    I lived in Belarus for 34 yers, and now I have been living in US for 3 yers. Yes, in Belarus overage salary is 250$, but some of people have 500-1000-2000$ per month. Taking in account that monthly payment for a house or an apartment (in your property) is 25$ (central heating, could water, electricity, gas, maintenance) it is not so bad even if you have 250$ per month. Medicine for free. The most complicated operations in hospitals is for free. In US it costs hundred thousand dollars. You can stay in hospitals for months and it costs zero dollars. Schools for free. Children gardens are for 15$ per month. Millions people got their apartments for free from government and that is not only during USSR period, but even for last 20 yers. No private property taxes, because 1-5$ per month it is same as for free. No crimes, no racism, free access to nature everywhere (not only in rest zones) and anytime. Belarus is not a business project as any western countries or as Japanese or as US itself. Belarus is still an independent country as well and doesn't have on its territory even Russians military bases. Is it not freedom?! I am definitely going back to my homeland.

      I am completely agree with you regarding the easy access to nature. I lived in NZ for some time and I was unpleasantly surprised with a plethora of fences. Private property occupied almost all the country, so you can enjoy with the nature only in small areas, unlike in Russia for example where I came back to eventually.

      What is the main reason for your return?

    • @patem8284
      @patem8284 5 ปีที่แล้ว +430

      @@DenEz_TV I think there is a combination of main reasons. 1) There is no friendship in USA between people. Friendship is completely destroyed. Completely. What they call "friendship" in US it is no friendship, just imitation of it. 2) There is no love in US between man and woman. In US to get married beautiful woman like Melanie Tramp, you supposed to be reach as Donald Tramp. And beautiful girls in US are seeking any way how to sell herself beauty as much expensive as possible. In Belarus and Russia you can be ordinary man and have very beautiful wife. It is very simple. 3) There isn't femininity in American girls and women. They are like man. And even if you have a lucky to meet a beautiful girl/woman (which is really rare case) she will be any way without something female in herself - on hormonal level, on mindset level. 4) People don't communicate to each other in sincere and simple way in US. They communicate in artificial and superficial extra energetic manner. You never can feel yourself relax when you communicate to people here. You constantly supposed to express pseudo exciting joy . It exhausts and devalues human communication. After communication in this manner you feel yourself still hungry for real communication. 5) People are too isolated both on heart/soul/mind level and infrastructure level. They live in their houses in neighbourhoods like behind bars. And it doesn't even matter they live in reach or poor , white or black neighbourhoods. 6) There is no room in US. It sounds weird, but it is true. There isn't room where to go for a walk. In Europe or in Russia/Belarus people walk everywhere and they walk where they live. There isn't difference between downtown and countryside. In Minsk we have a lot of parks and even small forests. And nobody looks weird if he walks on street. But in US you have to have reason to walk and not to look suspicious, for example, you have to walk together with your dog, or pretend to be jogging. It's ridiculous.
      These are main reasons, indeed there are some another reasons.

    I have visited Belarus twice in the past 15 months. It is a refreshingly clean modern city with many amenities and entertainment venues. Mass transportation is very efficient. Shopping at malls, grocery stores, restaurants, etc., is pretty much Westernized. Minsk is very green, the forests are lush, and the people are friendly. I admit as a child of the Cold War era I was nervous when I landed at Minsk’s airport and went through customs, but I loved Belarus and plan to visit again. I highly recommend it at a travel destination!

    I am an American. My great-grandfather came from the Pinsk, Belarus area when he was 16 in 1914 before the Russian Revolution really got going. My mother's side of the family is Eastern European. I am grateful for anyone who gives out information about my great-grandfather's homeland. I very much enjoy seeing videos like yours to inform me of how it is there now. I hope to go and see it someday because when I was a child he used to braid my hair (he was a barber) and tell me stories about when he was a child... about birch bark shoes, about harsh winters, and coming through Ellis Island. He knew mushrooms like a walking mushroom-o-pedia, wove wonderful baskets, made wonderful cherry liqueur, had his own garden and met my Ukrainian great-grandmother in the states and they were married for over 65 years. I wish I could get back in touch with my distant cousins in Belarus. In the late 1990's I wrote them a few letters. They still live in the same village of Slutsk.

    Thanks for your excellent excursion through Belarus. It looked well organized, and it’s natural environment was astounding, the fact the 40 % of the Country has forests and that the primeval forest still extends over such a large area shows that Capitalists have not yet exploited its natural resources. It was really interesting to see the agricultural developments and learn about Belarus industrial production. The various scenes from the different cities and their architecture made me want to visit and enjoy the culture and learn more about people who live in Belarus.
    In the West we get all the negative aspects about Life in Belarus, but seeing is believing, and what I saw was impressive, beautiful, and
    a place I would love to visit.
    Thanks for you well balanced and informative narrative.

I guess you have no idea about February agreement between Ukrainian president Yanukovich and the opposition signed by German, France and Polish ministers which removed the barrier (Berkut police guards) and helped the opposition to take power illegally in 2014 while the opposition had to disarm and free the government buildings according to the agreement . And surprise (!!!) Germany, France and Poland have recognised the illegal powers against of all given promises and guarantees.

    Limited amount of freedom? The tourist will never know that. The police are polite and helpful. I suppose that a visitor has no business doing political activism in a foreign country (go tell that to Soros). People seem to be quite satisfied with Lukashenko's rule. Since Belarus does not have much in energy or natural resources, which must all be imported from Russia, Belarus' options are limited. However, Russia buys everything that Belarus makes and despite the economic shortcomings, economic progress is evident everywhere. Just step into any large supermarket and you may be surprised at the selection and quality of the offerings.You won't see much "made in China", however. But that is precisely the point. If you go visiting Belarus, try their excellent Belorussian Balsam, a liquor made from vodka and roots (quite inexpensive in the supermarkets).

    "Limited amount of freedom" is a political / ideological term. I don't believe that on individual level citizens of Belarus are limited by anything but their income, health, and education. Just like anyone in the world. The "freedom" in your context is important only when all other limitations are resolved. (Personally - 50% of my life spent in Belarus and 50% in the USA)

      That is something which is hard to explain to the waste majority of people. In Belarus a lot of people do their private businesses, have their families, build their houses... Advantages for life and business compared to the majority of European countries is safety, much better opportunities to get your real estate than in majority of Europe, cheap and not bad organized public transport, cheap oil, availability of not bad education and healthcare system, not so bad working habits of people, mostly friendly surround. Drawbacks are extreme bureaucracy, formal difficulties to export the products to the economically richest west countries, low level of business initiative. That is not 100% good analyze, but my view as high educated foreigner married to Belarus citizen, living in Belarus with experience of living in the Netherlands. A lot of western fairy tails about "freedom and democracy" failed down when they did the lockdown and the huge system of bulls... related with Covid 19, against Constitution and human rights. At all, Belarus government didn`t ignore Covid 19, but made the most rational system of solutions. It is the fact that the system in Belarus is cruel and rude to political enemies in the country, but comparing the rest of the world in 2020. and 2021. Belarus became one of the countries with the highest level of freedom of the citizens.

    • @petergfrazier

      Alas, the limitation of health is the same thing as the limitation of freedom... there is not greater tyranny than the tyranny of disease. When a person falls to disease they often don't immediately die (unless the power of God is supreme), and in that compromised form they work to advance the agenda of their malady as their self has become subject to a foreign thing: a framework that advances harm. With greater number of the afflicted comes the Athenian majority, the direct democracy of disease... the culture then becomes easier for disease and harder for the continuity of human being (human as "I see, ergo I am..." seeing, but seeing I, not the obfuscations introduced by disease)... that is why a loss of political freedom is the loss of health. When it comes down to it, always fight for truth/beauty, even when it's the hard thing to do... you'll then be able to argue about different ways to maintain life, rather than not needing agreement in a world governed by the dead.
