    Just looked at one in person. It's pretty impressive. Feels much higher quality than the last model. The touch screen is really good, and because they have actually bothered to keep knobs for the volume and temperature, it's not always required to touch it. Someone finally decided to put the start/stop button where a key used to go on the RHS of the steering wheel... brilliant, the left hand side is bulk annoying on most cars. No stupid annoying kick-down switch on the accelerator pedal, which is another annoyance of mine on somthing when WOT can be read of the TPS. Built in trailer brake controler is great. Dissapointlingly no 230v outlets that I could see.
    The front end styling does "look tough", but somehow looks overdone between the top and bottom half. Also, the squared off front must seriously of runined aero dynamics compared to the last model front, and also reduced visability beyond the bonnet all in the name of looks.
    Overall, it should be a great vehicle.

    • @WebbyOnCars
      @WebbyOnCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Zoltrix77 I agree with all of that! It’s such an impressive car all round!

      I can guarantee you that a 230v will be an option. Probably just not optioned on this truck.
      I have a 21' Ranger which I really like, but the inside of this truck is much nicer.

    Great Review, showed the whole vehicle and many of the features from a common sense viewpoint, i.e. what works and what doesn't. The larger screen looks good compared the the previous model. The inclusion of the trailer brake is a great option as many of the ranger owner are towing caravans. Would appreciate if you could comment in a future review on where accessories such as driving light switches and a UHF radio outlet can be fitted to the Ranger and the new Everest, this seem to have been forgotten by the Ford Engineers. On my current Ranger PX3 I had to fit a Lightforce panel were the USB and 12V sockets are in the centre console. Overall very good review and looking forward to more in the future.

    Great review Webby. You have given a very good explanation of the car in particularly for somebody like me who is thus far a non Ford owner but can be tempted is the vehicle is what I want. Of particular note the angle of the entertainment unit which is relatively upright reducing the chances of sun glare restricting view of that screen which I found is the case on some of the other brand current models is a problem. The action of the transmission shifter of returning to park when left out of that position when you turn the engine off is very clever and would have to be explained to all new owners otherwise the dealers will be bombarded with please explain calls from customers who do not read their vehicle manual and that would be most of us I reckon.. My local dealer has advertised come and see day for new Ranger this Saturday and I will be now doing so as your very comprehensive revue had made me aware of what the vehicle has re equipment and I have to say I am impressed. Note I would be a 1st time Ford buyer if I pull the trigger but your revue may help change that.

      @Ken Lowdon Thank you for your great feedback, I’m glad my video has helped in your decision making process. I’m sure you’ll be impressed once you see the new Ranger and again when you drive it.
      With new technology coming out all the time customers often contact me after delivery as they’ve forgotten how to work something.
      I’ll be making some more videos on how to use some of the features on the new Ranger like the sync4 infotainment system.
      If there’s anything you’d like a video about let me know and I’ll see what I can do

    Hello Webby, I am so happy to find your TH-cam channel.
    I am disgusted with the way Ford has drip fed the people purchasing the Next gen Ranger.
    The old Ford site was really good for adding extras to the build.
    I have spent the best part of 18 months moving the company I work for from Triton to Rangers.
    It has been very hard to spec a XLT cab chassis with up grades though a car broker when the dealers have no idea what
    extra options are available for the Ranger.
    Ford should have had there Web site ready for the public when we could place orders.
    I will be receiving our first company XLT cab chassis in September. (Yes its mine)
    I have forward all of you videos to my Techs through out Australia that will be receiving Next gen Rangers.
    Keep up the great work, your attention to detail is great.
    Looking forward to the touch screen video.
    Thank you.

      @Darren O'Brien Thank you for watching my video, and also sharing it with all your employees. It's great to hear that you're switching your fleet of vehicles over to Rangers!
      Unfortunately, Ford haven't managed the launch of the new Ranger very well at all, which is very frustrating for everyone, including us that work at dealerships.
      I'm currently working on the other videos for the new Ranger so hopefully they will be out quite soon.

    I’m driving this car and the only thing that has me concerned is the lack of tachometer in the display. I purchased the car specifically for towing the caravan and would like to see engine RPM and select gears as required to get maximum torque towing uphill. Please advise if there is a setup procedure for displaying the tachometer. Enjoying your presentation.Cheers .

    • @WebbyOnCars
      @WebbyOnCars  ปีที่แล้ว

      @gregorywilson8445 Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You can add a rev counter to the driver display by accessing the settings on the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.
      Press the menu button, then scroll down to 'settings' then you will see options to choose what you want displayed on the left and right side of the drivers display.
      Hope this helps.

    I had a 2018 3.2 auto wildtrak for 185k and it never missed a beat, towed, off road, just flogged it and it was great, the only thing I didn't like was just how bloody slow it was.

    It seems that Ford have given a lot of thought in designing this model. The only thing that gives it away as American input is the gear selector indicator being set for left hand drive. I would imagine that threes a full size spare and the only thing I would have liked to hear a comment on was the rear seat backrest - whether you felt it was too upright or allowed you to lean back.

    • @WebbyOnCars

    Thanks for your review/run through of this ranger. Yes there are items you missed as others have mentioned in the comments but that is ok. There is a lot in the new ute/truck. I am looking forward to your detailed review of the infotainment display. I am very keen to purchase either a wild track or a sport. All depends on the info being supplied about the product. Ford website seems to be hopeless for this info, not even a matrix comparison between models....Very hard to put down a deposit if not knowing what the product is, in detail, like I can currently do with every other manufacture in this segment. Hi Paul, thanks for the in depth review. Is this an Australian spec model? Does it have rear disc brakes and does it run with Adblue? Thanks for the info, best review I’ve seen yet!👍

      @Darren Morgan Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Yes this is an Australian spec model. Rear disc brakes are standard on XLT models and above. Adblue isn’t needed in any of the ranger models. More videos coming soon by the way

      @Trickster I didn’t really check it to be honest. I’ll look into that when I get to spend a bit more time with the car

    Hi Paul, do you think in the future they will offer a sunroof?
    Or will it be like the old for ranger and not offer one at all.

      @K G I’d love it if they did, but I don’t think they will unfortunately.

    Thanks for the review. Fantastic video. One question has Ford added cooled and heated seats to the Ranger sport?

    • @WebbyOnCars
      @WebbyOnCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @John Coetzer Unfortunately not. Heated seats are standard only on the Wildtrak. Ventilated seats aren’t on any of the Ranger models.

      @@WebbyOnCars Thanks for the reply. I think these UTES are awesome and I have ordered one. I know we can start and run the vehicle while locked so you could warm it or cool it before getting in. So it’s not a game changer but definitely something Ford should have looked at to complete the package as they have perfected everything else.
      I have had Toyota Prado’s for years now but price and towing capacity has made me look away. HELLO FORD!

    You guys got the V6 turbo diesel? The only V6 that my country will probably got is the one that is on the Ranger Raptor but it runs on petrol, which not a lot of people here would prefer when it comes to pickup trucks, no instant torque from the petrol engine.

    • @WebbyOnCars
      @WebbyOnCars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Nicholas Chen yes we get the V6 diesel here in Australia. The engine in the Raptor will have more than enough power although it will like a drink!
