65k is a lot for a bare bones truck, and let’s not forget about mark up. Shit I remember for 65k you can get a fully loaded truck.
No market-ups in my neck of the woods (North Florida). Check around. It's getting better.
Fully loaded for 65k- just a memory, like getter a new car for 4k. Just memories, that’s all.
I find the XL trim level with convenience options very appealing. Luxurious pickups don't make much sense to me. Plush carpeting in a pickup makes even less sense. Durable and easy to clean makes the most sense.
Agreed
agreed, i think people buy those type of trucks just to flex lol. i think this one is perfect
Clickbait as usual
Yes you can get those floors in any trim, option vinyl floor covering $115
Xl trim has come a long way electric locks and windows are now standard. I'll stay with the gas version Def system is a pain in the butt!
Not having the power options makes the interior cheap and ugly lol
As I’ve aged, two things are paramount- the best seats and the best lights. Whatever trim level gives those, that’s what I want as a minimum. Next step up on a HD trailering truck- I want the best cameras and warning gadgets and the biggest fuel tank I can get so I don’t have to pull a 40 foot trailer into a 25 foot fuel bay. I don’t want a fancy sunroof or stupid expensive rims etc.
These trucks rock Ben , great video , love ❤️ Powerstroke n Super Duty
I like my 2 door xl 4x4 6.7 ho in blue basic bare bones 63,000 out the door. I ordered it November and got it in April
Love the truck I live in Cali where their are mountians and pull things and carry things in the bed really like the truck
It’s SRW. Traction in snow and ice the best
Tire lights on
😂
Built ford tough.....to buy.
If it is more than $40K, Its not affordable #BEN.
Surprised the payload isn’t higher on this base model with 8 ft bed. You have shown higher trims that had higher payloads, what makes the difference?
The amount of add on accessories, the diesel engine also weighs more than the gas, the crew cab also weighs more than a regular cab. Realistically these trucks can actually haul a lot more weight than the sticker says. Ford just needs to put a number on it for liability reasons
Doesn’t have upgraded GVWR
Ok, now that makes sense. Think you reviewed at HO short bed a couple days ago that had just over 4K payload
I love pickup trucks!! I wanna get one Ben.
Am I the only hearing "Hey it's Ben hard of hearing" in the intros?
That truck was $40K before Covid, these people have lost their minds.
No it wasn't. A crew cab f150 wasn't even 40k. The Sticker price on my 2017 XL STX f150 was 42k. (Equivalent to 47k now)..
That hasn't been 40k since 2005
@@alextran8188 I bought a 2019 F150 XLT just before Covid, loaded up with every goodie available for 39K out the door. MSRP was $54K. Same truck now MSRP is $60K, no discounts.
The more we pay for these trucks the better we like it. 😵💫
Yes I think you can carpet delete any trim if I’m not mistaken
Thanks again for going over the weights and payload. I am so confused because you showed a F350 with a Lariat trim with the diesel and it had a 4039ish payload. Why would this one be less?
The base XL with a diesel starts at about 87,000 in Canada.
That has way more options then i thought a xl would have
STX package mainly for the headlamps, although I wish they would all be led projectors, not reflectors.XL with stx that I built was 67,900
I bought an STX F250 powerstroke and every available option for that trim level. It has decent specs and does more than I need. I paid 71k out the door, very expensive, but it is equally (and better in some ways) equipped to my previous XLT for similar price in 2018
You can get a 2024 Silverado 2500 LT diesel for around that if not a few thousand more…
I've been looking at these and I didn't realize you can get the diesel without the stx package ive been wanting to get the 7.3 gas and they require the stx package on the XL for the engine and stx package it's 9,630 for the diesel is 9,995 why would they require that package to upgrade to the 7.3 engine but not the diesel it makes no sense. Instead ill get the XLT which is standard with the 7.3 and 4x4. Ford doesn't want to to have too cheap of a usuable truck. I would rather have a work truck and save the money.
65k wasnt far off from denali money not too long ago
2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty XL 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel 75th Anniversary Edition Crew Cab Long Bed 4X4!
So its 70+K once you pay for the BS dealer fees and sales taxes. That's nowhere near affordable for most of us. That basic ass work truck should be in the low 50's at most.
It is if you don't get the diesel or any other options.
Lariat only on vinyl floor
65k is a lot for bare bones truck, and let's not forget about mark up. Shit I remember for 65k you can get a fully loaded truck.
Again, $10k overpriced at the very least for a plastic interior work truck.
Great video but not affordable.
The power stroke diesel in a very expensive option. Over 1,000 pounds of torque comes with a price tag.
🔥👈
Stop this B.S. This is not affordable. And you trying to clear that up to anyone makes you no better than the people that messed this shit up in the first place.
Don’t try to bull shit me you car salesman look your truck is still to damn HIGH !!!!!!
