Ah yes, even though, sometimes, after dying to a tough enemy, i feel so frustrated that shura might visit me, i still end up having fun and feeling as if i lifted mount everest with one hand after defeating a challenging enemy. The visual style of this game and the sountrack are fantastic as well. So, when you finish the game, it'll feel as if you did the impossible, and that feeling is amazing. But untill then, the flames of hatred rage on sometimes.
I think 3 days took me to defeat him :)) i finished the game in over 100h. But i defeated every boss and mini bosses. Now i got platinum and at 5th walkthrough i think i finished in less than 5h . For me, one of the best games ever, alongside Demon's souls!
Im starting to play dark souls 1, 3, sekiro, and perhaps bloodborne before the new Elder Ring comes out. So I'll keep that phrase in my head for as long as i can remember it. Now wish me patience please!
Souls/elden ring feel more passive while bloodborne/sekiro feel a lot more aggressive in your gameplay, I like both styles but it is fun to get more aggressive rather than focus on dodging

Robert was very sick and his father heard of the rejuvenating waters so he brought robert to the senpou temple and the monks made a deal to the father to repel a thousand blades and we will heal your son but the son died because they experimented on him instead of healing, the father didn't know and still guarding untill you killed him by making him fall
The poem he wrote is reminiscent of the death poem of a character in shogun the book she said he was obsessed with “what are clouds But an excuse for the sky? What is life But an escape from death?”

When I reached the second fight with the Headless Ape I expressed a healthy amount of contempt the moment the second ape appeared and wrecked me. My wife, who doesn’t play games and has no interest in them, offered to beat it for me (how droll). I told her if she beat it I’d quit playing video games forever. She leaped at the chance. I showed her the controls, and she proceeded to kick the absolute shit out of the Headless Ape by spamming Mortal Draw. She even attacked through its terror scream, and staggered it, something I didn’t know you could even do. I was spared when the second ape came down, and she got pinned against a wall, making the camera go screwy. I still think giving up games would have been worth seeing someone with zero experience beat that boss.
Alief Rezki From what I could tell she hit it with a Mortal Draw while it was just starting its Terror scream animation. It knocked the ape out of the animation. Edit: I haven’t had the balls to try and replicate it, so I am not sure if I was just imagining it, or if it’s a legit strategy.

It's amazing that when I started this game, I felt completely out of my depth and struggled through my entire first playthrough and beat some bosses by cheesing. However, on my subsequent playthroughs I became an unstoppable force that stood toe to toe against every foe, able to deflect and cut with no need for prosthetics, skill upgrades or buffs. I didn't grind or exploit the game in any way and instead I truly got gud at the core mechanics. Can't wait to continue the story in the west.

4:49 I never realized how the stark difference between the dodge mechanic and the parry. How the previous games were made with dodging at their main mechanic but in this one they actually asked what would happened if not only you take that away but actually wanted the enemy to hit you. That's mind blowing. An "Obstacle is The Way" attitude. And not only worked, the best mechanic so far was created and it's one of the most ingenious and viscerally beautiful things that i ever saw. It's my favorite gamestyle cause of how it forces you to be brave. P.S. You were awesome for going after the answer for him and trying to help him out on your own.

Corrupted monk was my sensei, 3 gourd seeds strengh 2 I think, no divine confetti no firecracker arm or any other trick I just died and died again Until eventually I stop being scared of parrying and learned his patterns, after that the game became significantly easier, I think I beat Genchiro on my second try, everything seems more in slow mo once you git gud.

Your argument (if that can be called an argument) is what sounds as just garbage to me.
What is the ultimate purpose of a game?? Bring fun to the player. Since "fun" is a subjective concept, the best thing to do in terms of game development is to make the difficulty modular, so each player can adjust the difficulty to it's own preference, whether it's a hardcore or casual gamer.
I am the opposite of your target demographic and I watch all of these videos because the humor in it is priceless. I lost it at the Bill Murray comparison.

4:49 I never realized how the stark difference between the dodge mechanic and the parry. How the previous games were made with dodging at their main mechanic but in this one they actually asked what would happened if not only you take that away but actually wanted the enemy to hit you. That's mind blowing. An "Obstacle is The Way" attitude.
And not only worked, the best mechanic so far was created and it's one of the most ingenious and viscerally beautiful things that i ever saw. It's my favorite gamestyle cause of how it forces you to be brave.
P.S. You were awesome for going after the answer for him and trying to help him out on your own.

That snake-eyes miniboss bit was so relatable. Just got past the foldable monkeys and no boss has been nearly as frustrating as Snake Eyes so far.

Corrupted monk was my sensei, 3 gourd seeds strengh 2 I think, no divine confetti no firecracker arm or any other trick I just died and died again Until eventually I stop being scared of parrying and learned his patterns, after that the game became significantly easier, I think I beat Genchiro on my second try, everything seems more in slow mo once you git gud.
Lady Butterfly was your teacher. Genechiro was your advanced studies class, and Owl (Father) in Hirata was your final exam. Ishiin Sword Saint is your graduation.
Exactly that's the point where u will have to completely let go of ur dark souls game style , otherwise u won't get past this boss

Every James Clavell book is damn good. I’d recommend reading them not in the written order, but chronological. Tai Pan is my fav.
Finally, I've gotten around to reading Shogun 'cos of you guys, and wow is that opening chapter a doozy. I absolutely love that Clavell uses the actual nautical terms and doesn't try and dumb it down
