    Excellent channel Dennis! The looks on my fishing friends' faces are priceless when I tell them I can, and do, fix their reels. I just bought a Penn Rival 15 in line counter so that big Rival interests me. Thank you.

    I would love to see the video on the old Abu 5000 that was at the end. Thank you for the great content.

      YW - I have several videos on the Ambassadeur in my library and you can view them with a quick search. If I have a chance, I will try this one too.
      Thanks for asking

      @@2ndChanceTackle Thank you for responding. The only reason I asked is there are few videos of the older reels with knobs on both sides. Thank you again,
      Brian

    amazing, as many times as you've said, you don't need to remove the bail, the reels in a bag always have them removed

      Yup - and that seems to be the downfall of a lot of those projects. Let's see what happens with this one. I need to get a replacement spool too!

    I’m not a fan of the Mitchell 320. It just doesn’t seem to be as well made as my other Mitchells. I have 65 mostly saltwater Mitchells from France in my collection. I hope you’ll do that Penn 5500ss just because I’m very curious as to why the AR is not working. Congrats Dennis on all the subscribers you have now. You are perhaps the finest teacher on the internet showing us all how these many reels are serviced and repaired. - Chris

      The 320 had its place in the line up as a value priced reel. I have one that has caught a lot of fish. They were not as over-engineered as the 300 or bigger reels, but were certainly well made for the price - Thanks Chris

    Dennis have you done a video on a snowbee 12 Lever drag multiplier as I’ve got one to service is it basically the same as most Lever drag the one I have to do is a two speed any info would be helpful I’ve tried to aquire info like schematics to no avail hope your well Derek from Newcastle upon Tyne England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

      Derek - I have not done that video. I don't think that reel is available in the US. From what I can see, it appears to be a generic small frame lever drag reel. I think you will be fine opening it up for service - Dennis

      @@2ndChanceTackle thanks anyway Dennis I took a chance pretty standard inside I think the company do a lot of high end fly rods and reels the reel in question retails in the uk for £400 sterling I think they must rank with Sage and Hardy over here in the uk can’t say I’ve come across them before but the guy in the local tackle shop who I get some of my repairs from reckons there pretty popular I suppose with guys with a lot of money Eh anyway thanks again for your help Dennis 👍

    Are spinning reel spools interchangeable for example if I have a size 5000 reel can I use a size 8000 spool to add to my line capacity

    • @2ndChanceTackle
      @2ndChanceTackle  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      For the most part, they are not interchangeable because the spool diameter and rotor width vary as the reel sizes increase. In some cases, a 3000. and 4000 spool for the same model as well as a 5000 and 6000 spool, may work, but generally, they are not interchangeable. Thanks for asking - Dennis

    Hello Dennis, Hope all is well. I have a sea striker st60 and need a handle for it, and having a hard time finding one. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much in advance.

    • @2ndChanceTackle
      @2ndChanceTackle  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The reel is not supported with parts or service from the manufacturer, so you will have a hard tie finding the replacement. Best to check for a parts reel on eBay or at local sales - Dennis
