Lovely voice and he is treating it like his instrument to tell a story. Looks like he will enjoy a career in opera. Very enjoyable to watch someone who is just loving performance.
Beautiful lyrical bel canto, which is very rare especially from tenor! The voice flows beautifully, owns a wonderful tone. I hope to hear it a lot in the future! :))
@@sauronbaggins1833 something in his way of singing is not totally correct. His sounds is as he had something stucked in his throat, although not completely "ingolato". I wouldn't know exactly what it is.
mostly in control? he sings it better than every operatic tenor I have heard, the control is sublime, I love Juan Diego Florez, but even he cannot sing the top notes without some level of strain...
It was a good performance. I don't really like the way he sings it - it is a bit too falsettoish for my taste, but ironically, it's probably more in the style Rossini intended!
Not quite. This is how the tenors sang it in rossini's day. It wasn't until later that the high chest voice techniques were developed and pioneered by people like Caruso and others
@@CamoflaugeDinosaue That's a myth. The truth is that we don't know. Text sources vary too much to paint a clear picture. Existing msnuscripts can be interpreted as to say what you say, but the can just as easily be interpreted in other ways. @@celibidache1000 Rossini was quoted as calling the tenor full voiced B and C as sounding like a dying chicken or something. Granted, well before certain techniques for singing that range were developed. But you can find many voice teachers from the 1850s onward who fully expect tenors to use falsettone as the contemporary music of the time was too high to maintain a full chest register.
Esibizione gradevole e corretta, però in teatro le note acute a parer mio, emesse così, risulteranno troppo bianche, quasi in falsettone. Oggi sono pochi nomi che cantano bene questo repertorio, però qui c'è ancora da fare secondo me per cantare in un teatro serio
His voice is a bit small. Needs to work on quality of voice. If I were him I certainly would not give up. He has good possibilities. Arnold Bourbon Amaral
Good? He is very very talented with wonderful musicality. The “size” of the voice is not the most important attribute but the timbre of the voice, the richness of the resonance and the beauty of the colours, furthermore the musicality, if someone sensitive enough to sing ( bel canto )or perhaps not. His voice is not small. The size of the voice is for only megalomaniac folks. Opera and bel canto requires much more and he has these properties already, He will improve a lot, even the power of the voice ( as the quality )can increase by time and experiences/practise naturally, without any forcing of the voice.
I don't know much about bel canto. Would you please explain why I think Lei's Ich baue gan reminds me of Max Cencic? Are they both have that mezzo soprano's some kind of quality? By the way, I think Lei voice is better in Ich baue gan range than this higher pitch. Thanks.
@@robertjschroff6307 Well, it is nice when you can hear the voice over a forte orchestra sound without the use of microphones. And, I'll say this, if he continues to use his voice in this way, he will have a very short career, unfortunately.
Kai Yan I don't see it. Has a nice voice that needs some work. Bartoli was well accomplished this young man's just starting. He will get better in time. Arnold Bourbon Amaral

do not deny him, at very least he is from the same place as you were, be proud, Jealousy will get your no where at all. He has the most beautiful lyric voice, redo your comments, there are many great male tenors you can write to be remind of, do not choose a female to be used for other purpose.
Is it just me or does he sound more like a woman rather than a 'true' operatic tenor? Sounds like he's singing mostly in head voice or even falsetto. Little to no connection with the chest voice and very nasal too. Shame to a beautiful instrument.
I have seen him in December last year in Zurich. He has such a great voice. I even took a photograph with him ;)
What a beautiful voice, shining warm silky smooth, looks fantastic handsome on operatic stages... Bravo!!!
Bravooo! Beautiful done and beautiful voice!👏🏻👏🏻❤️💯

Wow I love this voice
I think he does a pretty credible job. His accent is a bit suspect, but a nice clear tone.
Beautiful voice

that is not bel canto. c´mon...
Daniel Calfuan absolutely not. What the heck is wrong with opera today?. Is there a single MALE tenor out there that doesn’t sing like a woman?

Bravo from NY🎉🎉🎉
Very lyric, emotional, but mostly in control. There's a future there.

^ and I think Mingjie sings it with no strain on his voice, which is the ultimate goal
what a sweet sweet sound, wow!!!!
Amazing!
My word, this chyle can SANG!🤩

En verdad se necesita difundir esta grandiosa voz

¡Bellísimo! ¡Gracias!
Bella y clara voz!!
Just fabulous!
Stunning...🙏👑❤
Bellisima y emocionante voz.
O yea he has a lot of material. Very large registers without a glimps of difficulties. Let’s hope we listen/hear him back
Such a sweet, honeyed tone. Would be wholly convincing as a romantic hero
A first -rate voice so expressive!
Sung with great sensitivity and skill. Lovely lyric sound throughout range. Diction will improve. He can act too.
Handsome face plus handsome voice bravi 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Gentle but powerful. Amazing!

this a tenor role not a countertenor one, this is basically falsettone
Siii anche per me lui è un falsettone.

His voice is like the great Tenor Francisco Araiza.
Indeed
not even close... araiza has more power and deepness in his voice.. in my opinion is this nearly a countertenor.
I see what you meant. However his full voice is something close to Araiza's Mozart singing pianissimo
Lovely voice, but he is covering it, which is why the more complex coloratura is not quite there.
