- with the increase in popularity and cost of the fox body mustang going up and up, is the LT1 F-body the next big thing to race at the track for cheap performance and street use. I know the LS is faster and used in many applications but they to are now going up in value and so are the aftermarket parts. This leaves the average joe like myself looking for the next best thing. Only way to find out is test it on the track. #lt1 #camaro #LT1 #lt1 performance

I have a 30 year old F body Camaro and I’ve had it for the last 15 years. It’s actually all basically still stock. I’ve owned many others during this time including 3 6th gen’s one being a ZL1 and believe it or not I prefer my F body over them all!!

It’s in its way. I had toe replace the Opti and the fuel pump and I dragged my feet on it. I’m going to do another test run with hood tires before I swap the rear out and install the nitrous. Also have a deal on a pro charger I may jump on
Opti takes a little of the fun away but I shock people with mine all the time
Yea, it sidelined me for a little bit but I was back on the track last weekend
Just get the 24x kit
@@cityconference5130 That 24x is the best thing I could've done for my 96 Camaro easy. Even stock the car picked up power 👌
I went with the torqhead kit. Haven’t installed it yet as I’m looking for time to do the heads, cam, lifters, roller rockers, and torqhead kit all at once.

I ordered myself 1.7rr’s non aligning and pple act like they don’t wanna put them on because most people run 1.6’s . What all did u have to change to run 1.7s other than the springs
I also have hardened push rods but the main thing is valve cover clearance. Most don’t fit under stock covers. You may want to check that
I need some advice on what to get for mine looking for about 450 hp but anyone can just buy parts and put on a engine I’m just not sure what to get wanting to know what all your car has?
So far stock heads, ported intake, ported heads, 503 cam, larger injectors and throttle body. Currently redoing the heads with larger rockers and professional timing. I also changed to a 12 bolt rear, 410 gears and adjustable suspension. I will be running those test in march then adding the nitrous
