    Water or even spit sets up super glue pretty fast. No joke. Try it, it really works.

    I find if you have a lot of wooden coffee stirrers and ice lolly (popsicle) sticks you can get the roof on straight and level then hold it there while glue dries.
    I’ll also always do a stepped joint for strength.

    • @DocsKustomKorner52
      @DocsKustomKorner52  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a good idea, I don't haver any popsicle sticks but may have to. I usually work with what I have... Thanks for the tip!!

      @@DocsKustomKorner52 oddly enough I also find wooden blocks from Yenga work but you can also try stacking coins if you can get them to balance or tap washers bolted together. Basically anything that has a set uniform width and can be stacked 😉

    What I've done in the past cause I had a broken roof I put bathroom cups underneath to hold everything level to glue things. What would have been cool is where front and rear are put clear piece there. The baret use is very nice idea!

    what about a plastic bottle for a window for your truck

    • @DocsKustomKorner52
      @DocsKustomKorner52  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could do that, I've found that using a bottle though it has a bit of distortion when it flattens out. I like to try using kit glass as much as possible and have used a bottle or two in a pinch..

    Learning a lot of things here. I keep thinking about the body I have to chop when watching. It is too bad we can't share photos here. [I'm chopping a 1930 Ford model A.]
    I have to say, you're doing great knowing how difficult it is to chop any body, much less do it around a camera! Awesome sauce!

    • @DocsKustomKorner52
      @DocsKustomKorner52  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you're learning some things from what I do, everyone else too!! That's why my son thought it was a good opportunity for my doing this!!
      It is tricky working around the camera for sure but making it work well!!
