    Thank you so much for this review!
    I'm building my first work/gaming computer, using a ryzen 5 3600 cpu which doesn't need a ton of cooling but came across a lot of people saying the stock cooler wasn't enough.
    I absolutely love the aesthetics and design of this cooler (I was really worried about memory clearances) and it's more than a 3600 needs but it's still nice future proofing if I upgrade later.

      @@doner6843 I have both this cooler and HyperX rgb ram. My mother board is an Asus x570 wi-fi pro, consequently I have the ability to use the Aura software to control and create different lighting effects which are quite impressive. How ever depending upon the position of the ddr slots even with height clearance for ram it's most likely only 3 sticks are visible with the 4th concealed by cooler overhang. Aura also allows you to control by temperature, how ever if your cooler is stable you are unlikely to see color variations.

    MasterAir MA620M - 52C for $150
    CM Hyper 212 RGB Black - 52C for $44
    AMD (CoolerMaster) Wraith Prism - 60C for $0

      I have it in my build it’s sick! However there is a design flaw. It’s wobbly so if you move your pc often it’s not a good choice outside of
      That it’s awesome. The fan being housed in such a thick cooler allows you to run it very high rpm with minimum noise since it’s muffled. I think that’s why CM build it this way. It’s also super easy to remove, only 2 screws.

    Hi. Great video!! Pretty clear and concise tutorial but I have a question. I installed this heatsink before finding your video and followed the instructions per Masterair MA620M manual for AM4 installation. When I went to secure the screw to the backplate, there seemed to have been a lot of wiggle room because the hole in the motherboard is slightly larger than the "J" screw that went through the back of the backplate. in your video, your screws used to secure the backplate seem farely snug against the motherboard. I am using an MSI X570s Ace Max motherboard. I turned the screw as much as I could but still was a gap between screw and motherboard. It matches how the manual drawing was too. I went ahead and attached the top support brackets and installed the heatsink. I tightened the 2 top screws on heatsink to support bracket. It seems to be secure. My question is, should there not have been any movement of backplate and support bracket before installing the heatsink?
    Or does the force of securing the two top heatsink screws push down on the support bracket to keep it from moving around? Let me know if I answered my own question? lol. Thanks.

    Good video - thanks. I just installed one of these on Intel. The back plate and mounting brackets were loose when installed, had a lot of play until mounting the heatsink itself to tighten everything up. I suppose it works, but it made me nervous - like there would be gaps between the CPU and heatsink. It's been a while since I built a PC - maybe this is the new style cooler or did I do something wrong?
    imo: the phrase "go ahead and" is never necessary - it's throwaway, stall phrase, like 'uh' and 'right'. People explaining things without a script tend to throw it in at random places. You can re-record this and just drop the phrase, don't change any other words, and the sentences would still be 100% correct and sound more succinct and authoritative.
    If you have any questions leave them in the comments below.

      @@thinkcomputers1 I just ordered this cooler because my liquid cooler died. I spent about a week having headache after headache thinking something with my cpu was wrong, or my power supply, found the mounting hardware for the stock cooler and slapped it on and luckily it worked, I was impressed with the performance of it. Thanks for the video.

    • @SuashMaharaj
      @SuashMaharaj 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use your motherboard to control the speed as it plugs into the 4 pin fan header. Those are PWM controlled and you can setup a fan curve in your BIOS if your motherboard supports it or via an app like speed fan.

      I think it can handle it well. It's better than the AMD Wraith prism (RGB) that is supplied with Ryzen 7 3800X, that can cool that, and the Ryzen 7 5800X doesn't consume a lot more power than that.

      easy, all the other competitors have two fans, 600rpm with 2 fans is going to give you better results with 1 fan at 600rpm, i think that's what most fans run at when CPU is idle. the reason why it performs good under load it's because the max rpm is 2000, i'm pretty sure the Noctua fans max rpm is 1600.
