The band covered this brilliantly in their early days. I'm glad they covered it well here, in front of the master himself.
R.I.P. Solomon.
So cool to see Solomon singing his signature song with the Stones… would have loved to have seen them back when they opened their shows with this great number, but it was long before my concert going days!
むむ 私のコンサート💥Who Are You?
A miscellaneous mystery
This is great Solomon Burke & The Stones on the same stage.✌👍
The stones can cover any song they want and it will sound good. The Stones are just simply the epitome of what rock ,blues sounds like 🎉🎉
First time I saw Solomon Burke was at the Charlotte Coliseum in 1964. He did a duet with Sugar Pie Desanto that literally brought the house down.
Solomon 'Soul Hero' Burke ♡
Solomon Burke is a god among men. So much soul.
I saw these two at the Wiltern theatre in Los Angeles, was the best concert I ever saw in my entire life!
La vida no sería la misma sin los Rolling Stones. Grandes, piedras!
Hats of too Solomon burke what guy miss u rip great respect from stones
It was freaking bouncing and moving FANTASTIC Stones are Awesome The juice keeps pumping and I know why YEAh!
SOLOMON hat den Song geschrieben. R.I.P. Die Stones haben ihn groß herausgebracht! Einfach Fantastisch!
Didn’t Solomon pass on 10-10-10?
Ohhhhhhhhhh !! My God !!
I just happened to see this video and noticed the Stones say this show was in Paris BUT I was there as part of Solomon's band. We opened the show and it was at the Wiltern Theater in LA. It was a amazing to see Mick's knees buckle under the weight of Solomon's cloak....(maybe there is some parallel meaning behind that?) My wife Brooks and I watched this part of the show while helping hold Solomon's height-challenged wife, Sunday, up high enough to see over the heads of the crowd....We love you Bishop!
THANK YOU!!!!
Cool blues!
Fantastisch 💋
Great moment .
SIMPLY GREAT !
THANK YOU SOLOMON !

Wish they still opened their shows with this show like they did in 1964.

Yes and when I think that people could suspected Mick of racism with Brown Suggar, they just have to see how Solomon gives his cape to Mick, crazy world.

Hey! The Blues Brothers were a tribute band.
😢...Solomon
This dude said he felt the planks of wood move up and down. The other one said he tried to shake his hand but the stage was moving.
Nice they played with Solomon before he died (he fell through the floor I think).
i would've love 2 see that!
Excelente mi banda favorita por siempre.......
blues bothers flashback !!!!
3:03
Never seen mick laugh like this
Excepted with Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker or Muddy Water :)
@@Methilde yeah true. I mean who wouldn't be smiling from ear to ear with those legends!
Aside from the fat jokes, I loved it ! Although i would have liked to hear a improvised guitar lead. solomon was so damn magnanimous it didnt seem to matter much, but it would have bee cool to have a change up there. I'll guess I'll have to add it in my version.
More power than a lot of young bands
Youth is overrated!
R.I.P SALOMON
LIKE!!!!!
STONES ARE THE SECOND RELLIGION OF EVERYBODY!
The greatest artist of century XX
At least the drummer had some manners.
missing the cool spoken intro on the stones record-don't know if there is one on solomom's original recording but i loved it!-ok,i just checked-it's on his record which seems a tad slower than the stone's lp
argentina i love
no not you you you- the one behind you:))
I LOVE YOU Keith Richards! #RedheadDeadhead
Him NO …he is too busy making fun of Sol …usually he’s soo spaced out .it’s even hard to understand what he is saying …No one can sing like Solomon RIP
That's right.
Why was Mr Burke no part of the film blues Brothers?????????????

/salomom burke en eros ramazotti/stromae
/carlin records
Solomon Burke had infinitely more talent than any of them, and they're going to crack jokes about his size?
More talent than them? Get fucking real. Furthermore he weighs about 400lbs. He’s made himself into a. Joke
@@MrPernell27 Clearly you wouldn't know talent if it bit your left nipple.
Os caras tirando o maior sarro dele..mas ficaram ricos garfando caras como ele..vai 'veno'..
it'S a shame that these rotten guys, thinnend by drugs make fun of solomon'S weight! who is one of the greatest soul singers of all times!
... is that really the message you got from this video? that they were ridiculing him? jeesh...
have a look
didn't ask for your opinion-
who are you to judge? I just described my opinion, that's OK. Don't fuck me up.
Yes it is ok! never said it wasnt. Good day to you
Great song. A little awkward though with the cloak and Burke leaving the stage before song's end?
Agreed! The cloak thing was obviously a bit of a debacle haha
But, I would assume, given the amount of R&B influence in their music, the last thing Mick meant to do was be disrespectful!
Makes even more sense if it was as heavy as he said. Mick can't sit still long enough to don a heavy cape! 😜
I went back a few times to watch when Solomon left the stage and I'm thinking there's always a chance he couldn't make it any longer on stage without some sort of rest/relief. NO DISRESPECT INTENDED just being realistic. It's gotta be HOT AS HELL under those lights combined with the energy it takes to sing. Without active training, that's a rough combo even for the healthiest young person.
@@Bernacide agreed ::
They could’ve said something nice about his voice, but they chose to say something stupid about his weight..
Keith and Ron as usual, Mick is more respectful.
"A-TRIBUTE-A-MICK-JAGGER-A-WIFE...zb music inc
ALL MAN CRY TOO...
Fat jokes cud have been omitted.
Wow it's really hard to believe that the Stones can be soooooooo disrespectful- especially Mick who has gone on record whenever possible to confess his debt to the great soul singers like Solomon Burke, James etc. who according to him he would watch perform for hours at places like the Apollo. Of course he never mentions getting up on stage with them. Maybe he was to awestruck like the great John Lennon who was so scared to follow Little Richard that he went back stage and vomited. NO class
Are you referring to the obesity related comments or the cloak thing or just all of it, so to speak?
Humans have been known to do some peculiar, unexpected and rather regrettable things while in the presence of those we look up to. Maybe it was a combo of nerves and adrenaline, etc.
Mick DID atleast admit that he regretted not responding in a more "gentlemanly" way.
I love your comment .I agree wt you …
especially as the stones are a funktioning rhythm section giving these weird old guys the basis to muddle through the song! disrespect!!!!
