    I really like this so far.
    Just a couple of hints to for your trains:
    - The two axles on the tender of you logging train looks just wrong. Tenders are heavy the have lots of wheels to handle the weight.
    - Also remove the bumpers between the locomotive and the tender. And move the tender forwards right against the loko. Locos and their tenders are usually treated as a single unit. And the fireman has to get into the tender to shovel coal.
    - All trains have a red light at the end.
    - Passenger/Express Locomotives have fewer (2-3) Large driving axles for higher speed. While Freight locomotives have smaller but more (4-5) for better traction/pulling power.
    Also why not setup production for all the nether resources including lava in the nether. you can run trains through nether portals after all.

      Um actually earlier tenders (say in England/Australia) had six wheeled tenders (in fact even the smaller tender engines had six wheels in the ‘modern’ era)

  • @bluechromata6976

    Hey! I just thought that I’d point out that the Vaults have a smaller storage space than a regular chest or barrels per block, and when you put them on a train they’re just a straight downgrade. The amount of space can be changed in the config, but since this is something I learned the hard way I thought I’d let you know!

    • @rockythewolf5190
      @rockythewolf5190 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Yes, but if they aren't vaults, the train will try to eat the wood to make it faster as shown with the mini train before the big train was built

    A couple of notes!
    - With the copycat panels (and steps), when a block has multiple orientations, you can right-click the panel with that block to change the rotation.
    - The portable storage interfaces access all containers on the carriage they're attached to, so you can have multiple smaller vaults hidden completely under the logs without any framed blocks or copycat panels. (Or even chests/barrels, which have a higher per-block capacity than vaults.)
    - When you were standing on the train, it wasn't that you didn't sit in the seat. If you run into an obstacle (like the blocks that weren't glued down) you get popped out of the seat.
    Fantastic video as always!

    • @MrBeardstone
      @MrBeardstone  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      OOoh I didn't know that about the portable storage interfaces on trains - that's very interesting! I learned about the other bits AFTER the vieo lol

    4:46 This is a logging train from where I was logging IRL. Woss, British Columbia. This train was decommissioned in 2017 due to a lack of maintenance on the rails, and all the rails in the town of Woss were torn up. The old Englewood Railway. They used massive "A Frame" yarders to load the logs from trucks onto trains which could carry many more logs compared to highway trucks. I've worked with a few A-Frames before, the last two working in North America.
    They did operate Steam locomotives back when it was run by CANFOR.

    7:05 There is a bogeys mode you'll want to look at, it adds so many more bogey types, believe its called "Create: Extended Bogeys" and other is another mod that actually make flywheels turn when the train is drive as well as giving you more colour options. I think that one is called "Create: Extended Flywheels".

  • @Ronzaigu
    @Ronzaigu ปีที่แล้ว +19

    With the copycat blocks when you use a block to set the texture you can actually click multiple time to change the texture "orientation", and other blocks like the redstone lamp can be turned on by right clicking again with a redstone lamp, same with the rose quartz lamp (i don't remember if it's called like that).

    Glad to see my request for a caboose for your freight train from a couple episodes ago came to be. Also Beardstone, think you could build a shunting or marshalling yard of sorts for your trains in future? It's basically where you move cars around and assemble all kinds of trains with them. I believe one of the add-ons you have has a decoupler which should make it completely functional.

    This series just keeps gettin' better and better per episode. As for name suggestions for this new train, my suggestion would be the "Blackwood Hauler"; black because the main locomotive is very dark in color, wood as per the thing it transports, and hauler because "to haul" can either mean "pull or drag with effort or force" or "pull (something attached to it) behind it"

    For the terraforming around the new train yard, instead of cutting the mountain back you could build it up, and have a shed built into the side of it that covers the rails. You could even then have a little rail with a tiny train on that keeps cutting through the hill until it joins up with your mineshaft, like a little grungy coal train.

    Using a Blaze Burner Cage and Capturing a Blaze and setting it down as the "driver" of a train structure still counts as a conductor for your trains. No need for leads. Just grab and go. Slap a schedule and you're off. And at the same time. The blaze will look at you while not moving. And look ahead while it is moving. Hope this saves any time in the future when getting drivers for your trains
