You should do one live, in a club, but you give your reasons for why you do what you do during the set (why you cut the bass out, why you decided to use an accapella, why you might have gone from one genre to another etc). Laidback Luke done one and it's class!
Why do you skip back / fwd 32 beats? Is this just to move to a specific part of the track that mixes better with the track on the other deck? Great tutorial
@@brianheneghan-rp3ss Great question, and yes you are right. I use beat jump to ensure that the phrases of both tracks align. For example, I want the breakdowns on both tracks to happen at the same time. Same applies to the drops. Beat jump is a great way of doing that.
@ To be honest, I didn’t plan this set. I use beat jump on the fly by glancing at the full waveforms on the screen and then deciding roughly how many 32 beat increments I need to jump backwards or forwards. This does take time to learn and get a feel for, but with some practice it becomes second nature. Beat jump is indispensable to me now!
Just goes to show its not what you use, its how you use it. 🙌
Absolutely pure class and another master class in DJing
@@sidwallace6053 Big up Sid!
