Dr. Lori, Thank you for sharing the information about auctions and how by choosing that route as an option what percentage we are going to end up giving them and the reasons why. Very helpful reminder. I love that you are so sincere in your effort to educate everyone on ALL aspects of identifying, collecting, selling, buying and maintaining whatever it is we are hoping to aquire or have added to our treasure collections and we all know knowledge is power. You really help us learn to protect ourselves from those who may not have our best interest at heart. I appreciate all of the laughs and wisdom you share. Thank you. P/S I am not a Doctor but, I always get a little chuckle with each TH-cam notification because I am (was) a Lori V as well! 😊 (And obviously easily amused! Lol)
I saved all the Capodimonte pottery my grandmother had all over her home. It is now showcased in a glass cabinet, the flower petals are very sharp so I try not to touch it.
I've seen several very beautiful pieces recently. They were obviously someone's collection. Unfortunately, they were packed very carelessly & several were damaged. It was just an incredible to see these pieces of floral art. Glad to hear you appreciate your grandmother's collection.
Hi dr lori, i have two capodimonte lamps i want to list and im so glad i found you. If you are able to do a video chat with me about them that would be awesome!
I help a lot of resellers make money! Just schedule a chat on my website. If you can't find the calendar, hit the contact Dr. Lori button so we can help.
I have a vase I purchased in Naples in 1975. The Capodimonte mark is not showing up on any chart. If I send you a photo could you help ? It's a 16" high vase , 6" wide. Has a Capodimonte paper tag..
Of course they have value, but you want the best condition. If you see something damaged, leave it at the sale. Spend your money on something of high quality and good condition.
Thank me and help others by sharing links to videos with your friends and social media groups. I need more views and subscribers to justify my time and staff's time to make more videos for you all. So, if you'd like a new video everyday, everyone reading this needs to share links to my videos everywhere! And subscribe too.
I played the beginning three times, trying to figure out WHY you would say " . . . that looks like capodimonte, but isn't." Finally put on captioning which, although it has "pizza monte" instead of capodimonte, I think I now understand that you were saying " . . . or is it?" Is it? And my question: Are all capodimonte pieces, in particular the super intricate floral arrangement ones ----- marked on the bottom "Italy" and w/ numbers? Thank you. Enjoyed this video very much.
Ok, Nikki, if you only have the one piece, I offer a 10 minute session. You can check out the fee and pick a time in my calendar that works for you. See my calendar on my website. Looking forward to helping and meeting you.
I have at least 10 Capodimonte pieces left from my grandmother do you do appraisals if someone sends you pictures of the item? Is there a way you could tell what the worth is just by pictures?
I know this is an old video but my mom was trying to convince me we had capodimonte she aquired in the 80s and everything is from Taiwan and China but they have crowns with a M stamp...but stupid gold "made in Taiwan" sticker. Worth anything based on style and vintage?
Many factors affect value. I can appraise your pieces. Need to see them. Send me photos or schedule a video call to show the pieces to me. See how on my website.
Does anyone know about Bassanno Figurine lamps? I have two large lamps one with an organ grinder with monkey and the other a hobo with dog. I bought it in a store downtown NYC in 1979.
I just bought 2 small fruit baskets by capodimonte in Naples. Should I ask for the same amount as Ebay's other sel li ers, which is 25 dollars, or ask for more, because I'm unsure how to price it correctly?
No, your piece might not be the same and the other listing could be wrong. I help resellers make money by telling them what their pieces are really worth once you send photos or show me during a video call. Don't use eBay as a price guide. What the video th-cam.com/video/EJDKFU2m_hw/w-d-xo.html to see why!
I help people resell pieces for more money all the time. People use my online appraisal reports to help them sell their items. One person use my report to sell a plate for over $1,000. They bought the plate at a yard sale for $1.

I know, spell check keeps changing the spelling.
It’s correct to call Napoleon Style for the pottery or things with the Capodimonte Style?
