- Join a renowned leader in biodynamic agriculture for an in-depth exploration of the power of the biodynamic agricultural preparations. In this workshop, Hugh Courtney will introduce the fundamentals and purposes of the nine basic biodynamic preparations, given to the world by Rudolf Steiner in 1924. He will share wisdom and insights he has gathered in practice since 1976. Over the last 40 plus years, Hugh has taught hundreds of people how to make biodynamic preparations that work amazing transformations in soil and plants. As a believer in hands on and direct experience of these preparations, he will lead participants in this class on a journey, both in stirring the preps and in treating beds for planting, allowing them to witness the effects of the preps and of proper practice in their use. Hugh will also teach the basics of using biodynamic planting calendars to accomplish better results in garden and farm. He will also share practical exercises he has originated over many years of direct experience, including the Sequential Spray Technique to either attract or deter moisture, and the Tree Energizer Method.
R.I.P. Hugh J. Courtney, July 8, 1932 - June 15, 2020. Hugh crossed the threshold on Monday morning, June 15, 2020, peacefully at his home. Over the years, Hugh has trained and mentored hundreds of students who are carrying on #biodynamic practices for the regeneration and healing of the Earth, her beings and humanity.

Amazing. This marries the two things I love the most: consciousness and gardening! I’ve always felt drawn to biodynamics but knew I needed to wait until I could give it my full attention. So excited to learn about it now. Thank you for having this channel and putting in all the teaching. Im blown away.
What are you talking about? What does this have to do with consciousness? Or rather, what makes other farming methods less "conscious"?

I cannot believe how I have missed this information all my life I now buy when I can from a biodynamic farm- the only way to farm in my opinion
I'm feeling like this is similar to knf. Im thinking it's very much about inoculating nutrition and microbiology into the soil and it feeds the plants..... microbiology multiplies and multiplies if not disturbed by tillage or toxins.... this is of course my limited understanding but I'm thinking that that is what it's all about. I love that you can grow the ingredients on your farm or in the garden. Fermentation is amazing and microbiology is fascinating.

How do we get a planting calendar? Definitely wanna try this.
I've heard of Biodynamics before and honestly it seems a bit strange (to say the least), but I'm interested in where this is going. I wonder what percentage of people who are into permaculture rely on / believe in Biodynamics?

Biodynamics has some excellent ideas and understanding but there's no need to go strict and old fashion with it, absorb what is useful, discard what is not and create your own way.
Basics are important, specifics, not so much.

Microbiome and endophytes. Stainer said that the cosmos influence bacteria. And bacteria are in our gut, in the soil, and in plants. Bacteria are force in preparations. And preparations are endophytes growing like in the laboratory.
The cosmos influence a lot of things. So what? The cosmos is not God.

Isaiah 57:19-20 "''Peace, peace, to those far and near,' says Yahweh. 'And I will heal them.'
But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud.'"
If you continue in unbelief, God will continue to set himself against you, until more and more your life consumes itself in emptiness and misery.
