Your video on Gambheeranaatta is really gambheeram .
“Raksha maam sharanaagatham “ is a song popularised by Chembai Vaidyanathan bgagavathar and that song is in Gambheeranatta. When he used to sing that song in concerts, there arose musical pyrotechnics resembling either firework in festival place or the march of an army in large numbers. It was my mother who told me that Chembai said during a concert that the raga suits for the high decibel war movements. My mother was a devout admirer of Chembai and she had sung in front of him on a few occasions and won his encouragement.
Your video is so good and awesome that I am at loss of words while expressing my appreciation for it.
Why is it that sometimes I feel traces of Amruthavarshini while people sing Gambheera natta?

Thank you so much for the detailed comment (as always). Chembai was one of the few malayalam carnatic singers who made his mark in the South INdian music arena which is otherwise dominated by Tamilians.
On to your other question, the two ragas Amruthavarshini and GambheeraNaatta are different just by one note. Amruthavarshini has M2, GambheeraNaatta has M1. So when someone sings the notes S, G3, N3 and P without any Madhyamam, the listeners might get confused. I didn't mention this in the video since Amruthavarshini doesn't belong to the Naatta family. But thank you for pointing this out!!

Awesome Deepu. First time listening about Ghambeera Natta and the differences between Ghambheeranatta and Savithri raga. Your Ragalapana of Ghambeeranatta. No words. Brilliant. Proud of you Deepu. God bless🙏
