After more than two decades in IT working predominantly with Microsoft OS products starting with DOS and then Win NT until fast forward to today with Win 11, I look back and see that most technicians, myself included, always have had cut out and trim down the Microsoft OS. All OS versions have always been bloated. I thank all the mentioned developpers for their efforts in bringing us these essential debloating tools. Makes life at work much easier and more efficient. Thank you britec for your great videos of showing these goodies. God bless you sir.
Thank you Brian. You were the first channel I subscribed to. I have followed you from the time I got my first PC and you have helped me so much I can't even begin to tell you how much I have learned from you. 😇
Thanks Brian I have just resurrected my old Asus ROG 17" laptop with Windows 11 Pro and the old girl has unsupported hardware. I did set the iso to 23H2 and set policies to it to get only 23H2 updates but Microsoft overrode me and I now have 24H2 as the winver. So this is going to help me no end😉So a heads up for those who like me are going to go with the latest iso and using unsupported hardware.
Thanks for your Videos Britec. The "Shot up 10" is awesome. This Microsoft simply digging its own grave. People hate this co pilot and recall spyware. Too bad you do not have movies of "Immigration" to Linux and still making Windows third party software working. That's the main thing that is missing so people will be able to leave windows for good, and Your knowledge about computer and how to solve things is much more bigger then us the average guys so you'll probably will solve things for many people who are stuck with Windows because of third party software.
Do any of these debloating tools have an option to save all the ticked and unticked preferences in some sort of INI file or similar, thus reducing or eliminating the need for an interactive session when cleaning up multiple machines?
Now Brian just where did you get Chris Titus's tool from the site when I click on download is asking $10 for that tool is that correct?? I was under the impression it was open source and one could donate which I usually do but something mate you should have mentioned.
Well that might fix some of windows but if the user is a Google chrome user that poses another dilema because Google is planning on adding their own feature to the browser that is similar to Recall. Yes it takes snapshots. It's called PROJECT JARVIS.
In Flags i DISABLE: Use Windows WGC API for screen capture Use Windows WGC API for window capture Desktop Screenshots Element Capture (turn off NPU) Enables experimental WebNN API features Captured Surface Control Direct Sockets API Recheck after browser update.
I don't trust any of these scripts. The chance of causing Windows to crash or not boot is high. Installing the Enterprise version of Windows gives a clean install. No tweaking needed.
Where can one find, or does anyone have, a comprehensive list of all Group Policy Objects (GPO) settings that affect privacy and security and are worth adjusting? I've found that programs which automate these changes often end up causing issues, or their configurations rely on registry edits that don’t later appear in the GPO editor.
The titus tool is a good option if your looking for better performance because it actually reduces cpu cycles some what. it will get better over time as well. Probably O & O shut up is the most popular debloat tool.
It still has bloat backed in just not as much as the regular Professional & Home versions. Run one of these cleaners/tweakers & you'll you can still cut out some stuff that invades privacy.

I believe it would be easier to remove Windows and install a Linux distro that already has all of this disabled by default instead of doing all of the Windows removals. Unless you need software that is native to Windows, I'm not talking about games. For me, Steam games perform better on Linux than on Windows, even after doing all of this deblotting and disabling unnecessary services. Honestly, I'm tired of Windows, tired of deblotting, tired of spyware, and most importantly, tired of a system that increasingly wants to dictate which hardware I should buy to use this shitty system. I've been a Windows user since DOS and I'm tired of it. I'm only using Windows on a virtual machine to stay up to date, but this Recall has become the final nail in the Windows coffin.

I have used O&O Shutup10. It lets you save your selection; just put it on a USB stick and load it into the other PCs.

Does these debloat tools break some features in w11, like explorer for instance, making it kind of impossible to remove copilot and recall safely ?
Just in case, is there a Win10 companion piece on debloating?
I just de-bloated Windows 11 today. I completely erased it, I don't even have Windows 11 backed up. Debian 12 runs great on my Lenovo IdeaPad.
Some of us need to use Unreal Engine 5 to develop their game...waiting for Macs to be viable (aka allow external GPUs)
