That political cartoonist is very brave since he's facing a possible life sentence and humble in that he says he is just doing this because someone has to. And he would be betraying the future generation if he backed down now. Respect.
I hope the Muslims in Malaysia, instead of "Takdir" or "Tunggulah balasan drpd Allah", I hope you guys will change your mindset and reform the right way. Lets make a move, demonstrate economically and lets make history in PRU14.
jakmanxyom There are two types of people 1. The people who take initiative to make a change. 2. Those who believes in miracle and hope and lay their ass complaining about their situation.
well indonesia also was under regime for 32 years, but since reformation 1998 indoensian run democracy until now, if indoensia can do that so malaysia as well
IMO, the Malaysians MUST be informed about their FULL RIGHTS in voicing out their FREEDOM of SPEECH. What is PROGRESS if your heart and mind are LOCKED UP by the government? We are now in the 21st CENTURY and SEDITION ACT is way past and OVERDUE. Malaysian people DESERVED a better LAW that will promote, FREEDOM, HARMONY and PEACE without boundaries. And with that, WAKE UP Malaysian people!
I don't know why but it seems to me my country is going backwards. Why do we even have this sedition act? More than 50-70% of the people of Malaysia are now against the Najib administration. Well, I think if Malaysians want to have a better government, we have to either protest against this and may be charged with the sedition act or we should just wait till the next election and vote the best candidate for the country. I hope I won't be charged by the sedition act because of this. I'm just trying to fight for a better Malaysia and will choose the second option to avoid being charged.
Dear Malaysian mates, if you're still protecting the incumbent, please see what happen to South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore now. Never forget that these countries were once poorer than us and now they are all high income, developed, rich in human development countries. Malaysia still far behind them even after 58 years, why not change our mind for a chance of a better country? I hope we don't waste our next 58 years again.
+LE328 Can the majority of Malays willing to work for a better Malaysia instead of waiting for hand outs from the Government. This very dependency on the government means UMNO will continue to rule Malaysia.
If a party stays in power for too long, they become more and more corrupt because they know they can do whatever they want and still stay elected. If the opposition takes control, they will have to work hard to keep corruption to a minimum and to do good things for the people because they fear they can lose the power they have easily. This doesn't mean there will be zero corruption ever (impossible!) but it means there's the chance it will be less of a problem for a while.
I visited your country, i found it a beautiful place, please treat all your people equal and fair, i think with good faith and fairness that Malaysia could become a top tourism spot in asia.
Most of the people I met would certainly want to see Nurul izzah Anwar be the Prime Minister of this wonderful Nation in the near future for she has the intelligence , political concern for the well beings of the people of this country, and she has the right moral integrity to lead the people of this Nation.
You have started seeking truth. Don't stop and remember to always think for yourself. Come to your own conclusions. I would also recommend looking into your own country. Malaysia is very corrupt but they're also very open about it. Chances are your country is as corrupt. All governments are corrupt nowadays.
Interesting. So much for democracies while right wing dictatorships rise and populism is all the rage around the world. Other cases to name must a few are Turkey, Hungary, Poland, and very possibly America too. The recipe in Malaysia, Europe, America and so many others is nothing short of civil war disasters building up. And then we have the fiat currency debt based economics and the petrodollar based global economy. Malaysia touted itself as a moderate Muslim country of democracy and diversity. The Soul of Asia was the propaganda that tourists ate up. It's a beautiful country, but like most others, it's suffering severe fundamental issues. Perdition is never democratic, it's a real sign of dictatorship or oligarchy of neo-feudal state. Our world is changing into a beast and the future isn't what it used to be...
the only way hope for malaysia is to make sure that bn is no longer in control during the upcoming election. but if u ask me malaysia has no hope get out fast if u have the opportunity
To be called as a fair, non-bias & 'non- double standard' documentary, AJ must cover both sides, the pro & opposition side of stories & facts. However, as far as my naked eyes are concerned, there is ZERO, i repeat - ZERO - appearance of pro-government people or at least non-opposition people being interviewed by the host throughout this so-called 'good' documentary. The faces that the host had 'selectively' & 'carefully' choose are the normal faces that we all know by heart to be 'very the anti-government' and definitely all of their words are biased & partly true. My fellow Malaysians, i believe AJ, in this documentary (at least), showed us nothing other than PRO-Pakatan propaganda to generate hatred towards our government with bias and double standard view and words. Why not you try to interview and get another set of views from pro-gov side in order to be FAIR to all of the parties involved. Till then, you are just another non-reliable source of info.
Ah, Malaysia when the politics of envy endues. More than 50 years of "affirmative" action and still no equality for the others. How long does it take for the bumi to learn to stand on their own two feet without government support?
most other countries moving forward and developed their country meanwhile malaysia is going backward??please malaysia need to be fix before is going to wrong way
OMG why is this happening to my country now. O how I wished i could go back and fix the problem before it get worse but i have to finish my medical degree first. Such pain it is to see whenever there is an issue about my country...
This video easily we can knew that created to bring down the image of local government and local leader... is this we want? why cant the do protest in probe way? if upload a video like this in TH-cam for sure the entire world are looking at it... but there is not easy to bring down the government...
how much money these opposition leaders had paid you aljazeera? almost the whole video is allocated for opposition leaders to condemn the government, while only less than 2 minutes (when you interviewed Nur Jazlan) to answer all the allegations. there are certainly issues with ethical journalism here
Natasha MohdCould you share with us then what it is that was mentioned in this news report that is not true, and what actually do you believe is the real truth?
+Natasha Mohd We are very sad that Malaysia has been producing people of half wit like you. Waiting for free government hand outs results in people with no brain. A big sigh!
That political cartoonist is very brave since he's facing a possible life sentence and humble in that he says he is just doing this because someone has to. And he would be betraying the future generation if he backed down now. Respect.
Thankyou Aljazeera for being our voice when we are silenced against anything UMNO government is doing.
I hope the Muslims in Malaysia, instead of "Takdir" or "Tunggulah balasan drpd Allah", I hope you guys will change your mindset and reform the right way. Lets make a move, demonstrate economically and lets make history in PRU14.
JeevS GOne Well, we do have the saying "God will not [help?] change a whole people unless they change by themselves"...
jakmanxyom There are two types of people 1. The people who take initiative to make a change.
2. Those who believes in miracle and hope and lay their ass complaining about their situation.
JeevS GOne so which type are u...?
+JeevS GOne one more type...the type that depends on the government for hand outs and waiting for free durians to fall from the trees.
Lets vote for peace of Malaysia and unite to against corruption government..
well indonesia also was under regime for 32 years, but since reformation 1998 indoensian run democracy until now, if indoensia can do that so malaysia as well

John Yu.Thanh you are wrong, Not all malays like you mentioning.
How do you ensure that the opposition ruling will not end up corrupted draconian as the present government?

While it's fair for Eric Paulsen to state his opinion, he didn't use the best words in his tweet. He should've used much better choose of words.

+Natasha Mohd don't be so dumb. This is Al-Jazeera. They cannot be paid to spread fake news like RTM or TV3 by the corrupted government.
