NICE JOB MAN!!!KICKS ASS!!!that bike is legendary...2 stroke performance at it's best...and you got rid of the old plastic tail...put a vid on with the bike's full bodykit..
I had a stan stevens tuned RG500 15yrs ago had dep sport pipes it had a great sound not quite as good as this puppy but when it hit 8300rpm you had to forget everything and focus only on one thing Power and at what point the front wheel would look for the sky or at what point the rear wheel would stop spinning and then the front wheel would look for the sky again 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th. I remember friends at the time who had gsxr750s and 1100 it would wipe the floor the sounds of a 500 thanks.
Things will NEVER be the same without 2 strokes, believe me guys. Im still enjoying my Aprilia RS 250 for 11 yrs now, bought her new, even drove her properly at the race tracks, never had any problems if u treat her right. They took us 500cc class from motoGP, now they took 250cc class, really sad !!!
Well, really they do like back pressure... but timed backpressure from a tuned pipe. When the pipes are resonating, they create a back pressure wave that forces unburned fuel/air mixture in the exhaust cycle back into the cylinder under moderate pressure, which functions as a form of supercharging to increase the amount of fuel/air in the cylinder. The pipes can be designed for maximum peak horsepower at the expense of powerband width, or for a wider powerband but less peak power.
Man that would a sweeet bike but it looks like a pain in the butt to do a top end on. My dirt bike is a snap but those bullet bikes have so much crap in the way all packed in close.
THeeeeee 1 only bad thing zing zing zing zing awesome Yeah but if you look in the tank that 4 zings cost ya 400ml fuel... Have only ride a Kdx 200 and a dt 200 and a 4 stroke is nothing compared to a 2 stroke that power band is death defying love it!!!
Drool, drip, pant, fondle, ENVY. RG500's are really tough to find these days, unless you have unlimited cash. I manage with my RZ350R for now but I have to have a Gamma sometime before I leave this world. I've been saving the 1985 review from one of our mags just so I can read it from time to time - and oddly I just found out where the bike in the review is, about 10 minutes from me and for sale for a lot of money. Another just popped up in our local trader mag, but.. sigh.
I'm not judging... just expressing my personal preferences.. I'm not saying I wouldn't want to ride it. (It's probably way more torquey then my 900, I'd like to experience that) I'm not saying 4-stroke IS better per-se. The only thing I said was that I personally like the sound of a 4-stroke better. ...
Might be fast... but still sounds like a chainsaw... ;) Don't mean anything by it, I just like the sound of a 4 stroke WAY more... I'm pretty sure that a 500 2 stroke could keep up with my 900 4 stroke. But 4 stroke sounds better. 2 stroke always, even the big ones, remind me of my 50cc Yamaha I had way back in the days... (I always wanted a Honda 4-stroke but couldn't afford it) So I can imagine ppl liking the 2-stroke sound. I'm just not one of them.. Sorry! It looks nice though!
some people who have commented really shouldnt, they havent a clue what there on about. its like me having my say on football i know fuk all about it and wudnt watch a video about it if i thought it was shit!!
To be honest... Don't like that too much either. Especially if it is mixed with synthetic racing oil. (OMG this is gonna be a "-"-magnet again.) Still not exactly sure what I deserved the -3 for. I mean I wasn't disrespectful, just honest. I'm really more of a 4 stroke person. For me nothing beats the smell of a rich running 4-stroke. Yeah yeah come on dish out those "-"s again...
Nob???!? Looked up the definition... I don't think that's what you mean either. definition according to Oxford dictionary -> nob [nob] noun Chiefly British Slang. a person of wealth or social importance.
Ehm there were no CBR models in 1977... Should do your research before calling someone a dimwit. (which is spelled incorrectly too ;S ) no 800 either for that matter.... The honda bike being used for racing in1977 was the CB750R(or F) The first CBR is from late 1983-1984 (CBR400) or even just early 1984 The first CBR***RR models are early 1986-1987. Do your homework before trying to insult someone will ya...!!

You evidently haven't a clue what you're on about. He needs to set up the bike properly so it runs right before he can ride it.
I doubt you`ve even ridden a tuned 500 and whats the point of riding an RG500 in a straight line for quarter of a mile what a waste
