Neil Strauss is such a great listener...He's very balanced and focused. I love his approach to writing!
I could listen to these two for all day, not a problem at all.
Neil Strauss is an excellent writer. Keeps you engaged. "The Game" was superbly written
Man, read some classics please. Neal strauss is good, all right, but superbly written is a massive overstatement.
Adamo Leoni can you recommend some classics?
"Writing is thinking on Paper" The process of writing is the fastest way to improve your thinking.
Possibly the best TH-cam video I've seen all year. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with this budding author/surgeon.
Amazing insight into the minds of these two...they are pretty much applying the "Lean-Startup" module of business to thinking/writing.
Fantastic interview! I learned so much and was entertained the whole way through. I really enjoyed seeing the guy get to drink a beer with Neil and Tim!
Amazing interview! Tim Ferriss is like a machine of advice and sources. Neil Strauss is very informative and strategic in the way he teaches everything.
So glad you liked it! Thanks for watching.
Both of these guy’s books changed my life and made me a better person. Thank you!
tim's energy is something else
I come back to this interview a lot, so much insight brought in a fun way...not only applicable to writing.
Mr Strauss has no idea how much his book changed my life in a big way. Salute.
Love this talk these guys are legends! Very insightful and entertaining.
two of my favorite authors. so cool to watch you guys hang out and talk about writing, something im now getting very passionate about.
I feel the need to keep coming to back to this video. It contains too much goodies that you just can't fully absorb and internalise in one sitting.
Same.
The game is one of the best books I've ever read.
This calls for repeats. I so loved the "nurturing", it's enabling...
Phenomenal conversation from two amazing writers. So insightful
Tim is weird on this one. I love it!
I'd be excited if I was Tim Ferriss, too.
that tk thing is awesome. I needed a good way to do that :)
Alchemistic Academician I cant believe this only got two likes. This tk hack is awesome but you can also use characters like ampersand & etc....
Loved the interview! I'm in the process of writing an ebook and this will help a LOT. Thanks.
Great video, great advices, great peoples. Keep on rocking Tim/Neil and creativelive!
Two powerhouses right here
Wow! This was absolutely amazing!
I would appreciate a full, decent length, endless conversation with TF². First of my paid $ubscriptions.Well worth it!
Thank You! So much value!
Throughly inspired listening to these two.
OMG Tim Ferris and Neil Strauss
The Voice of the Internet sounds like a great idea for a series
Amazing amazing amazing!
Great talk
Thanks for letting us know Phillip!
did you notice how at the end, Tim and Neil were battling to get the last word? It was a battle of "frames", check it out.
insightful, fantastic!
My favorite part of this interview was watching Tim die from laughter after Neil talks about eating to failure. Lmao, these guys are hysterical. Such great usable content in this by the way. Thank you!
Truly engaging.....awesome guys. Just finishing "Tools for Titans" Tim - absolutely loving it. Think it will be my bible for a long time yet. Any recommendations for the next MUST read?
It was interesting. Thanks
Awesome
Great content - intense but that's why they are where they are.
They may have covered every fucking thing about writing here. Saves me time; my insecurity was prepared to listen to people talk about writing all day instead of writing, myself. Fuck yes!
Anybody knows the name of the program that Tim talks about, writing his drafts? It's around 35:24. Thanks alot
Brilliant
Ugly wrinkled shirt - best analogy I've heard in a long time..!!
7 best sellers..... nuff said!!
Does anyone remember the letters they use as a placeholder? I remember it being two letters that were easy to search for.
I definitely with be checking out 4 hour guru Tim Ferriss and PUA meister Neil Strauss AKA Style.
Not sure which one you're looking for, but here's what he listed. Evernote, Scrivener, Dropbox, Screenflow, Basecamp
YAY Cory!
Great watching two ideas men letting their ideas fountain bubble over.
I am really glad I got to set in on these AWESOME Interviews, so much to learn .
Thanks Steve Harrison for the invitation.
Can a website or online magazine replace a book? I feel like a website is such a good medium to transfer information like the one Neil and Tim give but can they make the earnings they make from books. The main problem with everything I see online is that is a draft of a book or a half-ass attempt at a book. Nobody takes the time to do a well research full of info website that they sell as whole. I understand people are used to getting a lot for free on websites but would people pay for access to well research information? Does another system of revenue (not advertising) work? Does anybody have any examples of this?
Please interview Michael Lewis!
lots of lifehacks in here. :)
What is Tim Ferris saying about Eminem? Can someone tell me please?
Dam yall!! You're great but slow down!! Tim, you're as fast talking as Neil! I sped-up my ears to max. Your assignment for 2018: SLOW DOWN YALL!!! (Great conversation - Thanks)
Found it - It's called Scrivener and not Screweneur ;)
22:55 "tk"
THIS IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR YESS! WRITING A BOOK! Thanks!
did anyone else have a beer when they did?
Neil's last message coudn't have ended it better. Warren Buffet, the world's 3rd richest man said he if he could start his life over he would have rather chosen to strive for happiness than riches.
Dropbox is cool for sharing, but use GOBBLER for bigger files (ex: +50 pages pdfs) ---> quicker, faster and more secure! believe me ;)
Great tip. Thanks for watching!
I'm a big fan of both but does anyone else find that Ferris keeps interrupting?
Why can't Tim Ferriss interview everybody?
I am surprised a super genius as Tim couldn't recall 8 mile or....was he testing us? *cue Twilight Zone music*
Actualy, the answer for the last question of Neil - "If in the future, a writter can have a designer and a programmer to build an immersive experience.. blablabla" - i believe, is simple, this immersive experience you are looking for lies in the Games Industry.
Adalicio Junior or it's called the Movies lol
Sorry, but doesn't Tim Ferris have a fairly amazing face? Such a great face. We get distracted by his brains and forget that he is....gorgeous.
WHY did he invited Neil Strauss and theres no water on the table, so ruuuuuuuude
isn't he always?
Who has read 4 Hour Work Week and went to make a ton of money with little effort?
Tim, I love your work; read all of your books, I-tunes, Friday emails, etc. Request-- Try saying devil dammit instead of goddammit and see if it makes your feel as good deep down inside
I recomend one thing that will accererate the speed of your learning..just write or copy paste to the youtube search box:
"Who owns the database of your life"
is tim a little over-excited?
I would be too If I were Tim
change is hard... ever try to bend a coin?
wow be like Eminem in writing!
first person whom word crashed :) I have newer seen crashed word :) never
Tim Ferriss needs interview technique. Tim come on over to IdalisMedia we will hook you up. Nice effort..Neil needs to really slow down in his talking he is almost well, I can barely understand what he is saying..its almost like they sped up the audio on this video..or he is speaking after inhaling a helium balloon.
why are they in a gym?
is it irony?
because its somewhere writers have never been
what makes sense is you probably cant get 135 up
fucking puss
Was it something I said?... Superficial is your comment full of weird venom. Why does youtube do that to decent people? I haven't done anything to you, the comment was to Tim, are you sleeping with him? is that why you so fiercely protect him? Really, you don't know me, its a bit odd you're getting so upset.. very odd indeed. misplaced anger dude. its not that deep. its youtube lighten up, its a community. Don't stick anything up anyone's ass here. and I am entitled to my opinion.
Scrivener.
Is Tim high in this video
nah, it was a battle. Watch carefully.
is tim on coke? lol
maybe some nootropics
I'm guessing he's nervous because he looks up to Neil
Tim needs to slow down on that coke lol
tommytkd33
or nootropics
classic stylemogging
Their hair has forsaken them!
So basically Neil Strauss is undercutting his competing authors... not very inspiring. This isn't a sustainable strategy anyways.
who's here in 2023
Tim d tool ferris - he better make his own talk show & his guest is himself - he can't stop talking!
Oh, this is an interview? (Smiley)
scribd
are they making fun of programmers? this is silly, why programmer have to be a copy of some extravertic person who like to sell MLM stuff like those guys. If you like to motivate people ok if you make business like this ok, but don't make onther peple miserable because they are not a copy od your ego.
Nobody likes Bouncers? Strange mentality that, maybe USA differs, Bouncers in England can't move for getting laid...
Tim Ferriss has a huge ego. He keeps interrupting Neil for irelavent things like "no, he doesn't mean like stakes to kill a vampire" we know Tim lol. Kind of annoying but i'm sure he's a good person. Everyone is a good person deep down inside.
Tell that to the drone-maniac US president.
Frank Jacobs Their friends.. how do you talk to your friend when you are excited...
yeah, can tell Tim Ferris really admires him too.
birds of a feather, in this case, two con-artists
"cause they're human and they're greedy"... really?. that awas his side remark he's twitchy, annoying and does a lot of work because he cant sit still but.... after he lucked out with his supplement he basically has been making money by telling people how to make money with his cheesy basic books he earned the info on google. he should write a book about writing a book and people would buy it
oh, and he shouldn't be giving talks on writing..... he published books, thats not writing
he's that guy at the bar you finish you're drink and make sure your girlfriends are safe and sneak out
Tim Ferriss doesn't know how to shut up! I came here to listen to Neil, & not to give a damn onTim insights.
These guys are insufferable. Tim, stop laughing at your own non-jokes.
