In time, I believe that Oblivion will be regarded for what it is: a very fine film indeed, and a classic in the making. John Carpenter's The Thing was not an instant hit, nor was Blade Runner. However, both are now widely regarded as masterpieces of their respective genres, and rightly so. Those with appreciative ears and eyes already recognise the power and emotion of Oblivion, as I did on my first viewing all those years ago. As you say, it's an awesome movie.

Oblivion is one of those underrated movies that should have been more famous. Awesome scifi move with a good story line and suspense.
