my saab Aero convertible going in for rear ones on Monday - back of car gets filthy on motorway 🛣 found some pre drilled galvanised strip to make bracket - 18mm thick can be bent into shape with grips

I want to install these on my OBXT. I was thinking of making a template using a transparent thin paper to mark the exact location of the screws to avoid making mistakes when drilling..
That's a great idea Mike. i recently watched a video by @Bad Chad where he did something like that with paper 👍
The way this guy uses a drill triggers my OCD.
instead of drilling the hole, I recommend using M3 double side tape "Super Hold".

Looks great!!! I just got a set of polyblend mud flaps with custom STI decals.
Do you, or anyone here know if you can clear coat polyblend plastic? I want to preserve the overall quality of the decals for as long as possible
Sounds awesome.. i'm not sure about the clear coat, but i can ask Ryan tomorrow. Part of me thinks a clear won't adhere enough, but Ryan will know
@@milsgarage Thank you, I appreciate it!! They’re rigid and porous, similar to the universal set from your video. I’m most likely going to dip them in DiamondFinish Clear due to that product’s flexibility and durability. Hoping for the best, and looking forward to Ryan’s advice!!

Sorry, Ryan hasn't gotten back to me about painting them.. There's a part where you'll end up cutting, and i'd recommend testing on that cut piece before applying to the rest
How close to the ground should I adjust my mudflaps? Mine just arrived today
That's a personal preference. i believe Ryan's scraped slightly when he went over bumps, so we adjusted it upwards a little, but not much
would it be possible to do this if I just had a regular pump jack made for a car to change a tire
Yes. It will take a little more time and energy, but i'm certain you can install these without a lift 👍
@@milsgarage just found out I won't need to take the tires off since my car already has mounting stuff and theres lots of space between the wheel and the car its a suv

I bought the UR flaps. Cut mine for a better fit. Yours hang way lower than mine though. Hope you guys have nice roads lol
lol the roads in Delaware are hit or miss.. Better than NY 😂 Are you running lowered?

dimitrus valentin the wheels are xxr 527, 17x8.25 +35 offset and the tires are 215/40/17

Please never wear gloves whyle drilling...
In case people don't understand why you say this: If you wear gloves with a drill press (or a drill) it can easily snag the glove and snap/wrap your finger. You're much safer just getting a nick from the drill bit without gloves.

So buy the more expensive ones. 18 minutes is the length of the video. If you believe you can install them in less time, you're wrong. Your comment makes me laugh though.
Just wondering why people who can afford nice alloys for a car will economise on cheap universal mudflaps?
