Several people killed in DRC protests against rebel violence

The officials of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) said that at least seven people were killed in North Kivu province during Saturday protests against a wave of deadly violence blamed on the Allied Democratic Forces. The rebel group, which is affiliated with Islamic State, killed at least 122 people in separate attacks in the last two weeks, causing public frustration.
