Can Maliketh Defeat ALL Demigods and Gods Back to Back? - Elden Ring

- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether the boss called Maliketh, the black blade can defeat all demigods and gods one after the other.
To make this test more challenging instead of leaving his boss fight with 2 distinct phases I've merged the stats of both phases and decided to keep his 2nd phase form from the beginning. After the merging he has 21k health, 200 poise and tier 17 instead of tier 15 like he normally would.
According to the elden ring lore, Maliketh, the Black Blade was the half-brother and sworn shadow of Queen Marika and guardian of the Rune of Death. Desiring a world without Destined Death, Marika took the Rune of Death from the Elden Ring and charged Maliketh with protecting it. Maliketh's blade was then imbued with the power of the rune, making him a fearsome foe for any who would challenge Marika's order. After the night of the black knives, In his shame, Maliketh bound his blade within his own flesh, so that none could ever steal the power of death again.

Radahn post rot/holding back stars prob could've given him a good run ....the strongest is malenia in the game but I think I could make the case radahn won the fight maybe even the war...she gave him rot so most consider her the victor but according to Millicent she released the rot god within to meet radahns measure meaning he was def giving her the business she had to forsake herself to even stalemate him ...they were both knocked unconscious but radahn took himself and others back home however she was carried and left in a coma until we get to her....idk radahns a mindless beast but he was alive and still able to think until a certain point she was literally beaten into submission/coma until we awaken her
@@qualiswilliams7403 I’m pretty sure even before radahn got poisoned that he still feared maliketh. The holder of destined death had the power to kill even the elden beast who knows if even prime radahn could do that.

Chance of him winning was like 10%…. then the moment he dodged her aeonia it went up to like 90%.

@kolindagrabar-kitarovic133 I don’t think you fully understand the concept of the lore…. Maliketh was Queen Marika’s shadow. He is empowered and imbued with the rune of death. He literally uses death as a weapon. Not to mention every demigod was afraid of him.

This shows how absolutely powerful Maliketh is. If he had a full healthbar, he would probably be the hardest boss in the game. IMO he is the best already
Malekith has doubled hp and poise in this video btw.
Normally, Malekith only has around 10k hp total (P1 + P2).
Whereas in this, he has 21k hp, and not to mention he also starts off in P2 for this video.
Malekith with normal stats can still potentially defeat every demigod in this game, but probably not back to back.
The higher poise really makes him strong i think. Normally you can stagger him quite easily.
@@kamin1697 Yup. You can actually perma stunlock him even at RL1 with both Cragblade and FOTR. He can never get out of it. It's a true stunlock combo. You cast FOTR twice, riposte, cast it twice, riposte, repeat. He will not be able to recover. With Cragblade on a Greathammer, you charge R2, press R2, riposte, charge R2, press R2, riposte, repeat. It's why he needs a massive buff. 120-160 Poise and 20-30k health should be good.
Destined Death is balanced to the player, not to enemy AI which doesn't dodge, which is why they get rekt.

The fact that Malenia was the only one to do 60 % of the job and not in her area for some dance attack.
To be fair, she was the only one with a proper second form, so she technically got two attempts

@@ike7775 Yes, Scarlet Aeonia does like 11k to bosses, if it lands it’s gg, Malenia Phase 2 often has a 50/50 chance to beat the Maliketh boss by herself even without phase 1 if she lands Scarlet Aeonia, look it up.
And thus, Maliketh owned up to his lore, even this weakened version of him. Malenia ran to meet him, he met her halfway, and dodged the Aeonia just beautifully. Poor Radahn.

this is not the weakened version . this is the version four times more powerful than the normal one. and malenia still managed to do 60% damage. if that scarlet aeonia landed she wouldve taken him whole.

Some of these bosses, (ex: radahn and mohg) are straight up damage checks. Radahns meteor deals around 11k and mohg has percentage based damage. But nobody out damages maliketh, the black blade. There is a reason he is feared by ALL, including the demigods.
There's also a damn good reason his health bar doesn't fill up in his second form
Yeah, because he's death itself. Destined death has no meaning after the shaterring, but he's still top 5.
@@mercylavigne Destined death has a ton of meaning after the Shattering if I'm not mistaken, because he *has* The Rune of Death, meaning he is canonically the only creature post Shattering (Save for Black Knives and Kindred) that can just outright perma kill no revive. Canonically our Tarnished shouldn't respawn against Malekith given we are perma killed canonically speaking.
@@Aeternus75 No. Destined Death is the only thing that could kill Gods before the shattering, the Rune of Death belonged to the gloam eyed queen, who created the blackflame.
After she was defeated the rune was sealed into maliketh's blade and flesh. After the shattering it has no meaning because everyone can die, even demigods. They will revive, but back then nobody could kill them.
@@mercylavigne No, it wasn't originally the Gloam Eyed Queen's as they are an Empyrean, Marika had it and it was apart of the Elden Ring before she cast it away, it's how Ranni and the Black Knives were even able to steal part of it. It's only after that does Malekith seal the Black Blade which has the Rune of Death into his own flesh.
We also know nobody can die normally given that it's directly stated that Post-Shattering without the rune of death that nobody can die, (Stated and shown after we unseal the Rune of Death.) It's why we even see Those Who Live in Death. The canonical only way to fully die post Shattering is through any of the Black Knives (They have a fraction of the power of the Rune of Death as shown by its item description.)
The Black Blade Kindred (Same as above, they have the power of Destined Death behind them.)
And the Rune of Death / Black Blade itself. Blackflame can no longer impart death since it was stated that the Gloam Eyed Queen's defeat and the Rune of Death getting sealed severely weakened it.

Can you do the same for Morgott. But make him start in the final stage where he will not use his vomit attack and sword rain attack. I have noticed that a lot of times Morgott gets rekt in these boss v boss fights because those 2 attacks turn him into a sitting duck for far too long. Without them he might be a lot more dangerous in boss v boss.

Lore accurate morgott is an absolute beast. He had radahn pinned and that was radahns prime before the scarlet rot nuke that malenia pulled out on him

The fact that he not only dodged the Aeonia, BUT FOLLOWED UP WITH A RANGED ATTACK?! Guys, he HAS to be the smartest boss in this whole game. Honestly though, once he beat Malenia, he was kind of home free. Most of Radagon's damage is holy, which he is heavily resistant to, and pretty much ALL of Elden Beasts damage is holy, so... Yeah. Guess he truly is my favorite boss for a reason.

Fortissax high-key does need a health buff. Such a disappointment for being an endgame boss that takes several steps to get to.

The fight against Malenia really shows the importance of home field advantage. Whenever Maliketh fights her at home, he uses the pillars to jump and avoid many of her attacks, including her Aeonia. Whenever he's not fighting at home, where there's no pillars, he gets hit by it and gets wrecked.
He actually claps Malenia at her own field. The only thing she has that stops it from being a 110% wipe for Maliketh is her Scarlet Aeonia. And that’s if it lands.

Bit of a side topic, was Marika actually ever in the possession of the rune of death? I thought the rune was originally held by the Dusk-eyed Queen before she was defeated by Maliketh. If Marika gave him the rune straight up I feel like it’d be redundant to defeat the queen considering she is no longer a threat to the golden order.
Edit: After looking at the wiki, Enia seems to confirm that it was “plucked from the golden order upon its creation.” Which raises another interesting point, it seems like the Godskin Queen is capable of channeling death despite not being in possession of the rune.
From what I understand in the lore the Dusk eyed Queen was an empirian, like ranni and miquella, and challenged Marika to establish her own order. She had power of the rune of death, and as such was the only one capable of killing gods. However she was defeated by malekith. Afterwards Marika removed the rune of death from the ER and sealed it in malekith who would wield it as his weapon, acting as Marika’s executioner.
@@mannytprimeministerofthemanate Ahh, that makes sense that it'd be sealed after her defeat then. If that is so, then it seems like the Gloam-eyed Queen was indeed capable of channeling death through her blackflames despite not actually being in physical possession of the rune of death as that was in the elden ring at the time. I can see why she was such a threat to Marika's order much more now. I really hope we get to see more on destined death and its past in the DLC.
The queen was defeated long ago, maliketh stole the rune and sealed it within his blade. The flame still exists and can be channeled, yes, but it can no longer kill a god meaning Marika cannot die.
The godskins have been in the lands between longer then erdtree btw
The gloam eyed queen channeled it from the ring itself (like the player casting elden stars, magic is easy for anyone to channel from the elden ring), marika then removed it from the ring and turned it into a sword which she gave to maliketh(for a multitude of reasons).
On the night of the black knives, ranni and the assassins broke his sword and infused shards of it into the black knives.
The assassins pumped a lot of the rune into Godwyn when they half-killed him, allowing it to sprout as deathroot once he fused with the roots of the erdtree.
After his sword was partially broken, maliketh fused the rest of his sword with himself so that no one could ever take any more of it. He then became Gurranq and started consuming deathroot in hopes to one day make the rune whole again.

I fight Malekith as a summon all the time. I've probably fought him 200+ times. Everyone thinks the flurry attack is the most dangerous, but out of all of his moves, the one that I see killing the most players by far is the spinning slash he does after throwing three projectiles at you. Nobody expects it, and the dodge timing is fairly tight. It also one shots up to about 50 vigor, and leaves you with almost nothing in your health bar even if you do survive.
Omg probably the best Malenia kill I have ever seen! So epic when Maliketh dodged the scarlet bloom
To specify what effect "merging his two phases" has compared to his lore-accurate version, here he has double his canon health and nearly triple his canon poise -- hence why he could beat Malenia, who is normally too tanky for him, and why he never got stance-broken once despite being normally notoriously glass-jawed.
To be fair, he can beat Malenia normally but the odds are like 30/70. His DoT melts her health bar even as she's transitioned into second phase.

He can beat Malenia with half his canon health lol. I'm not sure where you got that other idea from. He just doesn't survive the Rot because the AI doesn't dodge the Aeonia.

Reasons why Maliketh is a True Legendary Warrior (MY OPINIONS ONLY NO CLAIMS):
- He is So agile, huge and wields a Great Sword single handedly and unleashes Death Slashes while in mid air.
- Since he has Death In his Blade literally, meaning he can theoretically slay a God with his Blade alone (which brings continues burning status, and permenatly decreases full health)
- He Defeated the Gloam Eyed Queen (which she is an Emperyean while he is an Emperyean's Shadow).
- And Finally even though he knew he was betrayed by his Half Sister, he still stood loyal to his Duties given by her to protect destined death. For the Mistake she had made.
This is making me wish his boss fight was a 2nd phase full health like Malenia

Just wanna say, love your videos and appreciate them. But y’all do realize Godfrey is a demigod, right? The item description for Godfrey icon says he was the first demigod. None of these videos (not just yours, but also other peoples videos similar to these) include Godfrey.
That'a because Godfrey has the status of demigod, he is not a TRUE demigod, but being Elden Lord made him considered so.
No wonder Ranni went the MGS route.

Malekith is just so fucking fast, goddamn. He literally chewed through most of these bosses before they could even land one hit.
If maliketh was lore accurate he would either have 50,000 hp and 500 poise or move at 2x regular speed for the whole fight, if you don’t believe me I’m gonna list some feats here for anyone not too aware of the lore
-his job/purpose is to protect marika aka an actual god
-he killed an army of godskins (who, obviously, kill gods for their skin) and their queen who was a rival to marika, all without destined death
-his name means death of the demigods
-it’s stated in game, not by an npc but on a piece of equipment (not sure what equipment tho) that every demigod feared him, not his destined death, but *him*
Also, this may not be a lore thing but just looking at his helmet, it seems like he can’t see anything while he’s fighting us, this is debatable but if it’s true that means at any point he could just take off the helmet and get even more insane
There still hasn't been a moment where Maliketh dodges malenias water fowl by doing his aerial attacks...

NVM found a video called "Maliketh beats elden ring" at 5:03 he dodges malenia's water fowl with his aerial attack and it is the best thing I have ever seen, he also absolutely destroys Malenia, %based DMG goes hard bruh
