What's your opinion abouth this power amp in comparison with similar from other companies? Do you think some other preamp would be better for combination?

I think it is an awesome amp. No idea how a modern high end preamp might sound with it only because I have not done it but I have no reason to suspect it would not work.
However, this HK preamp is it’s natural partner so why reinvent the wheel? I would simply enjoy them as a combo and call it a day.
