Thanks Dennis!!!
Love Christmas morning!
Hi Dennis nice to see you again. Penn 716z reels are so nice. Made in USA . Thank you Dennis for sharing!
You bet! I am going to try and do a video on that one
That Penn Mariner is gorgeous! I’d love to see that reel as you service it. Of course I’d love to see that Penn 716. Those reels are very expensive if you can find them. I almost bought a whisker reel as you know. I don’t like those Chinese Ambassadors either. It would be great to see a comparison between the Chinese and Swedish versions of these reels. Great projects ahead Dennis! - Chris
I will see what I can do Chris
Dennis as always enjoy listening and watching you with the reels!! Always watch on TV and never allow me to put in comments. Thought I check it out in my phone this morning!! Enjoy the old Penn, Mitchell and Ocean City reels.
If possible put me in for the drawings you are having . If I am ever up that way I may try to stop in for a chat.
As always your friend in Christ.
Johnny
Thanks Johnny. The drawing entries are individual by each giveaway, so stay watching in order to enter. Best wishes - Dennis
Great lineup of Saltwater Reels but I like the Penn Ultralite and the Closedface Shakespeare.
I will see if I can do them as videos
Nice looking project reels Dennis. You have a wonderful week bud. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks, you too!

The dreaded Chinese Abu's !!
Not my favorite....at all
Hello,
Im having some issues with my peerless #9 reels I use for walleye trolling.
Last time I was out, two of the reels started having issues where they are fine with no load but when retrieving the planer boards or a fish, they would become very difficult to turn. Pumping the rod and reeling in slack allowed me to get them in. They free spool with no issues. They were partially serviced and lubricated with light oil this spring.
I plan to do a full disassembly and service. Are there any parts I should pay special attention to that would cause this problem? Could it be as simple as they need a light grease on the bushings and gears instead of oil?
Thank you, these were my grandpa's reels and I hope to continue using them for many years to come.
I think the cleaning and take apart is the firs step. You may have an issue with the track of the worm gear or pawl, but you want to get inside and check. It could be dried grease or dirt holding it back - Dennis
that last Wondercast was my first reel after graduating from my Zebco 202, I really thought I hit the big time with that one
Great memories. I like this version a lot.
Was that a ss 2600 daiwa
I have 3 ss2600 for carp fishing
