been troubleshooting for weeks trying to figure out why i was working on electric only and winter is comming and electric wont cut it with 3 people trying to shower in the morning. narrowed it down to the gas valve but i was hearing clicking so it didnt make sesnse. never occured to me 1 of two could be bad. happened across your video and sure enough the one on the left was "open" ordered two new solenoids today. they are gonna take a week to get cause i had to use ebay. amazon wanted $40 a piece and $140 for the whole assembly. but at least i know the problem. cant thank you enough for helping me out. only problem now is that the water heater wont stay on on electric only with the leads to the broken solinoids disconnected. may have to crim on connections and then cut and recrimp when they arrive. small price to pay. thanks again

Today I smelt propane coming from my cold water heater. Last year I replaced the burner assembly. Everything was working just fine. I took some soapy water a spray it on the orfice. And bubbles appears. Are the solenois going bad? I did not have this problem last year and I have not even dewinterize as yet. It's still pretty cold in New York. Any help woud be greatly appreciated.
I can’t believe both of mine are ohming out at zero. I did find another ohmmeter and I still come up zero that’s a dead. Just waiting for my solenoid to come in the mail
Occasionally my solenoids click on & immediately back off the the unit fails to ignite. It’s a brand new unit & it has 13.5 volts going to it, so what may be the problem? Could the new solenoids be bad?

Most likely if it's bubbling with it off valves are not seating/shutting off. Leander how to blow out your gas lines before installing a new Gas valve
@@Rvdiagnostics Thank you for your help, so it is the solenoid? This is new to me, just learn about it from your video.

Don't forget you have to clean your blow out your propane loines/hoses
