I honestly think that space battles are perfect, ground battles should be reworked now, I stopped playing gc because a freaking infantry platoon or those plex soldiers can take out 4 AT STs in no time... Man, the vanilla ground battles are so unrealistic
Ah just spam a billion ground units and auto resolve. Its ridiculous how much you loose in auto resolve but its still better than having to play through it.
Still really not sold on the Mass Effect music in the load screens. It's Star Wars, there's just that certain type of Hans Zimmerian orchestral music you expect to come from it.
It instills a sense of wonder and optimism rather than heavy intensity, i.e. "Am I going to win this battle or have my ass handed to me through my mouth?" Although, if you're playing as the First Galactic Empire, you should have no qualms about entering any battle and should be certain of victory no matter the terms of engagement. Glory to the Empire.
Personally, I fucking love it. It’s a nice tune, and most importantly it provides a nice reprieve from all the action and sometimes dramatic music. It’s gives nice little “calm before the storm” element that I would sorely miss if it were removed tbh

Chris they have patches to compress the textures- overall the game engine is the same so you don't need any top of the line hardware, shaders, particles, textures, and scripts are going to be where most of your memory and processing is allocated- if you've got a decent vid card, and like 8gb of ram you should be fine (assuming your CPU isn't a decade old)
A question, I have the steam workshop version downloaded and I also want upgrade it with patch 0.95.... what do I need to do? you said I had to install 0.90 from modDB and upgrade it there with shortcuts... but can you upgrade it just using the content of the steam workshop?
The death star has been made and there is a video about it. When the GC space maps are redone to be fully compatible with it, you will get your death star. Right now you can only use it with the discord dev build that is available but its buggy on most space maps. Ive noticed its fine on Bestine and Bespin.
I'm surprised that the Lucrehulk doesn't have a swarm of fighters, if I'm not wrong a single of these ships can transport enought men and equipment to invade an entire planet.

As close as we're going to get to an EAW 2. You do amazing work and thanks for giving me another mod to play with though if I had one criticism of your mod (that I do for every EAW mod) is the damage to ships. In other words, you know how in the base game when you really did damage toa ship it would get all chunky? Yeah, you need that in your mod too. I wonder why nobody has done it though. Oh well, I'm still gonna play this though
Alexane Rose because these mods are free and they are done on the developer's own time. He's still got real life he's gotta deal with. However, I wouldn't be opposed to the devs of this mod hitting up petroglyph/Lucasarts and maybe asking for permission to make a crowdfunded EAW 2- that'd be pretty sweet.

Yes. There is a gc overhaul underway, many new updates and even a new faction. Thats why you dont have everything you see in the vids. He uses dev builds
Wonder why the Lucrehulk is just shoting at crafts, for what i see in game their weapons range is really poor made and for some of others ships too, do not shot if you tell them to stop or moving

Secondly, never save over old saves. Bad integers carry over, corrupting newly saved games. Third step, you’ll need more help, you can join the discord server here for this step: discord.gg/QR4TVTh
Sav Sal I'm assuming that's part of the latest patch. I can't seem to get that thing working. My Purifier still only costs 25 population and my population is 40 instead of 50
As the mod creator, his videos show new things before they are added into a public version of the mod. Right now the latest version is the 0.9 version on moddb + the 0.95 version patch. You can get experimental buggy dev builds on the mod's discord though
It's a great mod, shame it crashes so frequently for some reason even with the latest patch. Would still recommend it though since it's fantastic when it does work.
Those are the Victory class Star Destroyers. the flaps cover all the rocket launchers if I recall correctly. It's just that in vanilla EaW they seem to not have cared about the rocket thing and just made the Victory class a stronger Acclamator.
supposedly these flaps are also mostly fanfiction, since i've heard that there is no comics or books that prove victory class destroyer had these flaps.
That ship is a Victory I class SD which had a large amount of rockets, the Victory II class had them removed for more Turbolasers and such, that's what we see in vanilla

You can have Arc-170s and Venators/Vigilators, as well as the Lucrehulk. Just give the Consortium some old CIS tech and boom you have your Clone War.

I think it's because the first ship Thrawn commanded was a Victory class, Pretty sure he 'upgrades' to an Imperial class

I tried both the steam and gog version with this mod and they both suffer from massive fps drops
If you are suffering from FPS drops you can install the 1k textures to icnrase performance. If you still have issues turn down your settings
Make sure you applied the 4gb patch to your original swfoc.exe (the gog version) that should help

As close as we're going to get to an EAW 2. You do amazing work and thanks for giving me another mod to play with though if I had one criticism of your mod (that I do for every EAW mod) is the damage to ships. In other words, you know how in the base game when you really did damage toa ship it would get all chunky? Yeah, you need that in your mod too. I wonder why nobody has done it though.

Yes. There is a gc overhaul underway, many new updates and even a new faction. Thats why you dont have everything you see in the vids. He uses dev builds
Wonder why the Lucrehulk is just shoting at crafts, for what i see in game their weapons range is really poor made and for some of others ships too, do not shot if you tell them to stop or moving

most likely yes. If the menu is still the one the base game has you didnt open the mod.

Gamer.netLP Depends which verison you have, on steam it can be changed in the priorities of the game, in languages.
Edit the properties of the shortcut to the following:
"D:\GOGGames\Star Wars - Empire At War Gold\EAWX\swfoc.exe" LANGUAGE=ENGLISH
of course change the directory to the correct one.
Why is thrawn in a victory
It's the first ship Thrawn commanded for the Empire, later he'll get an Imperial with the 'upgrade' thing that they have in it
Strikefast will be the ship he shall command until you buy the upgrade to Admonitor.

Overwrite all. Secondly, never save over old saves. Bad integers carry over, corrupting newly saved games. Third step, you’ll need more help, you can join the discord server here for this step: discord.gg/QR4TVTh

As the mod creator, his videos show new things before they are added into a public version of the mod. Right now the latest version is the 0.9 version on moddb + the 0.95 version patch. You can get experimental buggy dev builds on the mod's discord though

It's a great mod, shame it crashes so frequently for some reason even with the latest patch. Would still recommend it though since it's fantastic when it does work.

Those are the Victory class Star Destroyers. the flaps cover all the rocket launchers if I recall correctly. It's just that in vanilla EaW they seem to not have cared about the rocket thing and just made the Victory class a stronger Acclamator.
supposedly these flaps are also mostly fanfiction, since i've heard that there is no comics or books that prove victory class destroyer had these flaps.

That ship is a Victory I class SD which had a large amount of rockets, the Victory II class had them removed for more Turbolasers and such, that's what we see in vanilla
