For the GBA titles, I totally get why you'd pick those maps, I like them for the most part, even if I don't agree with them being the BEST maps in the games. FE6, I'd have gone with chapter 11A, The Hero of the Western Isles and I thought you were going to pick it when you were doing the runup to your choice. It's a map that shows off the reason that Roy and everyone is on the islands, it shows off the bandits, the corrupt church, that a whole stack of good people have been lied to by the Etrutians, it's got a lot of moving parts to try and keep track of, multiple recruits to handle including Thea's one that's a little more complex than it looks, what with needing to recruit Klein first or she'll just try and stab you. FE7, I'd have picked chapter E21/H22 Kinship's Bond, you've just seen Nils collapse and now you're being attached by mercenaries. It's another pretty complex map with multiple avenues with which to approach it, you can either bunker down and defend, or you can push forwards and rush the boss, which I appreciate. FE8, my choice would have been Distant Blade, chapter 9 in Eirika's route. It's not scoring too many points on the story front, but it's one of the more complex chapters in the game and saving all the villages in the chapter is a mission. You know, I think I have a type.
I love playing Battle Before Dawn in Hector’s story, sweeping down with my beefed up advanced units and crushing Ursula. My favorite map is Cog of Destiny. By that point my starting lineup is unstoppable.
Love the video! Agree on the Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn takes. However Battle Before Dawn is my most hated FE chapter of all, and that includes Thracia, Gaiden and any other games. I don’t know if you played FE7 on Hector Hard Mode but Battle Before Dawn on this mode is one of the worst gaming experiences I’ve ever faced
I'm a Shadow Dragon fan and I think what you said was perfectly valid. I like the game, I even beat it's maximum difficulty hard 5 mode (the only max difficulty mode I've ever bothered beating in a fire emblem game) and I can barely remember most of the game's maps. Hell, the ones I do remember I usually remember for dumb reasons, so I'm going to give my pick in that game to chapter 3 (I think it was 3) the map you recruit Navarre. I'm picking it cause I remember the boss being such overtuned bullshit in hard 5 that I ended up beating him by having him hit the like 2 units that could actually survive fighting him until his weapon broke and then just smacking him around for 10 minutes for exp with characters that struggled to outdamage his regen. The other 2 games of these I've actually played were the Tellius games. For Path of Radiance, while I wouldn't disagree with your choice, my overall favorite probably would go to Blood Runs Red, the map where the Black Knight comes out of a random house in the center. Absolutely shitting your pants because a third of your squad, including your healer, is now being threatened by one of the best and most intimidating antagonists the series has to offer is hella memorable. Still, that game has so many amazing levels, for either story or gameplay reasons, that it is really hard to pick just one. For Radiant Dawn, though, it absolutely has to be chapter 3-E: From Pain, Awakening. My favorite maps in that game are almost all ones where one group of playable characters fights another. Watching characters you've gotten to know being forced to fight each other (or downright refusing to do so) really hammers home the surprisingly anti-war themes of these war games, and makes for some really powerful moments. Of those maps, I think From Pain, Awakening does it by far the best, and serves as a massive story moment as well. Special mentions, though, to any map where you get to mulch the stupid fucking dawn brigade while controlling the Greil Mercenaries. Those always felt good.
Coming from your Part 2 vid to watch part 1 L Thracia take, but otherwise, I think you hit some of the best chapters from the following games I'd say chapter 21 from the Binding blade is beyond peak but your choice is legit Battle Before Dawn is an instant classic Hard agree with the final chapter of POR, insanely good map I would say rebirth 3 is better simply because Dheginsea is an impossing boss but the chapter before you get your hands on weapons like the Wishblade and Alondite which feel so cool to use against an unending hoard of dragons
Im shocked to see you choose the first tower map for RD instead of 3-13. I feel like the majority of people automatically place that one as their favorite
Oh god. . . Shadow Dragon's is awful, there's so many siege tomes with alot of uses it's genuinely awful, it was surprising how i beat that in H3 let alone H5

Man, I LOVE binding blade and I’m really happy to see others appreciating it.

Sorry, what do you mean “made him mad”? Ashnard was already mad… so much that the Medallion barely affected him!
That’s how mad he is.
