That return style regulator makes sense about bleeding air. See I don’t use the return style on my Windsor and I’ve gone threw two sets of pistons, keep lifting the ring landings and burning holes in another set. When it goes back together this winter I’m gonna try the return style. Thanks old man, you may have fixed my problem

Small block ford's need more fuel on all the corner cylinders, #1, #4, #5, #8. Especially when you start spraying alot. I ran into this same issue years ago running a dart block 302 based motor. I know there's alot of variables as well depending on the type of kit your using. I was running a 40 jet on the nitrous side using a direct port fogger system. The way I remedied the issue was on all the corner cylinders #'s 1, 4, 5, 8, I ran a 40 n2o jet and a 38 fuel jet. And on the rest of the cylinders #'s 2, 3, 6, 7 I ran 40 n2o jet and a 34 fuel jet. I had to richen up the corners to keep it happy. Make sure you have a good stable reading on your timing as well and that you are pulling enough timing out when the kit is activated.
Model Man81 it’s ran threw a Edelbrock progressive controller and a MSD digital 6 plus and it’s got a plate kit plus a Induction Solutions fogger that worked very well on my buddies car only thing different from his to mine are my regulators and pump. This hobby of mine has me over a barrel so I’ve had to set it aside for a minute until I can actually figure out my problem. Thanks for the tip💯
Just a quick tip: You now have multiple bypasses in that fuel system because your pump (if it's like the old Holley Blue, Black, Red, etc.) has it's own internal bypass that's (supposed to be) set at 15 PSI. I've had several instances where the internal screen and plunger would get crap in them and hang up that internal bypass. That can wreak havoc on your fuel pressure!! If that filter had crap in it, I'd pull the bottom plate on that pump and clean out it's internal screen as well. Also, I would suggest checking your flowing system with the engine running. The higher voltage on the pump will also effect your pressure!! Great Vids!! Keep 'em coming!!! PS: I HATE pulsing nitrous solenoids!! It works but the solenoids don't seem to live near as long. The best luck I've had requires a bit more plumbing and wiring but multiple kits on simple timers are sooooo much easier. No worries about slew-rates, timing slopes matching/syncing with the ramp rates. Just a simple multi-step retard and any powerful enough ignition box to get the job done but not burn up coils...lol
Man. Your content is awesome. Very chill. Informational and you have built some bad ass rides. Keep up the good work!! To all the SRC members that is!!
A gallon of water is 8lbs. I've spent a lot of money at times to take 8lbs off a car. Thanks for the nitrous information. Super helpful. When I first sprayed nitrous I didnt know to set if flowing and had issues with Hobbs switch cutting the kit off when fuel pressure dropped. Videos like this would have made it so much easier learning to use nitrous.
Thank you for explaining the reasoning why on the bypass regulators. I will make that switch cause I have pressure creep with the dead head set up. Street car as well.

I agree, return style fuel systems avoid so many problems right off the bat. Plus your fuel stays cooler because the pump isn’t constantly working it. It’s amazing how many people don’t understand the cooling effect a carb has on iat’s and how keeping your fuel flowing and cool just improves that process.

Good info. From one old man (a LOT older) to another, this is great information, but the watchers have to understand that you have to have two fuel pumps, one for the engine, and one for the nitrous system. If you have one pump, your pressure settings may mean nothing unless that pump has the volume to maintain the pressures in both systems at full flow. Seen engines burned down by pumps that don't flow enough.
Its awesome how you share your knowledge & experience with everyone. Just keeping up with the boys and their trucks is hard enough let alone content every day.

Thanks for explaining that it was very informative I am using a big shot nitrous plate on a 598 big block currently the fuel is just ran off the main regulator ( bg 4 port) I have noticed clean conditions throughout the run on a 300 shot I will now be installing a standalone tank fuel pump and regulator for next year it makes perfect sense as I can run the motor on 110 and the nitrous kit on c16
Wellington ohio. Lorain county. Here. Hellboys any chance you get, come on up to dragway 42. It's in West Salem Ohio they just redid their track and it's pretty cool man they got tough truck and tractor pulls. Come on up it's a good time.
Thumbs up like 10 times. Thank you for this. I am using a NX plate kit on my 83" Caprice wagon (the one in the AVI). I have the kit set up on a stand alone fuel supply under the hood. too. I need to do what you have done here. As it is now it is a 1 gallon fuel cell, electric fuel pump. The fuel goes from the tank to the pump then into the fuel side on the NX solenoid, no regulator, oopsie. So far it has been working okay. However, you nailed it in this video. I do have an issue with air pockets in the fuel line. I'd like to see a detailed diagram of how you have this set up. If its no trouble, please? Thanks again, Bill for the video's.
Thanks for sharing sir that little truck reminds me so much of mine back when I was doing all that I had the same little setup but in a Chevy Love out in Oklahoma City 383 for the fogger and a 250 cheater plate system can talk about a handful in a 2200 lb truck I'll have a good night buddy take care
love your videos they are helping me and my son on our first drag car. We am currently building a small block chevy nitrous motor. I would like to see a video about reading plugs on nitrous. thanks for the videos.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Wish you would comment on switching from race fuel vs ethanol vs methanol water injection kit. Pros and cons. So many people push ethanol as next best thing since slice bread, but you guys stopped using it? Would like to hear your comments.
That was a good session it actually answered a few questions that I had. But I was still waiting for you to say someone shut that dog the hell up LOL LOL .
Best video yet! Great explanation and why. Learn from experience. Can u possibly explain what the diff between fogger and plate or what may be? When I get chance one day I believe I will be able to at least not be embarrassed bc of what your showing
Dont forget to get that thing legal. 🤣 Just playing man great video, and from one father to another your a great dad. Good luck out there. Keep it between the ditches.

Great video. Most people have no idea you need to do this for the nitrous system to work properly
I could listen to this guy all day with tech tips on anything racing related..hope the channel takes off man..
Just a quick tip:
You now have multiple bypasses in that fuel system because your pump (if it's like the old Holley Blue, Black, Red, etc.) has it's own internal bypass that's (supposed to be) set at 15 PSI.
PS:
I HATE pulsing nitrous solenoids!!

#1 Got Gap-TiZed Name for Billy's Truck we all wanna see it #2 Thanks for the great Info in Tommy's Fuel and Nos System great stuff
Honestamente Man... Great Job.. I enjoy th e talk. Good to Learn.

Wow Bill, now we know why you guys are on top of your game, great tech info, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Wish you would comment on switching from race fuel vs ethanol vs methanol water injection kit. Pros and cons. So many people push ethanol as next best thing since slice bread, but you guys stopped using it? Would like to hear your comments.
