So he was already dead according to the series and in real life and that's why he wasn't in that episode of them performing songs they've sung before.

I'm so glad that no one trashed Mark Salling here. His crime was appalling, but the loss of him/Puck is tragic. I have literally had bad dreams over this. Came here to listen, hoping it will be a balm for my soul. I'm trying to take solace from him and Corey singing together again. But find myself listening through my tears.
