I remove the panel, two bolts on the glass. Painters tape to hold glass up. 10 more 10mm and the panel comes right out. So a couple of minutes of work to inspect your work. If you twist wrong and attach the motor and hit the button you might crunch the cables

Man, you really under sell what a pain in the ass that last flip is. But thanks to this video after 10 min of fiddling I finally got it.

I have to replace two and two motors. Might have to try this method before I just buy the whole panel lol

@@julio.ca.m8736 you're welcome
does that piece have left of right side? or is universal?
They have left and right, check my link above. You can get new cables with updated spool
Bro the wiring is too loose in mine. I already have a new sprocket but the wire won’t tighten
Sounds like the sprocket is aftermarket, I have kits that are desgined for the sprocket/spools. Ebay link should be above.
Awesome. Will this be the same process for a 2020 Kia Soul? And how do you start the winding if the whole cable is out of the wheel?
Hello, not sure if it fails the same. Panel looks different from what I remember. Probably the same process, can be very hard to do.
im on hour 3 of struggling to get this in.. how do you keep it from unspooling when you twist it in?
Also, FYI, I got the OEM part. 82473 D3000FFF

@Redtrened123 they use a tool from the factory
Mine came unspooled without being able to mark it😢
Top cable goes to nipple side of spool.
Man I’ve been wrestling this forever I think I’m gonna tap. No matter, which way I spilled this thing. Once I go to my turn it’s too tight
@@johnsmind what replacement did you get. Just the spool, aftermarket or genuine?
@@Power-Window-Man I didn’t. It’s torched. Can’t spool it right. Mine isn’t in the center either it’s on the bottom.
I’m struggling
What part did you buy, the cheap ones online don't fit. You need new cables, genuine ones are tight as well
@@Power-Window-Man I appreciate it… it was tight and I finally got them in. I had the cables on the wrong ends
Awesome news, tip: paint pen next time. Helps me a lot, take care.
Mine is way to tight to flip
