    I like that very much.
    Super good tutorial.
    Also very well explained.
This whole knot technique so called macramé, I did the last time when I was still very very young 1973. And now it seems to be fashionable again. Also the materials are much better now.
I'm thinking about making myself such a cool keychain too.
Also your bracelets are really cool.
    Thanks for all your tutorials.

Well, they may be illegal in some states, but considering criminals don't care about laws, I can honestly say idc whether monkey fists are illegal where I live, and I'll take my chances if I ever use it against anyone. everytime I leave my house I have 3 knives (2 folders and 1 fixed blade) a golfball monkey fist, pen/pencil set (from Tactile Turn) flashlight (usually just a olightwarrior mini 2), a small pry bar, a finger knuck and my 40cal pistol at my appendix along with 2 extra 15rd mags. I also have 2 bugout bags (1 urban, 1 for the wild) that live in the trunk of my car as well as a trauma kit and Firestarter/bushcraft kit in seat pockets. right now, I'm trying to figure out and how I can make a lockbox that sits under my rear seat so I can put an AR platform rifle in my car to where it's 100% secure and out of site. The last thing I need is a break-in and have some pos going around using my rifle for criminal activities. some say I'm paranoid. I say I like to try being prepared for any situation I can be prepared for regardless of where I am or what environment I'm in.

You should come up with a monkey fist that can unravel with a pull. Not illegal if there is no evidence of it

Interesting concept/idea! With the way a monkey's fist knot is tied though, I'm not really sure if it's possible to make it unravel quickly.

      It's the intent behind it.
Anecdotal evidence: I have been allowed to roam freely through not only the RCJ carrying a monkey's fist, but Westminster Palace and the upper floors of Portcullis House as well. AFTER being asked what the object hanging off my keychain is.

You can't win because monkey's fist impact tools are BOTH "legal" and "illegal", often at the same time in the same places! Don't wanna turn this into a discussion about politics where I live, or where anyone else does, but if you care, you need to look up the exact wording of the laws anywhere they might apply to you, because ignorance of the law is never an excuse (for you.)
If you want something that will protect you from having some brainless Karen call the cops on you, this will probably help. And yes, that's a real threat, I know a guy who had the police called on him because he had a Victorinox multitool with the classic red plastic scales poking out of a pocket at a university once. The university literally phoned it in like it was Columbine in progress. (Don't get me started on the five year legal fight he had with the university after they expelled him.)
The laws in MY state make it illegal to conceal the usual sorts of things: Brass knuckles, "slungshots" (monkey's fist or similar impact tools), knives that open via a spring, or any similar device intended to cause harm or-and this is the important part-CAN BE USED IN A MANNER THAT COULD cause harm. So you're guilty of carrying an illegal concealed weapon basically if they say you are. Your keys, a lanyard, a pen, a water bottle in a bag or backpack, anything they argue could be used in a way that could cause harm that they also argue was concealed. If they want to convict you of this, they can. That's utterly detestable, but consider the people who create and enforce such open-ended laws. Moving on.
The dude I know from the university … the local police did not consider his SAK any kind of weapon. Nor anything else he was carrying. As it was told to me, they laughed in the face of the university official in question and threatened to arrest them for filing a false police report. It could've gone very differently though, and it was far from the end of his trouble over carrying a perfectly reasonable tool.
No, this wasn't even recent, it was coming up on 20 years ago, in fact.

Thanks for sharing. You’ve also pointed out a reason why it’s best to wear your “item” in an open fashion so it’s not concealed. This works best when said item also looks innocuous or even has decorative effect.

can you please do a video on how to make a paracord blackjack? I would assume all you would have to do is get rid of that key ring and put a spring in that handle section. You're a paracord expert, I'm sure you could figure it out.
