    Good video overall man. But.... BEARING RACES.... if it's a emegency fix on the tracks sure reuse but when doing it as routine maintenance ALWAYS REPLACE BEARING RACE with the new ones that come with the bearing. Ps whoever has worked on those handbrake shoes has put the bottom spring in wrong location, it's supposed to be BEHIND the adjuster star wheel. Cheers

    With the cone washers, unscrew the nuts leave them on the thread screw in both your 1.25 bolts enough so it creates a gap where the gasket is then screw 2 of the nuts back in itll bring the other 4 cones out enough to be free or free enough you can wiggle it with a screw driver do the same for the remaining 2 cone washers. Easiest way and works every time i got a rubber mallet for those cones and found it really hit or miss, this way always works.

    Hey John, great video as always! I replaced the sending unit for the fuel pump, and the gauge is still reading wrong. Is it a ground issue that could be causing this still. If so, where would I look. 07 tacoma 4.0

    Next time for the bearing seal use a brass punch from the inside through. Hit the wheel bearing and the seal comes with it. Cheers!

    How did the studs ''pull out'' 3.20 - i thought they'd be threaded in and you said you'd already loosened the nuts at the start of the video - You also said 2 of the studs broke - how did you get the remaining parts out ? Thanks

    just use a piece of wood from the outer hub section to knock the inner bearing & seal out in one go. In most cases the seal can be reused if in an emergency and the wood wont harm the bearing

    The one part I was waiting to see was the stud removal and replacement and you sped it up! 😂

    • @Adv4x4
      @Adv4x4  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Haha my bad! I just took 2 of the nuts thread them both in one stud then tighten them against each other! After that you should be able to remove the stud+nuts as if it were a bolt. Just be careful because they can be stuck in the hub. It’s worth heating up the stud first before you try and back it off!
