So exciting, when we stayed in Katong in December 2022 this MRT was being built. It also explains why the hotel we usually stay in in Katong is very pricey now. We have booked our tickets and accommodation for the end of August so this is absolutely wonderful, we will have great fun with this line. Thank you so much again.
I look at Singapore, constantly building useful train lines, and I look at our Non-Existant Airport line in Melbourne that keeps getting promised and weep a little inside XD A fun trip thanks guys!
Interesting video! Being a train nerd, and loving Singapore, I was never going to hate it. On our last visit (March 24) we found the other parts of the TEL useful. We went all the way to Woodlands North on it to visit Woodlands Waterfront Park, it was great for getting back to the city from the Tanglin Gate exit from the Botanic Gardens, and we also used Gardens by the Bay station at the end of a visit to the Barrage (I think that was the end of the line at that time). Good to see that the next bit has been opened.
How easy s it to get from Siglap to East Coast seafood centre or the food centre. I could find the route on Googlemaps but the images predated the TEL so had no idea of signage etc
It’s heaps better - I think all of the beaches are open again now. The Sentosa reef sharks have been spotted again so the water healthy must be better ❤️
Hi there, I'm the lady you met during this preview day. It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Thank you for all your videos and for chatting with me. 😃
Thanks Jonty and Millie, for bringing us along for this preview ride. It has been really eye-opening, the opportunities for so many different activities at each stop. Excited about the greater accessibility to the beach and park connectors along the route as well as to the Marine Parade town centre. That mural of The Big Splash water park in the Tanjong Katong station brings back memories of my teenage and 20s years. Nice touch to include that on the wall for older Singaporeans.
From marine parade mrt exit Parkway is one The former big splash is another East coast park you know best East coast road length from I12 katong to dunman hawker to joo chiat stretch to geylang serai more than enough coverage
Hello friend, I hope you guys are doing fine, I love watching your videos. 😊 Sorry for my late replies, work is pretty hectic & I came back from a 3 days birthday vacation in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on 22 July 2024, let’s stay in touch. 💜

Making travel so much easier. Few more stops and a new train line still to come.

Hey there, it's a relatively short walk along the coast line after the MRT station.
I know this was filmed a while ago but how is the oil cleanup, when we were In Singapore in July it was still affecting Sentosa badly
It’s heaps better - I think all of the beaches are open again now. The Sentosa reef sharks have been spotted again so the water healthy must be better ❤️
Getting to East Coast Park or Katong Laksa won't be such a difficult journey anymore!
