Little things can change our lives, can't they? You may not believe this but I don't care, I just feel like I need to say it. This interview has changed my life and those of quite a lot of people around me. I work in a volunteer organization and the concept of growing 10x instead of 10% has changed the views of a lot of people around here, and I have started applying it to my personal life as well, transforming our way of view: if not for this exercise, we would never have seen some of the things we could do to change our environment. So thank you so much, both to Tim for giving the interview and to the guys at Barbell Shrugged, for bringing me this.
I could go on and on about how much Tim Ferriss has impacted my life, how I approach things, etc., but I'm not going to. I came here for Tim Ferriss, unaware of Barbell Shrugged. But I must say, the interviewers were fascinating as well, asking great questions. And I absolutely loved how it was shot in a single take. I'm a huge fan of handheld camera work. The filming aspect, in addition to the excellent content, makes this stand out from other video interviews. Great job all around!
This episode was loaded with nuggets of information. Thank you Barbell Business and as always Tim Ferris, you have added more leverage to my drive with your words of wisdom and knowledge.
This is so brilliant ... asking his customers "are you going to feel any pressure to earn this money back in the next xx time?"; if their answer is "yes", then they are not eligible to attend his very high-price seminar! His point: Not to have his customer to have the pressure of incurring a debt because of going to his seminar (or to even thinking about scraping up the money to pay for the seminar, hence creating a certain kind of mentality) ... it adds stress to the customer's life, and it adds stress to his life. (40:16)
Hey guys! Love this interview with Tim Ferriss. He is such an incredible resource for all things productivity. Quick question. What headphones are you guys using in this video? The sound is so clear!
Fuck yeah he said Florianópolis! It's where I live! Actually I saw him once here but I didn't have the opportunity to be a douche and bother him while he was sipping a coffee =(
It's really interesting that Tim Ferriss hate's his own voice. I think we all judge our own voice as being bad, but I personally think he has a great voice!
Can anyone identify this person being referenced at 32:27? I wish there is a TH-cam transcript option for this vid. I wonder why there isn't one, or why the uploader turn the feature off for the viewers.
+ExtraordinaryLiving Oh, okay, it is Nassim Nicholas Taleb, author of "The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable". I've answered my own question, ha!
wait hedge fund managers make 200 million a year? wow. so with the salary of just a few all americans can be making a million bucks a year? holy shitballs.
The camera work, moves around too much all over the place. It's a very good interview though. Just listen without looking at the screen or download the podcast.
Feels like these guys are trying hard to desensitize themselves on some cyclical basis. Shit/great/mundane things [life] happen but I am willing to pay attention (or even can notice) next Tuesday. Would not it piss their unsynchronized environment off? Priorities = stream of sorries.
Questioning your leaderships statements. A powerful way to see if your leader is strong within themselves.
Thank you to Tim Ferris for sharing this.
Tim Ferriss is such an articulate, clear and engaging communicator. Be great to have more interviews with him...
There's literally hundreds everywhere on the web, over a long timeline.
By far one of the best podcasts, ever. This was fantastic.

What camera did you guys use to shoot this episode?
I wonder what Tim's notion is on hiring employees who are entreprenuerial driven vs being a great worker?
Unbelievable that they got the website wrong!
Anyone have a link to the interview with peter .... mentioned at 43:15?

I can't tell if this guy is for real
Somebody close that fucking cabinet
apple5134 I think the cabinet door is open to block some incoming light. They didn't want him to be too back lit. Just a guess. Peace
This video is incredibly painful to watch. Headache begins at 2:34...
