the dissolved oxygen and blocks photosynthesis for other species.
Hey man next time you plant plants, take a shovel and scoop one shovel full of soil, break up the soil and then plant your plants. They’ll grow faster and have a better root system. It’s hard for roots to grow through soil that’s already compacted. They still grow but some probably won’t. From a farmers perspective, that’s why we plow.

Throw a handful of black soil on each of them, even in the water. It can make a huge difference to get their root base going faster and stronger.
