  • Watch! Can you pick the most valuable ceramic dish, China plate, platter or bowl? Do you have antique ceramic dishes, plates and bowls that are #ThriftStoreFinds and you need to know their price?
Watch Ph.D. Antiques Appraiser Dr. Lori identify and value different pieces of #antique #ceramics such as Coalport, Noritake, Paper Porcelain China, RS Prussia, Royal Bayreuth, Bavaria, Semi Porcelain, and others. See how to value dishes without knowing the marks and how to research marks. Ask Dr. Lori to appraise your antique dishes, china set or thrift store find. Attend her antiques appraisal events near you or submit photos on Dr. Lori's website.

When you said, 'Sisters? The sisters took the rest of your china!!!', I laughed so loud and hard that my husband was just staring at me, and asked me, 'what would make antique dish videos so funny?'. But being the oldest of 5 girls, I knew exactly what you meant. We all know that being the oldest does nothing for you but the youngest is always "The Baby". It was the expression on your face and in your voice that cracked me up. I have probably had the same expression many times before.

I have a very large dinner set (serves 24, 3 different size plates, double most acessories, tripple some, plus cake platter, flower arrangement thing etc.) but no cups or saucers. It is ate 18th C or early 19th C bright white fully glazed hand painted with simple flowers (each unique but matching). Said to be imported by my family in St. Petersburg Rissia from France. May have been hand painted and glazed/reglazed in Russia. Gold around edges except where worn. Everything has a small floral in the bottom middle but nothing is just "for nice". We use it on occasions - continuously used. None of the now Dutch family (who escaped the revolution with their dinner set!) had room for it that's why they shipped it all to my dad here in Canada. I think it is over the top amazing to have. I can email photos if you are curious - perhaps you will know more about its type and be able to date it better.
Not for sale unless we're starving.

My mom uses those Noritake china plates as every day dishes right now😩 my dad got so much stuff passed down to them. They are getting rid of everything... I told her she needs to let me bring a Uhaul truck to her house so I can take all her stuff. I can’t believe how much money my parents have sitting in their house and they’re moving and getting rid of all of their antiques. They have thousands of books. First addition John Steinbeck and the like, perfect condition. Just sat side ways on book cases for years and years. When they took over my grandma and great grandmas house, they kept everything where it was. Time to start valuing it all. I keep screen shorting stuff to my mom and explaining to her that she has really good well kept things and she’s just like, “I don’t have time to look all of this stuff up. I just want it gone” 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
She gave me a 4 set collection of the 4 seasons of life lithographs 5 years ago and I was about to get rid of them until I saw you do a video where a guy had only one of them and it was cut. Mine are not cut, framed and no sign of discoloration. They have hundreds of pictures, paintings, ceramic plates, pottery, Native American assets. Ughhh I hope she doesn’t get rid of anything before I can make the 8 hour drive to pick it all up LOLOLOL
She mentioned doing a big yard sale. I said NO!!!!!!!!
A antiques dealer came to look at some old lanterns and a clock that they have and wanted to buy it so bad. I am soooo glad they didn’t sell it, I’m sure it’s worth something outrageous if they wanted it that bad.
