Um actually, in the Broken Earth series orogenes don't harness tectonic activity, they can control all forms of kinetic energy and can pull energy out of plants and people as well. Tectonic activity is just an easy and common way to harness lots of power at one time.
Been a few years since I've read the books, didn't they primarily harness tectonic activities because the planet itself was a tectonic hell hole and orogenes were mainly used to be sent all over the place to stabilise the earth as to not have disastrous earthquakes ? And if I remember correctly they were also lied that they can only control tectonic plates because of their vast power and need to control them.

Yeah, in a show about pedantic details it seems unfair to say its Buffy-specific rather than from the wider Buffy-verse. I recently rewatched all of Buffy and thought that would give me an edge in this one but sadly had no idea because Angel's still on the watchlist. 🙄
Um, actually, Yuna is not a pop star in FFX-2. Her identity is stolen at the beginning of the game, and it is that character that is using her fame to be a pop-star. She is also later partially possessed by the spirit of a pop star through the dress spheres, but that is still not her, but a different character entirely. Yuna is still an adventurer throughout that game
She does, however, put on a Relief concert trading on her reputation as The Summoner Who Brought The Eternal Calm partway through the story. Just in case anyone thought they were remembering, wrong.
@@KelpTheGreat FFX-2 is silly. FFX takes itself too seriously. Um, actually, the extra rules of the Deathnote appeared in the commercial bumpers for the anime, and were not canon to the original manga nor did they ever come up in the actual series. The only actual rules that are in the series itself are: 1- write the person's name while picturing their face, this prevents people who share names from dying accidentally. 2- write the cause of death within 40 seconds or else just a heart attack. 3- after writing cause of death you have 6 minutes and 40 seconds to fill in details such as the time of death. Light also writes in a fake rule that once you write a name down you have to keep writing names down at least once every 3 weeks or something or else you'll die in order to take suspicion away from himself. Of course those are only the rules that Ryuk wrote down, we later find out in the series that even the death gods themselves don't know much about their own books, as new details are revealed through Light's experimentation and other revelations, such as the fact that the book can only influence a person's behavior for 23 days, so you can't write in a time of death longer than that, if a death god intentionally uses their book to extend the life of a human they like the god will die and the human will get whatever time they had left added to their life span, a human can obtain the ability to see people's names and lifespans by giving a death god half their remaining life span, and one important rule the king of the shinigami added in a special one shot sequel, if you actually try to SELL a death note then the person who buys it will die upon claiming ownership of it, and the seller will die upon collecting the payment. Quick addendum to how that "misspell a name 4 times" rule, it's actually a 2 part rule, the first saying a person becomes immune to the death note if their name is misspelled 4 times, but if you try to do that on purpose then the writer will die. I think the implications of that rule are that you can't make yourself immune, and if you try to make someone ELSE immune you can do it, but at the cost of your own life.
Those rules also appear in the pages between chapters of the manga volumes and in the full rules list included in the deathnote volume 13 encyclopedia book so no the rules are all supposed to be canon
@@kamronspencer4910 I got a copy of the deathnote omnibus after this video came out where I found out the full list of rules WAS part of the manga, but I will stand by the fact that none of them are ever brought up in the story itself

Um, Actually, Orogenes control "magic". One of the main applications of which throughout most of the series is the control of physical matter, but that's just a very crude way to apply the power, and there's just a whole lot more you can do with it. Um actually, it's better to have separate smoke detectors for ionic and photoelectric sensors, because the fire can be better detected with one sensor and the smoke can be better detected with the other. Instead, apparently, most vampires have several sires in the chain who made them.
Um actually, while the user not being able to get into heaven or hell is on the Death note’s rules, it technically isn’t really a rule as it is revealed by Ryuk at the end that heaven and hell do not exist for any human.
I would argue that it's still a rule, heaven and hell not existing doesn't make anything in that rule less true and therefore has no bearing in wether or not it's a rule regardless of if that rule is also true for everyone else.
Um, actually, summoners do not inherently hold any position of leadership within the hierarchy of the faith of Yevon. They can, such as Seymour, and are generally revered by the common folk and respected by the church, but they do not have leadership roles.

Douglass Adams' sense of humor is amazing. "The Meaning of Liff" is underrated and never really spoken about, but is still one of my favorite go-to encyclopedia of words for everyday things.
Um, actually the Final Summoning doesn't save the world. The Final Summoning is used to create an Aeon strong enough to destroy the monster Sin that threatens the world, but after Sin is destroyed, the spirit of Yu Yevon then possesses the Final Aeon and begins turning it into another Sin, during which the world has a temporary period of peace. In Final Fantasy X, Tidus, Yuna and the gang have to destroy Sin without the Final Summoning.
The question said "bring peace to the world" and a temporary period of peace is still peace, which is exactly the aim of the pilgrimage, even though they know it's only temporary.

It's not a bad idea but if it was not mentioned at the time of your home inspection it's probably not a problem in your area. Um, actually, Spike never eats the Ganymede rock lobster. He leaves it in the fridge for like a year, and it gains sentience.
He eats it at the end of the episode... much to my dismay
@@SEDYT358 umm actually, Ed eats it in her sleep
Bell peppers and beef… minus the beef
@@garibald2400 mmmm pudding…
ummm actually, the most pedantic point is that it's probably not a Ganymede rock lobster anymore, and is some bacteria or fungi that grew in its carcass, so the creature that emerged was what 'ate' the lobster
Um Actually, Momo from Avatar: the Last Airbender is not just a flying lemur, but a lemur-bat, a hybrid between the two creatures like almost every other animal in the world of Avatar, save a few notable exceptions.
Nah mate, Momo is explicitly called a flying lemur in the show
Nope, Bosco and platypus-bears are both considered bears in the show. Momo is a lemur, just like a human is a great ape.
How many times do we have to say this. He has magic powers, Jesus is clearly a Lich.
No phylactery. Perhaps he's an unwrapped mummy?
@@EarnestVictory I mean he's not a good lich if you know about his phylactery.
@@EarnestVictory isn't the grail his phylactery? As a Jew he'd have worn a leather one while praying. What happened to that one?
Given the contents of the Book of Revelations, I argue that Jesus can only be a revenant.
@@ccggenius yeah, but that's something of a catch all classification. Jason Voorhees is a revenant, and so are vampires and ghouls.
Totally blanked on the Darla question because he said it was based on Buffy. While in the same universe, the ressurection and second sire occurrs in Angel and is never even mentioned in Buffy's show. (ig its my own fault for seperating those two pools on knowledge, but come on, a LOT happened in Angel)
Yeah, in a show about pedantic details it seems unfair to say its Buffy-specific rather than from the wider Buffy-verse. I recently rewatched all of Buffy and thought that would give me an edge in this one but sadly had no idea because Angel's still on the watchlist. 🙄
Um actually, the creature companion question was Appa erasure
Maybe it was referring specifically to that story arc where Appa had been kidnapped
I don’t know why but Trapp’s “Jgurn Gblorbin” was ridiculously funny to me
Um, actually, Yuna is not a pop star in FFX-2.
And that's why FFX-2 is better than FFX.
Such a sincerely silly game!
I love that none of the contestants have a single moment of doubt that Yuna somehow went from world savior to pop star in the second game🤣🤣
@@shytendeakatamanoir9740 Are you saying that FFX-2 is better than FFX because the former, or the latter, is a sincerely silly game?
@@KelpTheGreat FFX-2 is silly. FFX takes itself too seriously. Tidus is a pretty great character as long as he's the comic relief, but fails dramatically once they try to makes him serious (especially the ending, when he acts like a manipulative prick).
So, I prefer X-2 for embracing the ridiculousness of the situation
The Ameglian Major Cow did describe it's various parts and cuts, but it was specifically created to be the only animal to be able to give consent to it's own slaughter and serving to customers.
It was played by a Doctor Who actor in the TV adaptation, Colin Baker if memory serves me correctly
Um actually the cow was played by Peter Davison.
@@michaelthomas6108 thank you for the correction, I knew it was one of those two
Thank you, I came here to say this exact thing. Except I didn't know about the doctor who actor part😂
Um, actually: Smoke detectors are either Ion OR photo. Ion detectors are outdated (and slightly radioactive) and are being phased out entirely for photo detectors. Am a fire alarm tech, just a year late.
Um actually, the Looking Glass station is not on the island in LOST, it is at the bottom of the sea.
Um, actually, the question never explicitly stated that the stations were on the island, just that the stations helped to maintain the DHARMA Initiative's presence on the island. If memory serves me correctly, I believe Hydra is on the 2nd island, so that would've be incorrect too if the question had stated the stations were on the island.
um actually i love joan's voice so much
Um, actually, Paul Giamatti's character is the hero in Lady in the Water.
“ *I’m back on the Jesus Train!* “
Well that reversed quickly and amusedly
@@wakeangel2001 most aren’t brought up yes although a few are
Um, Actually... The Master wasn't sired directly by Archaeus, he was also sired by another vampire (who just hasn't been identified at this point, but possibly the Aurelius from whom he took over command of the Order of Aurelius). The Master's bloodline simply descended from Archaeus as its ultimate progenitor rather than from the demon that created the other vampires (Maloker), giving the Master's progeny a tie to that particular demon.
Good morning, fellow routine watchers of Um, Actually!
Mornin' 🙌🏾
Um, Actually, Orogenes control "magic". One of the main applications of which throughout most of the series is the control of physical matter, but that's just a very crude way to apply the power, and there's just a whole lot more you can do with it. The magic is sort of like heat, or kinetic energy, and also life. It's a whole thing.
But only if they apply themselves
Um actually, it's better to have separate smoke detectors for ionic and photoelectric sensors, because the fire can be better detected with one sensor and the smoke can be better detected with the other. Some units have them together and won't go off unless both are triggered, rendering having both sensors absolutely useless.
I always get nervous when they start the first correction and it seems like the show will be very serious, then suddenly the correction takes a turn and we are talking about buffy/pokemon crossovers
Oooh! Is this actually a new episode this week!? Yay!
Nope. The corrections were from 2019, meaning the episode was from 2019 or at best 2020.
@@IceMetalPunk new to this channel though
@@IceMetalPunk damn 🤣
I am late to the party, just watching this show for the first time.
Umm, actually, in BVS, season 2, episode 3, titled "School Hard", Spike refers to Angel as his sire, establishing the terminology that any vampire in the siring chain may be termed a "sire", negating the notion that vampires have a single sire in general.
"There was a truce with the trees."

With a username like that I'd be offended if you didn't think they were your favorite 😉
Um, actually, summoners do not inherently hold any position of leadership within the hierarchy of the faith of Yevon. They can, such as Seymour, and are generally revered by the common folk and respected by the church, but they do not have leadership roles.
Um actually, the first question is about the show Angel /and/ BTVS as the re-siring of Darla is shown on Angel.
It's in the same Buffyverse so I still applies
Very late to the party with this one but Ummmmm Actually... The Hithhiker's Guide To The Galaxy is not a "series" but referred to as a "trilogy", even though there are books in it. Douglass Adams' sense of humor is amazing. "The Meaning of Liff" is underrated and never really spoken about, but is still one of my favorite go-to encyclopedia of words for everyday things.
Nah, it's a series.
yeah, it's a trilogy
Un actually, You also need to be able to visualize the face of the person you want to kill in order for the death note to work

It made me mildly disappointed that no one seemed to have any knowledge of dragon riders of pern. It would be a treasure trove of bonkers questions.

I want to see Charlie Kelly get his hands on the death note
Um actually, in FFX-2 Yuna is not a pop star, she's a sphere hunter. LeBlanc steals her songstress dress sphere and performs a concert with it, though it's not clear why.
Yuna does perform a concert midway through the game though
@@XemnasKH True, but the fact remains that pop star is not her primary profession.
Leblancs squad set up the concert to just make money. Hence why her goons were the guards
It's clearly so they could have scenes and music for the game's trailer.
Um actually, in ffx Yuna is not a religous leader, only a religous martyr. The leaders in their religion are the Maesters
I was thinking the same thing, but I give that a pass, since she is arguably still a leader, just not very high up the chain of leadership, like an assistant manager.

I don’t remember if this is true because I blocked edge dancer from my memory but good catch if it is
Honestly, "Not Every Blessing Is a Gift" is a better tagline. ;P
Um actually, while もも momo does mean peach, flying squirrels are a not uncommon pet in Japan and are called ももんが momonga, we usually shorten this to momo-chan, or then just momo. So that could be part of the word root for some of the creatures, like momo from Avatar.
As homeowners, my wife and I had simultaneous, audible, "Oh my god!" reactions to that final question. We're getting that shit tested TOMORROW.
They have testers plug it in in your laundry room
It's not a bad idea but if it was not mentioned at the time of your home inspection it's probably not a problem in your area. I say this because when I lived in Denver and my in-laws were selling their house, part of the selling process required radon testing. Denver is a place where geologically there's a lot of uranium oxides in the soil. But like I said I'm not going to tell you not to get it tested
Wouldn't it be inaccurate to say lift ate 10 types of pancake as the tenth was metaphorical?
She did eat it, metaphorically
If I'm right, Radon is caused by CFC's, its a common by product in on heating / cooling units and the reason for it's structural issues is that the emissions from such devices can built up around the ceilings, without proper ventilation that is.

@@jb888888888 Right, however... they're referring to the specific answer, at which point it should be appropriate to describe it correctly.
