The set up is not working no matter what I do it’s saying no base unit available make sure you’re connected to the same Wi-Fi how do you fix this because the instructions are very vague it doesn’t tell you anything on the Quickstart guide
I haven't been able to find the cab 3 app whatsoever. My club has the lcs wifi and multiple cab 2 bases whenever we run at shows or fun runs and I love the idea of always having my controller in my pocket.
My only problem with the app is a touch screen doesn't have feedback like an actual button. Just got back into the hobby and I might just end up getting the base 2 and cab 2 remote
Me, too! A lot of us old farts don't own a smartphone. But you can't buy Cab-2 any more (unless you're willing to pay a scalper on eBay close to $1000 for one).
I just did it. Got raked over the coals, on my word though. That is how much I love running my trains, and how much I utterly despise using 'apps'....puke. Going to cancel my preorder Base3, an easy decision. Thanks for the video!
And I love how there are so many videos, from Lionel even, about how to connect your old obsolete remotes. I guess even they have no faith in their new app LOL
With trains being unrepairable due to parts unavailability the future looks grim. Buying 1 new phone once in a while ok. Not a whole roster of engines.
I hope it sells well. My course of action would be to buy a used Cab 2. The system seems to miss the mark technologically and also is way above the price point for folks in these inflationary times. I believe we are looking at the second coming of the 1957 Girl's Train Set.
I wonder what would happen if I plugged a normal DCC system (like Digitrax or NCE) to my track.
Would my Lionel locomotives respond to it?

I'm guessing they will release it along side the system
Yup it's out today
Will the base3 have the quilling whistle just like the Cab2

I will stick with my CAB 2. Thanks.
No problem
What if I get a phone call - will my trains be un operable? Or will it offer a split screen feature For important features?
was this a a deal with Apple?
