This. With the exception of India and to some extent Russia, these countries are very hard to get in with a tourist visa. Several of these countries have no tourist visas available, and it isn't limited to the US, but Europe and Canada as well. In fact, with a Cuban passport, Russia is one of the only visa-free countries while most of the other countries, including the European Union requires a visa. While Singapore remains the most powerful passport, even allowing tourists to go to Cuba, even that will still require a visa to North Korea, Venezuela, and several Middle East and African countries.

This video ignores salient facts regarding U.S. foreign policy and the havoc it has wreaked in some of these countries.Afghanistan was occupied by the United States for twenty years, until the U.S. government had had enough (like the Soviet Union before them).Yemen is in dire condition because of the brutal policies of the Saudi regime, attacking the Houthi rebels. The USA is a supporter of Saudi Arabia in its inhumane military operations in Yemen.Cuba has suffered under a sixty year economic blockade engineered by the U.S. government.I could go on,but suffice it to say, people in various countries across the world have good reason to have a low opinion of Americans and the United States government.People in the USA need to wake up and stop having such a narcissistic, xenophobic and ahistorical view of the world.WatchMojo, like so many other media operations, leaves out a lot of crucial facts and allows Americans to bask in our smug, unquestioning ignorance.

As an American (of Italian background), I'm puzzled by India. I go to India all the time as my wife is Indian and so her family is there. Have gone three times since married to my wife. I have never been treated so warmly and welcomed in any other place as I have India. And I am not talking about my family members. Just your typical Indian I meet on the streets, in shops, and restaurants. I love going there for the culture, weather, food, craziness, and the warm people. I can't get enough of the place.

I have been to Russia twice and I lived in Belarus for a year. I can speak Russian. Granted, the last time I was in Russia was 15 years ago. When I lived in Belarus, I did feel nervous because it was from 1998 to 1999 and NATO bombed Yugoslavia in 1999. A Belarusian asshole threatened me, but I wasn't worried because I had been there for a almost a year and I had friends in the police academy. These guys were huge Belarusian farm boys who couldn't speak English, but liked their American friend who could speak Russian. When I told them that I had been threatened, the biggest guy, who was over six feet tall and massive, told me not to worry. If anyone wanted to hurt me, they would take care of it. Belarusians are loyal to family and friends over all.
In Russia, well, it makes a big difference is you can speak Russian. Russian people are very hospitable, but the Russian government is not so kind. The first time I went to Russia was in 1999. It was only for three days and it was a good experience. I went from Minsk to Moscow on the overnight train with my Belarussian girlfriend. We spent a day in Moscow, then went to St. Petersburg. There we hit a snare. We needed a place to stay and my girlfriend had lost the phone number of the hostel we had heard about. This was a problem, because I didn't have a Russian visa, so we couldn't stay in a hotel.
An old lady approached us in the train station and asked if we needed a place to stay. My girlfriend didn't trust her, but I said that we did need a place to say and she said that she had an apartment. We stayed in her spare apartment. It was like airbnb before airbnb existed. It was very cheap and we had an apartment to ourselves for one night.
The second time I went to Russia it was in 2008 to get a new Mongolian visa. It was a lot of fun. I stayed with a friend in Ulan Ude. We hung out in the city center, we went to Lake Baikal, we went out with her friends, I practiced my Russian. It was a good time.
All that said, I probably wouldn't go to Russia today, and I definitely wouldn't go back to Belarus today.

I find it funny how this video says that “asking for a written invite from a resident, bank records, a list of countries visited in the past 10 yrs etc” means that people are unwelcome….when this is the exact thing the US embassy asks for when you try to get a US tourist visa 🤣
My 60 year old mom (a housewife) has to go thru hoops to get a dang visa to spend her bday here in the US with us (my sister and I). We even supplied two written invitations (one from a lawful resident - me, one from a US citizen - my sister) and we had to provide payslips, yall 😂 We’re Asians & my sister & I both work in the medical field as scientists.
No hate to any embassy tho. If they require a lot of documents it’s just essentially an extended background check. Doesn’t mean that you are unwelcome …. i doubt US is being unwelcoming to my mom bec they have strict reqts!
