      The Irish people decided that they want to support Ukraine.
      Flying the Ukrainian flag is part of that, a small part.
      More important is that we decided to open our country and our homes, to Ukrainian refugees.
      Now either offer to do something to help, or shut up with the pathetic drivel about "...empty virtue signaling..."

      @@gloin10 They can fly the flag on an otther day ,its our national day though i would prefer it was more about celebtating christianity to ireland as it was in my young days.However it is now about irish people being irish ,which is exactly why the Ukrainians are fighting so bravely for Ukrainians to be Ukrainians.

      The best possible day to do it WAS our national day.
      It allowed us to tell the entire world that we DO support the Ukrainian people.
      There is not much point "...celebtating christianity to ireland..." as Christianity is shrinking in Ireland.
      Thankfully.

      The reason for the war is quite simple;
      A) Putin cannot tolerate a neighbouring country which is a functioning democracy.
      B) Putin like to pretend that the concept of 'Ukraine' does not exist. This is a long running theme in Russian nationalism.
      You can go and screw yourself as well, by the way, as you are equally shilling for a murderous maniac.
