I’d recommend the S8+ :) It is 12.4” so a little more portable. I wouldn’t think you’d actually need the Ultra for planning. It’s a bit overkill, but if you have the funds and want to go for it, why not?

I have a Samsung s8, and I've been using it for note taking, but I'm not sure if I should write with my hand on the display or just hover it while taking notes. In Onenote (or other note taking apps in general), let's say I write several lines of notes (with the pen (not typed) and then switched to some other task, have these lines been saved as one unit, or can I manipulate them individually. For instance can I circle each individual line and say move it to another location?
Yes you would be able to use the lasso tool to select the individual letters, words and lines that you would like to copy, cut or move. This works in OneNote, samsung notes and many note taking apps. This is great for copying todos from one day to the next or simply moving an appointment in your digital planner.
Hi I have a question about the easy writing pad when using the s-pen. When it returns from an end of line I can't get it to line up with the next line. It always drops too low. Any suggestions? I use noteshelf on an ipad and it's awesome. Wanting to change to snotes and the tab s8 but I need that to work well for all my hand written notes. Any help would be greatly appreciated
@@Jack-xy4fy my work around is to resize the box so it's about the same size as a line. There is a size that works, although it makes the box smaller than I'd like. I've put a feature request in to Samsung so hopefully it will be fixed one day. Seems like a pretty big oversight to me.
@@deaneaxboy me too. I noticed it while trying it out in the shop and pointed it out to the salesman. I actually prefer to use dictation for notes, so it doesn't slow me down much anyway.

@@roxiserban When you say PC Notes are you referring to the desktop version of Samsung Notes? The planner will work with any pdf annotation app. And it will sync across their device ecosystem.

Hello, i have a strange problem related to sound feedback of pen in notes and in screen off memo. After fresh install of android 13, the spen is making sound like pen on paper in notes app and in screen off memo, but after a wile the spen is mute in screen off memo and notes app. Its working with write sound only in writing on screenshot and thats it. If i reset tablet to default, the sound of writing on paper is back in screen off memo and notes, but after 10 min is mute again. Maybe it has something to do with updating apps on google play?
I have not heard of such issue. It is most likely related to the app or system update. You should make check reddit and see if anyone is experiencing the same issue.

I assume that whenever you show the planner screens it requires that the user has bought your planning system. I don't see planning screens in the apps themselves.

It's good to know you can use notes and all that but isn't it it much simpler and more efficient to just buy a decent laptop with a full copy of MS Office and simply type your notes rather than highlighting and converting it? That will save you lot of money and time. Imagine how quick you can do that with the Dell 7430. This reminds me of a joke, in the 80s, aboard the space station, American astronaut takes out the pen and tells his Russian cosmonaut that NASA spent 5 years and made this $10,000 pen with special ink to write in space. The Russian takes out a pencil and he says, mine doesn't cost anything.

It is a pretty awesome size for a tablet. I will say though at some points its a little too large for personal carry.

I am having problem with spen. Sidebutton clicking randomly even if I don't touch it. Have you experienced this?

Do you prefer Samsung notes over One note? I also own the S-22 Ultra
If you are sticking to just Samsung devices then I would choose notes. If you look to sync across windows and apple devices then I suggest OneNote.
