One of the things I love most is that your descriptions give me terminology to think about the pieces I have owned for fifty years.
I love watching your videos. They are always informative and entertaining. My mom did domestic work. People she worked for gave her depression dishes. They were located throughout the house. She offered me some pieces. I took some. My husband was in the military. When we moved they came up missing. If I had known by then what I learned from you. Those pieces would have gone with my personal stuff. Thanks again. Keep pushing those videos. I will be watching. Take care
I sincerely love your channel. The fact that you so freely share your knowledge is wonderful. Big hugs from Chicago.
I enjoy watching this show because it takes me away from all the bad news going on.
Stay here with me... I bring the GOOD NEWS.
Yes! It's therapy for me!❤🙏🏼

Thank you 💙
You are a gifted teacher!!! It is a joy to listen to your sharing. Thank you!!! ❤
Dr. Lori is amazing. Thank you so much for your vast knowledge. I always enjoy every single presentation you have.
love that lipstick coral, and I still use Pyrex for all my baking! Great to see the Pyrex dinnerware but who would have thought the everyday would be so collectable, great episode!
I appreciate you wearing gloves to protect all of the pieces you touch. I've learned to do that because of you. Thanks for sharing another great video!
Good tip. Tu!
I always thought she wore gloves because when you thrift, you never know where the item has been, and items tend to be dusty/dirty. Also, you don't always have direct access to each your hands after. At least, that's why I wear gloves when I thrift.😊
Me too !!
Remember in the 90s when shows like this were the norm?? Now its just reality tv!!! Thanks for giving me a nostalgia hit!
😊 You are awesome, awesome, awesome Dr. Lori !!
I really thought I knew a lot about antiques, but since I discover you, I came to the conclusion I know nothing !!!
😅😅😅
Fascinating education and I so respect you for your vast knowledge and expertise. These videos are phenomenal.
Thanks for watching!
Wehn she said "That's never gonna look good" talking about that lamp I lost it 😂 rarely do we see her just straight up dislike something but she REALLY did not like that lamp, that was hilarious 😅
I always tell it like it is. I really didn't like it.
It’s like taking a class with you!
I offer classes too! See my website for a list.
Learn something new every time I watch your videos. Great video
Your videos are so informative to me,I love glass objects and everything made of glass, all colors, sizes and shapes!! I've been collecting them for bout 15-20 years now,I'm hooked!! Your knowledge is very on spot and I try to remember what you've said about the piece when I go shopping, thank u for your channel and your expertise!!!
Glad you like them!
Those pieces are magnificent and you’re information is priceless ❤❤
I’m privileged and thankful that you share your knowledge. thank you Dr. Lori
I love the information you give on the items.
Nice for collectors though not much room for profit for resellers at those prices but the best part is the knowledge gained . I`ve seen some items like these at yard sales for 5 or 10 bucks .Thanks for sharing !
Your knowledge is awesome
Thank you! I love sharing what I know.
I am so glad this shop is not in CT because I would be broke in a minute. Dr Lori apprised some of my jewelry a few months ago and I would love to go shopping with her
I just found YOU yesterday on TH-cam!
YOU are simply amazing with your knowledge, presentation, and humor! Thank you.
Dr. Lori I just found you and I’m so glad I did. I’m just getting into vintage and antique reselling- more jewelry- but it’s good to know about other items when I go shopping. Maybe I’ll expand.
Welcome! Have you watched my videos on jewelry? New ones on jewelry coming soon too.
Dr Lori,
Do those Pyrex dishes go in the Oven too! Please advise.
They are Fabulous! I adore Pyrex.
Thanks for ALL your work. 💜💜💜
Dear Lori, I just wanted to tell you how much I admire you. Thank you for giving me more info. I have been picking for years. It's good to know all these differant things. God bless❤❤❤

I frequently protect the items I look at at the thrift store by purchasing them! So much gets damaged on those cold, mean shelves!😆
Beautiful pieces. Thank you very much for the info you provide. I love learning about all the different glass in the world.

I have the poodle powder jar! Got it at a garage sale for like $20, I got it because it’s super cool!
Thanks so much for the info on milk glass. So very helpful.
I would use that pink candie dish as a martini glass! 😊
Great idea!!
😅
The powder bowls are very sweet.
I love Pyrex
Dr. Lori, you are good as gold!👍Interesting as always! Thanks🌻
Excellent video very interesting as usual 👍
Thank you Dr. Lori
Great info, Dr. Lori!
Just found your channel! Great info! Shared with my friends
I have a basket like that. Just in pink.
Thanks Dr Lori!
Love that fire king
I have a pink glass, patterned casserole dish minus lid. Like it much better- saw a lid once. I went to Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio in the day. It is across the river from the former Fenton factory in Parkersburg, W Va.
I have 2 of those depression glass bowls that are iridescent. and a dish I think is a jelly dish. It is a long bowl. I use it for cranberry sauce. I love those bowls. I do not use them. I just displayed them in my vintage metal cabinet in the glass section. They are too precious to me to use. They belonged to my mother.I will cherish them forever.
Come to Angela's Attic in South Beloit, Illinois!
Thanks for the upload as always
Thanks. Love this stuff (from Ohio).
My dishwater when I was a child was roses on a HOMER LAUGHLIN. It didn’t make it to today. Missing in action after I grew up dad got rid of it.
Central handle - a term that never comes to mind when I need it to.
Thanks for sharing Dr. Lori ❤❤❤❤❤
Lol i have shopped there all the way from Alaska!
Awesome video
Dr.Lori, I thought you stopped making videos! This is the 1st one I was notified of out of the last 7!!! Just so you know... I enjoyed catching up though... now WHY do you wear those gloves?😂

🖐😊TY DOC👍✌
4:57 I have that pink pedestal candy dish on my vanity table & I keep blush in it. Didn’t know it was worth $60. Do you happen to know what decade it’s from? I feel like all your videos are giving me free education.
Thanks doc! 💙
I'd have to see your piece to verify what you have. I offer options on my website where you can upload photos for my review or you can show me pieces during a video call. I'm so glad you are learning from my videos! Share video links with others so they can enjoy the videos too! The shares also help me make more videos. Providing 'Super Thanks' for videos help too. The smallest amount is appreciated :)
I have a powder bowl with a duck it's bill is painted yellow.
❤❤❤❤❤
The sister city Marietta Ohio is up the river a few miles.
Interesting thing about the pink depression glass. I have a few pieces. I went into an antique store today with one of my cups (a set of 6) to see what they would buy them for, and the person told me that pink depression glass isn't selling. They would give me maybe $1.50 a cup and sell it for 3x their purchase price. Anything they buy, they add on 3x what they pay for it. I get that they have bills to pay, and this area isn't cheap. I'm lucky I'm still able to live here and I love it, so I can't really fault them. It's a business.
See, I can understand if I missed the boat on this type of glass if this video had a date of a year or two ago, but this is a month old. Pink depression glass should still be on people's minds.
So... yeah.
I might go back to buy a lot of their pink depression glass if they say it's not selling. If anything, I can add nice pieces to my personal collection for a great price.
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Some places sell items too low for whatever reason :)
@@DrLoriV which is why I love you. You're telling us the truth. I am very grateful to you for that. Thank you. :)
The Scottie and the poodle dishes are they also want people call carnival glass?
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Check my website for the next date.
❤️❤️❤️
Find your videos very informative and
FUN! I hope you find them fun. I have fun making them for you all. Don't forget to share them.
I need Dr Lori to hire an apprentice (me) lol
stumbled across this video and must say it was very enjoyable. However, it brings back the question I've asked myself for over 20 years " How do I determine the value of a piece that has no hallmark?".Specifically, a ceramic(?) type coffee pot (plain white with a ribbed design)brought over from Germany in the late 1800s. I'd be most appreciative for any suggestions.
Happy to hear that you enjoyed the video. I can help identify and value your coffee pot. You may send photos for my review using a form on my website.
@@DrLoriV Thank you for your response. I will look into that this weekend.
Hi. I have a big collection of Hall “Jewel Tea” Autumn leaves dishes from my Grandma. Do you cover that in any of your videos? Thank you
I can look at your pieces. Visit my website to see how to send photos or schedule a video call with me.
I did not know Pyrex made dinnerware that was interesting to learn and I absolutely loved the yellow dinnerware but it was kind of expensive. The set above with the flowers not so much. I did not like that patter an at all. It looked like the dishes you'd get for free in a big box of detergent.
Dr Lori, different subject I know, but what is that yellow pitcher behind the hobnail at 9:50 into the video. I was given something similar and it's gorgeous but I know nothing about it!! Any info please?
Great question for my next Ask Dr. Lori live or you could send a photo of yours to me via my website (DrLoriVdotcom). I review photos of objects from followers there all the time.
The only thing I don't understand does Fenton not have any markings? Saying Fenton. I enjoy your shopping.
Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video so I can answer in detail and teach everyone watching. Or, watch more of my videos where I talk about Fenton. Use the channel's search feature to find them :)
I believe they used stickers which sometimes still are attached
I love your videos but they are way too short. I do wish you could talk about all the items on the shelves/table because I see many items you skip over that it would be nice to know about. I learn so much and I love also seeing items that I have and learning about them even if I don't want to sell them. I sure wish I had your knowledge :)
Hi Dr Lori. I have a ton of pink depression glass with gold trim. are the valuable?
I can help. Many factors affect value so I need to see your specific pieces. Check out my website to see how you can show me pieces.
How about a platter in pink with cherries?
Can you please clarify your question?
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
👏❣
Don't pick up glass baskets by their handle very Easy to bteak.
Sure, true. I am supporting the bottom by its base, but yes it's good to be careful with fragile objects.
Do you ever find something during these shopping sprees you pick up for yourself?
I leave the treasures for you!
!!!!!!

Some great knowledge however prices she quotes, absolutely ridiculous! I have been going to shops for many many years & have RARELY seen things sell at the prices she quotes. I go to many so called Antique Malls, yes do see pieces priced that high, go back in 6 months and still there! It's only worth those prices if you can find someone to pay it & many Antique Malls in places I go have closed because the number of buyers who will pay those ridiculous appraisal prices is very limited. If I could sell or get those prices for what I have, I would be extremely wealthy!
My values are based on what people really pay. Actual sales. Believe what you want. I do offer classes on reselling if you need help. I have countless examples that I have shared on social media where my clients are getting my appraisal values :)
