    Thanks for reacting! I see that some people are trying to compare my guide to the other 40+ minutes-long guides out there. I definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for high details! Though I don't really get the comparison. My video was meant to be short and lighthearted, precisely to serve as a small introduction without overwhelming new fans with information.
    I have opinions like everyone else, and I make jokes out of them. Jokes that I assume some people are mistaking as "facts". But I can see they got a couple of smiles and giggles out you, so I consider my mission accomplished! 👏🏼😄
    Looking forward to your Babymetal journey 🤘🏼

      The other Babymetal guides were good but yours was both funny and informative. It was clear when you were giving your opinion and when you were giving us accurate information. I really think your guide should be the one that all new fans watch going forward.

    Excellent reaction and I think Omajination did a great job with this as a quick and light hearted guide into the basics for somebody new to and just wanting to find out a bit more about BABYMETAL.
    Watch a few more songs and then you will be ready for CrypticMisery's longer and more 'in depth' guide (don't worry about getting permission - he made it to be reacted to and I don't recall seeing him around in the comments anywhere much lately ... it won't be blocked anyway).
    It does have a couple of spoilers for a couple of songs if you haven't seen them - so leave it until at least after you've seen 'BABYMETAL Death' and 'BxMxC' (the x's are punctuation - it is BMC).
    Anyway, enough about guides for now, you know more than you did, so that was why you watched this and that is great. You can carry on exploring the music and live performances for more songs now and I'm sure we're all enjoying that journey with you.

    Just to clear it up for you, "Kawaii" roughly translates to 'cute' but it means more than that...its everything surrounding cuteness...its not just how something or someone looks, but it's actions and general presence....its complicated....so, just think cute. LoL!!
    More Babymetal Always!!
    Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!

  • @autohmae
    @autohmae ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Thanks for this reaction. Kawaii means adorable/cute. Kawaii culture is a sub-culture in Japan. It's their style and the J-Pop part of Babymetal, is more the vocals.
    As you noticed Babymetal has an origin in Sakura Gakuin, even though Babymetal started early when they were just kids, their is a whole pre-Babymetal/parallel-to-Babymetal history/videos/content.
    Babymetal has said in interview Yui is OK. I personally think she has something like a back issue, which means she couldn't tour with Babymetal anymore, but recovered from it so in regular every day life she has no issues.
    4:46 this might need a small explanation: Omajination is a Yuimetal fan, having Momometal join means Yuimetal will not be back in Babymetal. So happiness for Momometal to join, but grief, etc. for Yuimetal not coming back.
    BxMxC is a pronounced, BMC, the x's are punctuation.

    • @thevictorone
      @thevictorone  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ty for ....well clearing that up....thank you want Yuimetal to be successful ....Su will make sure she is

    • @autohmae
      @autohmae ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@thevictorone we are all hoping for Yui to come back into entertainment. Until a few years ago Moa was still in uni. (and thus based on age so could Yui). So I think Yui probably focused on that. Yui was a child-actress which was her dream before Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal, etc. She said in her personal Babymetal leaving message that she wanted to peruse an other dream outside of Babymetal (as health prevented her from being in Babymetal). So my personal guess is: she is going back to acting. The company Babymetal is part of is a 'talent agency' (they have models, actors, hosts/presenters, etc., anything in entertainment, singers, etc.), Babymetal is sort of one of their side gig. They are meant to have their talent hired for tasks in entertainment . So a group like Babymetal is sort of a showcase of what they can deliver as a company (and a source of revenue which doesn't depend on other companies of course). Anyway,... Yui is still under contract, which means she could choose to go do acting again, as part of Amuse.

    Expect the unexpected is so true with BABYMETAL. They just released a new song yesterday called Metali!! Featuring Tom Morello that is an amazing banger that sounds unlike anything they did before. It is a great fun song.
    BABYMETAL has over 60 songs and has a few different versions of some of their songs. You can't go wrong picking any. Go ahead and react to official MVs but follow up with live to see the true power of BABYMETAL.
    🤘🦊🤘
    PS. Kawaii metal means cute metal. Heavy instrumentation with jpop vocals, visuals and choreography.

    • @Dragonstar-Metal
      @Dragonstar-Metal ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @thevictorone I think BABYMETAL is VERY dangerous... 3 little girls (Su, Moa and Yui) controlling thousands of people (example: Tokyo Dome 55K people 2 nights in a row. Total: 110K) to jump and their command, form wall of deaths and bow down repeatedly with fear of Su-Metal's death glare if you misbehave.
      Now we have Su, Moa and Momo (3 young women) continuing with their Kawaii take on metal and I couldn't be happier. I'm a 56 year old metalhead and I am very deep into the foxhole.
      Yes... they are VERY, VERY dangerous!

    Looking forward to your road of resistance reaction for sure! As Jake said, this isn't the video most would recommend, but I've neve seen it and while it does offer opinions rather than facts in areas, it still was wasn't bad. It was still enjoyable and had light-hearted humour in it. She did mention you check out Akatsuki. She didn't mention that there are actually 2 versions of Akatsuki. There's the "unfinished" version which is more of an unplugged version which Su only sang 1 time sadly and there's the regular version. Since both are so different from each other (think Monochrome versus Monochrome piano version), I'd recommend reacting to both of them. Also, I'm not sure BxMxC is the song I would have chosen for you to check out, but, again, that's where the opinion part comes into play. In the end, there isn't really a right and wrong way to enjoy Babymetal, so just follow your instinct. After all, it IS your channel :)

      I enjoyed it and I found it informative....I did not want a 3 hour documentary.....Ithink she did well and should be supported bc she put in a lot of work, and taught me a lot ...thank you for being so supportive...and hope you have a great weekend...road of resistance....maybe in 2 hours...it is ready and made...but waiting for best time to release it

      @jeremyboynowski3784 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@thevictorone I would agree with that, she DID do a good job with the information. The documentary that Jake was suggesting... I think there are 2 versions if its the one I'm thinking it is. There is the longer 45 minute one (approx 45, can't remember off the top of my head lol), and then there's the shorter 20 minute version (again approx). Regardless though, she did do a good job with the information. I think Jake's biggest beef is she incorporates personal opinions as well. Anyhow, just got home from work and just finished eating dinner.... now about that road of resistance reaction... time to see if its released! lol

    Excellent! Really appreciate you doing this quick guide.
    Believe it or not, we oddly enjoy watching reactions to these kind of guides. It means a lot to us (at least to me) because it shows a real interest in them.
    This is a great short guide to start although it's getting old at speed since they have a new collaboration with Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine released just yesterday and we are expecting a music video today. 😁
    Once you watch "BxMxC" and "BABYMETAL Death" (Live at Legend 1997), you will be ready for the longer guide (without major spoilers) if you want. But you need to know that there are snippets from the actual songs, not longer than 4 or 5 seconds tho.

    Awesome, now you know a bit more about Babymetal!
    On Black Babymetal, I definitely suggest Oneidari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 version). Yui & Moa's Limp Bizkit song (even sampled Fred Durst's voice lol) about being adorable little spoiled devils using their charms to trick dad to buy them things.

    It's a nice little video. I don't know why people insist that guides can't have subjective content, it doesn't hurt anything or make them less informative. The presence of an opinion doesn't negate the facts presented. I haven't seen one that contradicts any provable info. People just seem offended that someone dared to be opinionated for some reason. There's was another popular guide that people decried as having too many personal opinions, but the opinion part was clear and not presented as fact, and none of the things presented as facts were incorrect that I could tell. Both did make a little fun of metal elitists gatekeeping, but so what? XD They do that, and it's worthy of a little scorn. I do prefer Cryptic Misery's guide if only because it's more comprehensive, even not counting the lore bits. And it never gets a strike - it was basically made to be reacted to - but it is sadly out of date. And no guide contains EVERYTHING there is to know. The lore is vast. It's fun, but not necessary to enjoy and appreciate the group and its music. Mostly it just ties into their marketing and addresses changes in the band. It's honestly kind of a mess. :p A fun one, tho.
    I don't know that I really agree with the suggested watch order here. There are a few songs that most of us agree are must-sees before venturing too far into newer stuff, just so you get a better appreciation of their evolution. But I may be biased in that and suggest it mainly because it mimics the journey many of us took being exposed to these songs as they were originally released. I do think you get a deeper appreciation for their newer material if you are more familiar with their older material. It adds provenance. Things like the Trilogy of Lights from the third album hit even harder when you're better acquainted with Yui and Mikio beforehand, and when you better understand what Su and Moa went through after Yui left. I don't think the Other One would be as impressive to me if it was the first album I listened to. The context matters. Or, it matters to kitsunes. :p I would definitely get Megitsune under your belt (both live and MV) before you jump too far forward. I'm excited to see more of your journey! Welcome to The One (reacting to a guide seems to make it feel more official XD). 🤘🦊🤘

    One thing I disagree with in the video is, while Gimme Chocolate is a great song, it's not the best representation of Babymetal. Even in the context of "Kawaii Metal". I believe that Catch Me If You Can is a much better representation. It's a more even balance of cute (Kawaii) and metal and Gimme Chocolate is 75% Kawaii and 25% metal.
    That's one of the reasons why a lot of rectors who react to Gimme Chocolate as their very first introduction to Babymetal, especially lifelong metal heads, don't go back to Babymetal. I firmly believe that if you're not going to give them 3 or 4 songs before you form an opinion, Gimme Chocolate isn't the best first introduction.

    Well that's not the guide i share with you and i certainly won't recommend this type of guide since unfortunately it's full of personal opinion and subjective thoughts, that's why i recommend either the A BabyMetal Guide by CrypticMisery (thou it's outdated a couple of years) or a new one from another channel which is shorter but focus on the info. Anyway keep enjoying your journey.🦊🤘

      @@thevictorone If you're looking for CrypticMisery permission, you're wasting your time because you don't need it, plus he isn't around so much, it was made especially to introduce reactors into BM basic info and you won't have any copyright claims or strikes, there's a lot of BM guides out there and I never heard anyone being blocked or something for using it unless they're using too much official BM clips but that wouldn't be possible since they would have been blocked first.

      @@thevictorone I agree with Jake's recommendation of watching CrypticMisery's guide which will not get any claims since it was meant to be educational, shared, and reacted to. Many many reactors have reacted to it with zero issues. CrypticMisery's guide is WAY more informative and organized. Omajination's guide is a unorganized with the little bit of facts/info it provides and it's highly opinionated.
