  • In this episode we return to Australia for more boat works. We start the long awaited bathroom upgrade project. We build a toilet base and a shelf to return stiffness to the boat. We want to extend the head room with more space aft for a stand-in shower.
Wilda is a Schionning Wilderness 1340 sailing catamaran. She is being finished in a shed outside Melbourne. Wilda will be powered by the Sun, the Wind and the Sea...
This youtube channel is our way of sharing this project with friends, family and those interested in our adventure of building her and getting her into the water!
We are newbies to filming and video editing, but learning as we go.
We appreciate your kind and/or constructive comments, suggestions and feedback and we'd be happy to see that you like, subscribe and share our videos! Thank you!

Making changes to the plans - I know that well. Building a boat gives you plenty of thinking time to see ways of improving and modifying what the designer thought looked or worked the best way. And changing them almost always means more time. But it’s worth it. You’ll have things just how you like them.
When I built my boat I was going to send the designer some photos when I finished, but in the end decided not to since it almost looked like a different boat! Same centre hull, but many other things changed slightly, or a lot, including negative bows on the amas, redesigned coachroof, winch layout, cockpit, forward hatch, transom, cabin window shape... I have a feeling he wouldn’t have been too impressed. Lol - thanks for the plans, now I’ll go and change everything! I think in building a boat you get to know every nuance better than the designer does sitting in front of his computer, and there’s often more ways than one to do things.

Actually, with the exception of the great big hole in the bulkhead, (to add the shower) we're probably closer to the original design than when we first started out.
Now looking forward to bolting and plumbing and electrics.

You lied, you told us no more sanding inside the boat 😂🤣. I never believed you…😂. Nice bathroom now

🤭 Indeed, we didn’t believe it either! But sometimes you have to lie to yourself to be able to keep going 💪🏻
      Thanks, we’re slowly getting there!

I like that you are open with your mistakes. It will be much easier to have a dry head.

Nice work! What was that banding noise on back ground?

I think it was probably little branches hitting the roof of the shed. When it's windy, the shed gets quite loud 🤣

Can any of you speak Malay ???

We cannot speak bahasa fluently, but we can definitely order makan (food) and get around with some very basic words. Looking forward to improving it when we go sailing ⛵️ into Malaysian/ Indo waters

Music wasn't as distracting as in past videos.
    Digging the build.
Narration of what you're doing, goes a long way.
    Really don't need the,
    "Wooo, oooo".
