I would pull it, you want to check to make sure the cables are not over lapping. Just buy some good painters tape. Get to the two 10 mm bolts that go to the glass. Pull it up, tape it. Then it's like 13x 10mm bolts
@@Power-Window-Man Thanks for your reply . I`ll do that . The window is up , right now , so I was just worried about the glass dropping down , when I take things apart . I`ll let you know how it works out . Thanks again for your help .
Behind the handle and the pull closed area are two number #2 Phillips. Then you push the window down. Remove the two 10mm glass bolts. Tape the window up, be careful you can have a special glass, so put a lot of painters tape. Then there is about 10-10mm bolts to pull panel. Check above, should have a link to my eBay. I sell just the kits now with the cables. I have a better design then the original
I tried for over an hour and gave up. I had to buy a whole new assembly for $150 or so. So annoying. I've just had the other 3 windows all fail in my 2016 kia optima in less than 3 months! I can't believe Kia isn't fixing this for cheaper.
@tinhapin2875 your fingers are probably tired. Some of these guys say they fit, but the diameter is wrong, making it impossible to do. I do a bunch of testing because they did it to me. Plus, they have some tools as well, not available, and this doesn't technically cause injury or death. So it's become a class action more than anything
@@Power-Window-Man I decided to order the whole assembly for these 3 other windows. The dealer wanted between $260 and $320 for each part and another $200-$300 for labor. Each. That's a total of about $2200 for all 4 doors/windows. Insane. I wonder how long these replacements will last before they have to be replaced again. All 4 of them failed between year 7 and 8, only 50k miles.
This was not even close to as easy as you made it look my friend 😂 but we got it done. Appreciate the vid.
You're welcome it can be pretty tuff at times. I'm glad you were able to get it done.
Thanks again Sir❤❤❤❤❤❤
@abdalqadr1 you're welcome. I hope all is well, take care
Thanks for the video . Im hoping to try this . Do you think its possible to do this without removing the regulator ?
