The Hitman engine would probably work really well for a multiplayer Terminator game. Two players dropped into a huge map with one target. One of you protects. The other terminates.
I said to ioi in a ticket that it would be fun if you could play the entire campaign in freelancer, they haven't done that yet But with the code from the multilayer mode in hitman 2 it is indeed possible to do a coop mode in hitman. They already have the sniper coop characters so it wouldn't be much to do to get it to work. The disguises is probably the hardest thing to get right
The body could probably be the same, just different textures. I think real NPCs share the same body as their gender all across the game actually. The female might take some coding though, to make the player do female disguises instead of male disguises. If the female wasn't able to disguise though, it would still be good! As far as I have ever seen, it is never impossible to do suit only, so maybe with one person in disguise and the other sneaking through, or even both sneaking through suit only could provide some great fun! But they don't even have to do that, they can just bring Agent 47 himself and Lucas Grey with no suit variation. Lucas Grey is always wearing his smelly sweat drenched clothes anyway.
Jokes aside, this is a really cool idea. I like the idea of there being a possibility that a teammate gets arrested. That add some interesting consequences for going loud.
Devs really need make coop mode with 4 players and for balance, difficulty will be hard so that going loud to kill target will be very hard and every 10 mins, reinforcements will arrive. Also target should have 4 bodyguards.
I think the best co-op Hitman would have one player static and undetectable with a sniper rifle and one player playing normally, so the two could set up remote accidents or coordinate distraction noises top sneak through a guarded area.
Really well done! The editing is amazing, it’s awesome how you pay attention to editing the little things like the SA tracker and minimap. If only we had co-op in real life
Nice Drake and Josh reference at the end lol It would be nice if Knight and Stone were playable outside of Sniper Assassin, not even in a 2 player mode but as swapouts for 47 with their own versions of disguises (Knight obviously couldn’t be a guard as armed females don’t exist in Hitman for some reason)
Yeah it would be nice if female guards made a comeback! Weird that not a single female is armed in this game. Codename 47, Silent Assassin and Absolution had female guards and even Blood Money had some optional targets armed with knifes and I recall some of the NPCs picked a gun from the ground to defend themselves women included.
Yeah, after IOI scrapped Ghost Mode and then Sniper co-op , it's safe to say we won't be getting multiplayer modes from them. Our only hope is modders, but stuff like this might take some Sisyphean developement efforts to become real.
